I CAN’T BELIEVE I MISSED GIVING FEEDBACK ON THIS SERIES. This series was AMAZING and I loved every single minute of it! Briar’s writing is brilliant and it’ll stay in my head forever

Wow, I am sorry it took me so long to get into this series. Book #3 in the Blood of Fae series did not disappoint! The character work that Briar does is really good, and I love how she gets me interested in the side characters as well. Thank you for the chance to read this story!

I’ve been really enjoying this series, and Empress of Fae definitely kept me hooked. It picks up right where book two left off, and from the start it’s clear Morgan is stepping fully into her power. She’s still figuring things out, still making mistakes, but that made her feel even more real to me.
The plot is a bit more political this time—more court drama, less action—but I didn’t mind it. It felt like a necessary buildup. And Draven? Still obsessed. He’s loyal, intense, and honestly the dynamic between him and Morgan is one of my favorite parts of the whole series.
I love how Briar Boleyn twists Arthurian legend into something fresh and magical. The ending definitely has me needing the next book ASAP.
Solid 4 stars. Not my absolute favorite of the series so far, but still really good.

Divided by Oceans but Eternally Bonded
Morgan Pendragon has another name now: Morgan Le Fay. As her true heritage slowly emerges from the mists of the past, Morgan renounces one possible future as the new ruler of the fierce Siabra fae and the wife of the Prince of Claws and vanishes through a portal–returning to Camelot and the Rose Court where her friends and younger brother lie in mortal peril from Arthur's cruel wiles.
But back in the Court of Claws, Kairos Draven won't allow his beloved to disappear from his life so easily. His bond with Morgan goes beyond blood, love, life, and even time itself and neither one of them can relinquish its power or its pull.
I was eager to start this third book in the series and started it right away after book 2. I felt the pacing of this book was much more consistent than the previous book and although there are dark themes it wasn't as dark as books 2. Morgan and Draven are frustrating to root for. As much as I want to see them succeed with each other, and for the kingdom, for her brother etc. they really lack in meaningful communication and their reactions to situations feel very juvenile at times. I will read book 4 because I am curious how this saga ends. Hopefully it has the same charm as how the series started.

✨✨✨✨.5 Stars
I flipping love this series and what’s funny is it was this book that made me realise it was based off the Morgan le fay and this is a fantasy rendition of it.
I am so there for it.
I feel like it’s the right amount of Fantasy 95% to 5% (good smut)
We have had character development obviously from the previous two books to the end of this,
We have had some unexpected twists and turns if you ask me and we are all amount Morgan Pendragon!
I really enjoyed the dreams - I thought that was very bond and mate like and it was real? So be interesting if we find out how and why in the next one. Also what’s to become of gorlois whose name I’m sure I am not pronouncing properly in my head.
Fingers crossed for a character and sad to see some leave.
Looking forward to reading the last one but idk when that’ll be because I just don’t like to finish a series because then it’s the end isn’t it 🥲
Would rec if you like fantasty, historical fantasy, fae, human, magic big cats and a slither of romance 🥰

This book is a wild, magical ride with plenty of action, romance, and intrigue. The world is beautifully crafted, and the stakes feel bigger than ever. The characters have great chemistry, and the twists keep things interesting. Some parts drag a little, but overall, it’s a gripping, fun read that keeps you hooked. A solid 4 stars perfect for fantasy lovers who enjoy a mix of adventure and romance.

I was able to get the whole series of this and I loved it I’m not very good at reviews but I would like to enjoy reading more by this author. I hope they continue to impress us with their writing

RAN to this book immediately after finishing Court of Claw!! This series is stunning and has kept me on the edge of my seat!
In this book we are back in Camelot to take on Morgans evil brother King Arthur and save her little brother and her homeland from his tirade.
I loved seeing Morgan plot and deceive everyone in Camelot, claiming to have been held hostage all this time while she was really out saving another realm and coming into her power. She is learning and uncovering more about her mysterious past and I am living for all the reveals we got in this book!
The plot twists keep coming in this book as we meet Arthur's new wife Orcaedes and see what he's been up to while Morgan has been away.
We are also following Draven and what he's up to getting Myntra back on track so that he can follow his mate and help her on her mission to save Camelot. The tension and slow burn really ramps up here and I love the development of Morgan and Draven's relationship throughout this book.
Multi-POV really helped round out more of the character development. I loved the development of our side characters, especially Lancelet, and their romantic journey that we follow.
Fantastic representation of LGBTQIA+ characters throughout this series.

I am unfortunately not into dark romance or dark fantasy so this book wasn’t aimed for me - I did appreciate the writing style though.
Thank you for allowing me to read a copy of this book.

Empress of Fae is the third book in the series and I loved it! The author has built a world and a cast of characters that just keep on giving! This book has landed us back in the world of Pendragon and heartless King Arthur. I love all the references to camelot and the knights of the round table and how the author used this story to create a fictional world.

Empress of Fae by Briar Boleyn is a captivating blend of mythology, romance, and high fantasy. Morgan Pendragon, now revealing her true identity as Morgan Le Fay, faces powerful enemies and a deepening bond with Kairos Draven, a man whose connection to her defies time and space. As Morgan’s powers grow, so does the tension, with forces in both the fae and mortal worlds seeking to control or destroy her. Boleyn masterfully combines romance with political intrigue, creating a thrilling, action-packed narrative that keeps readers hooked. Fans of complex characters and epic fantasy will enjoy this intense, multi-layered tale of destiny and power.

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
"Yours is the only kingdom I'll pay felty to. Yours are the only feet at which I'll willingly kneel." He leaned back and touched my chin, lifting it. "I'd rather be a villain by your side than play the hero for anyone else. The world is dark and vile, but I'd willingly follow you into the depths of hell itself. All I want to do is shield you. Do you understand, Morgan? Youre my redemption, good or bad, right or wrong."
Empress of Fae is the third book within the Blood of Fae King Arthur retelling series. In this, you see Morgan overcome so much. Sure, in the beginning, it was really hard for her to comprehend that she was married and had a mate. So she did what any normal person would do in this situation: run away. Not that she's back at Camelot; well, let's just say she doesn't really know who she can or can't trust. Which honestly doesn't change much from her experience before she left for the mission in book one.
That being said, we learn so much in this book at the same time. We know what's truly going on with Arthur. Which, if I'm being honest here, blew my mind, but it makes so much freaking sense now. We also get more pieces of the prophecy and who it might actually be the downfall of. Not really prepared for the next book, but we definitely need to save Draven's sister. I'm also kind of intrigued to see Morgan's true father now.
On top of all this, Morgan finally accepts the mate bond, which made me so freaking happy. Then we find out who was behind most of the betrayal and deaths throughout this book. Which, again, blew my freaking mind. This book, no, this series, has been so much fun and so good that I'm going to be so sad when it ends.
In the end, I need more, and I need an epic battle/revenge on her dad. Let's go kick some ass!

Really enjoyed this 3rd book in the series! I enjoyed getting to dive into Morgan's mysterious past and learn more about our heroine in this book. It was very fast-paced and kept me wanting to read more, which is so important in a series in my opinion. Oftentimes things get repeated, and I started to get bored but that didn't happen in this book. Also always love that there are multiple POVs to really get to know each character on a deeper level. Overall, really good!!!
A big thank you to Briar Boleyn, Starwater Press, and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This fast paced third book in the blood of a fae series perfectly continues the journey set in the first two books while preparing the reader for a spectacular finale. I love the MC’s relationship and how devoted they are to one another.

Morgan Pendragon is now Morgan Le Fay, and her life is nothing short of chaos. After uncovering the truth about her heritage and rejecting the throne of the Siabra—and the idea of being the Prince of Claws' wife—she escapes through a portal back to Camelot. Her focus? Protecting her friends and brother from Arthur's cruelty and saving the Rose Court from looming destruction.
Meanwhile, Kairos Draven isn’t about to let Morgan disappear. Their bond goes beyond love, blood, or even time, and while his devotion is deeply romantic, it also has its slightly obsessive moments. Still, his determination to fight for her makes him impossible not to root for.
This book dives deeper into Morgan’s growth as she starts unlocking her immense powers, infused with the essence of gods. Her journey feels so relatable—fighting against a life seemingly written for her and reclaiming her agency. I loved seeing her step into her power and take charge of her destiny.
Draven’s character arc shines here too. Despite the initial tension, he fights for Morgan in the best way—by supporting her battles and owning up to his mistakes. Their dynamic is equal parts tension and devotion, and watching him grovel? Chef’s kiss.
The stakes are high, the romance is still slow burn (with just enough spice to keep things interesting), and the action is nonstop by the second half. While some of the pacing dragged early on, the twists, betrayals, and heartfelt moments more than made up for it.
Morgan and Draven’s journey is messy, emotional, and full of jaw-dropping twists, and I am here for it. Bring on the next book!

In comparison to the other books in the series this one fell a little short for me. I enjoyed it overall but at the same time I felt as though this part of the story could have been left out. Morgan was very frustrating to me during this book. I did really enjoy the addition of Draven's POV. And some of the new characters were really interesting to me. Overall though this story wasn't my favorite. I am interested though to see how the final book goes.

Empres of Fae. Ooooo. My fellow readers I know that you are going to love the steamy side of this romantasy. Although there some house cleaning that Morgan and Draven need to do. Why must there always be a challenge to when one only wants to get back to her brother and protect to him?
Morgan better watch out. All the back stabbing and lying eyes is to much for a Fae Princess to handle on her own. I loved all the action. The drama between the siblings. The entertainment among the enemies.
And the romantic interludes between our main couple. This was a exciting and fun story to chat with my friends bout. I give this book two snaps and a - Fenx,if Florian didn’t have a chance what made you think that you had one? Bwahaha! Until next time my fellow readers.
Read on!

This whole series was kindly sent to me by netgalley!
It was so damn good, and I will be rereading this at some point! Definitely recommended it!

This follows the trend of being a constituent 3 star series for me. Way too much filler and Morgan can be insufferable.

Picks up right after book 2 and this is my favorite. I don't know if it's just me, but Book 3 always hits hardest (Prisoner of Azkaban, ACOWAR, House of Flame and Shadow)
Morgan is back with her new friends in Camelot. She finds a lot to be different and Arthur's rule becoming more intense. She is on a journey to bring him down, and new enemies she finds along the way.
