not gonna lie this one felt a little rushed. a lot of action which was at first exciting but then it felt like things were happening randomly/too quickly with not much story/plot build up until the end. and damn was this sad
still a satisfying conclusion

What an epic conclusion to this series! I was rocked by all the twists and turns in the story. I can't wait for more from Briar Boleyn in the future. Until next time Happy Reading!

I want to thank Starwater Press for this ARC via Netgalley.

I really enjoyed this series but the ending was extremely abrupt. I was on pins and needs from about 70-90% and then it just all ended. For as long as I invested in this series, that was a pretty lame ending.

This is the final book in the series and honestly, I did not want the story to end. I couldn't imagine a world without Morgan, Draven, the Exmoors and everyone else in their circle. "There is darkness in all of our souls. But there is also light. Just because the darkness threatens doesn't mean the light won't win out in the end." The author makes realistic, though heart-breaking, decisions when it comes to character deaths which play important roles in the plot advancement as well as development of the central characters. Their grief, trauma, heart-break, love for one another all drive their actions as well as the need to save the people of Camelot and it's neighboring places. This book sets the stage for Morgan's final quest to destroy the grail, the sword and the spear through which she discovers truths not only about herself, but her family and her origins. As she moves to confront this truth, it's a race against time to save the people she loves. The finale though slightly predictable, is very well executed and provides the much needed closure to this beautiful series! We all need the kind of love Morgan and Draven have. This can be felt from this one quote: "Be everything you truly are. That's all I'll ever ask of you, my silver one." With this concludes my journey through Blood of a Fae, a series that I highly recommend for fans of retellings of legends with magic, romance and adventure all wrapped up in one!

Well that definitely rocked my world a bit. The freaking plot twist at the end there really got me good. I did NOT see that coming. The world building in this book was insanely good! I love the fantasy twist on a classic tale.

I got so attached to some of the side characters that I’m a little mad about how that all played out, but I get it. All is fair in war or whatever.

The cub! Iykyk. 😭💔

The amount of storytelling that went into this series is just amazing. Every chapter everything just got better and more intense. The author wasn’t afraid to sacrifice characters for the good of the overall story. The twists and turns and turmoil that was the creation come to life was awesome. With how much changed throughout the book I would have expected it not to flow but the story was a nail bitter and transitioned smoothly. I am sad the story is over. The characters I came to love were all buttoned up in the end and we got to have answers. I love this authors writing style and how the story building and plot are written. I will definitely be buying from this author again!

Thank you to Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the eARC copy of Knight of the Goddess by Briar Boleyn.

I have been an ARC reader since the first book (Queen of Roses), and became a fast fan of the Blood of a Fae series. I feel really grateful to have been a part of this journey!

The final book brings Morgan and Draven's Arthurian retelling story to a close, completing their quest and solidifying their relationship. If you are seeing this review before seeing Queen of Roses, please consider finding Queen of Roses by Briar Boleyn and giving the series a go.

The final book was a great conclusion to an epic series that as always took us in twists and turns, emotional joy and turmoil, and a wonderful found family.

Definitely not for me. At least the main character grew up a bit and became less annoying! I appreciate the ability to read the full series but now I've learned that dark romantasy is not my genre.

What an ending! I absolutely loved the final book in this series. The tension, the ultimate quest, the evolution of the characters and their relationships, and the twists—both unexpected and shocking—leave you stunned.

In this book, Morgan, her mate, and their companions embark on a quest to find precious artifacts to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands and potentially causing the end of the world. Along the way, surprising revelations about their pasts come to light.

It's always a bit sad to finish a series. I've watched the characters grow and evolve, and there's always a touch of melancholy when it all comes to an end. Nonetheless, I'm eagerly looking forward to reading more works by this author.

Thanks NetGalley, Starwater Press, and Briar Boleyn for a chance to read this book for free. I'm leaving this review of my own accord.

The Knight of the Goddess is the 4th and final instalment of Briar Boleyn’s Blood of Fae series. A loose Arthurian retelling of Excalibur, Lancelot and Merlin among other familiar characters.

The Knight of the Goddess brings an end to Morgan and Draven’s story and their quest to destroy the artifacts and Morgan’s father who wishes to use the artifacts (grail, sword and spear) to dominate all of the kingdoms.

This book is told in multiple POV with Morgan’s voice being the one we hear the most. Morgan and Draven’s eternal love is tested and strengthened while their friendships and found family stay true and loyal.

I won’t spoil the ending or most of the plot of this story but will say this is my favourite instalment and the author really came into the story toward the last two book. This is a 4 star read for me.

I've been a Briar Boleyn fan since snagging the first three thanks to Netgalley.

This series has been such a fun retelling, with a interesting cast of characters. All good things must come to an end, and I have to add this series to my list of book hangovers. If you like spice, fantasy and some classic Arthurian vibes this series is a must!

Exciting series. Thank you to NetGalley for all four books so much better when you can read a series all at once and not have to wait! Draven and Morgan’s relationship took time and I enjoyed the slow build up which added to the overall plot and the steamy scenes we’ve been waiting for.

I absolutely loved this series! This first book had me hooked from the start, the characters are so lovable which just builds more & more through each book. I’ve loved reading them one after the other and spending each day with them. Definitely recommend to all romantasy fans!

Overall book: 4.5/5 ⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

First, I want to thank NetGalley and Starwater Press for giving me the opportunity to read this book. I gave this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars. While I thoroughly enjoyed this book I think I was just very sad to see it all end.

This book was full of action (both war and spice 😉) It took us on the final leg of the mission that Morgan and Draven were on to find and defeat her father and save the world. Throughout this book I felt ALL of the emotions, I was so happy and fulfilled with the love that Morgan and Draven share but also heartbroken by some of the characters that we lost within this book. It was a rollercoaster of emotions in the best way.

Briar Boleyn’s world building is *chefs kiss* The way she pulled it all together in this last book was truly a masterpiece. I would recommend this series to anyone into the romantasy genre.

Things you can expect from the Blood of a Fae series:
• enemies to lovers
• troubled, abused FMC
• “touch her and die” MMC
• found family
• epic battles ⚔️

This may have been the quickest read for me the anticipation got me sooo bad. The amount of love in this book makes your heart feel so warm before it completely destroying you, especially since now it is over. Honestly, I would have read 70 more books in this series if Briar Boleyn had wanted to write them! It was overall just a very pleasant, interesting, and fun series to read! I am glad that I read it!

I was given an ARC copy of Knight of the Goddess to read in exchange for an honest review. Many thanks to NetGalley and Briar Bolyen!
Knight of the Goddess is the fourth book in the Blood of the Fae series. It was a very quick read for me! Boleyn does it again with her exceptional writing. This book did not disapoint in any way. Boleyn did a fantastic job of tying all of the story together. I was worried at first that the ending was going to be predictable, however I was pleasantly surprised!
I know that in stories such as these where battles and wars comences that there will be death, possibly many deaths. I wasn't mentally prepared for a certain death of a personally beloved character of mine. I won't give it away who it was, but know future readers, it will be devastating.
I wish this story had been longer and the reader given more time to get to know Medra and to become invested in her. As for other main characters, I felt frustration particularly with Morgan and her character development in the third book, Empress of the Fae. My feelings towards Morgan did not change with the fourth book. I feel Morgan didn't live up to the potiential that she could have been.
Ultimately, I'm hoping Boleyn will continue writing about this fantasy world she has created in future books and that this world will not end with the Blood of the Fae series. I'm looking forward to reading more from Briar Boleyn.

“Love made us strive to be better than we were. Love lifted us. Love carried us. Love made our flaws forgettable. Love was our saving grace. Love was the greatest adventure.”

Love is the theme in book 4 of the Blood of Fae series. Family is not always blood & more often than not comes in the form pure love, adoration, respect and protectiveness for another. Knight of the Goddess is filled with not only love but growth, self discovery, found family, loss, devastation, heartbreak…plot twists…but conclusion…answers.

I’ve been obsessed with fae book, so this was a fun read to continue the Morgan fae world. But there’s nothing harder than being at the end of the book series.

Damn I loved this series!! I'm so disappointed it's over.
I think this book brilliantly concluded this amazing journey the entire series has taken us on. This was such an original, wonderfully-written series. I've read over 70 fantasy/romantasy books this year and this series was by far the most original of them all!
I truly wish there was more so I could continue on with Morgan and Kairos' journey as they rule over both kingdoms and live their lives together. I would love to find out the answers to the questions Morgan has about where the fae came from originally.
I really hope one day Briar decides to revisit this story and expand on it so I can find out what happens next in one of my favorite stories of all time.
