David wrote one of my favourite books "Starter For Ten" and as such I have always read anything he has published, am not big on romance novels but I always find his work almost anti romance in a way. I was delighted to approved for this audiobook to hear his newest work. A full review will follow once I have listened. But going in the opening chapters I can say it I believe it to be a firm 3.5 stars

FULL REVIEW:
Heartwarming without being overly icky sweet a real honest look at how you can be lonely surrounded by people and have a full a life but still be alone. Funny with rich characters written with style and flair. Great book.

Narrators on the audiobook were both good with a chatty tone that matched the writing. No annoying accents, easy to listen too all and all very good.

This book was so compelling. The audiobook too was absolutely brilliant and so well narrated. I loved the two actors that portrayed their respective characters who effortlessly brought the feel and their voice to them. I think it was this that massively helped with my engagement with the book as it was so easy to listen to.

It had such a real and raw element to it, with both of their respective narratives no doubt striking a cord with so many readers. It was down to earth and had characters you could relate too.

Marnie, who finds herself cancelling more outings than she attends, stuck in a boring, lonely life trap. Michael, divorced and isolated who finds solace in rambling and the infinite space in the outdoors. A walk coast to coast sees these two characters meeting, and they find they have more in common then they first thought.

It was a steady yet comforting read and I enjoyed seeing the story develop as they rambled on. Really enjoyed this audiobook!
