This was a great wrap up to an entertaining dark romantasy series. Morgan, Dragen, and all of their found family make a wonderful group of loveable characters. The action in this book was well written, and death scenes felt much more impactful than those in previous books in the series. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone looking for a new romantasy series!

Thank you to Starwater Press and NetGalley for providing me with a free ARC of this book in exchange for my review.

This was exactly the right way to end a series.

For me this was a fairly slow start only because I was really excited to jump back into the story and we started off with a journey. Totally necessary piece of the story and it was entertaining but that is the only thing that held me back from 5 stars.

The conclusion however. This was the most satisfying, well thought-out conclusion to a fantasy series I've seen in a while. It was a whirlwind of emotion and action. I loved how everything came together in the end.

I loved this series as a whole and cannot wait to read Briar's upcoming release(s).

Thank you to Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for this amazing opportunity. I received this eARC as a street team member and ARC reader but am leaving my review freely and honestly.

I have so many things I want to say about this book. But honestly, it's so difficult without giving everything away.

Knight of the goddess is the last and final installment of the Blood of a fae books. It smoothly transitions from the third book, Empress of Fae.

Morgan has definitely grown through all of them. At first, you would find a naive young lady who later matures and takes her place as a leader. A Savior even. Draven. What can I say about this guy? I think his most outstanding trait was of his loyalty to Morgan. There are so many moments in this book that make you want to scream or throw it to the floor because of certain events. But. You. Push. Through.

With regards to the story, I felt the beginning of this book plateaued a bit after the third book and really took off around just after the halfway mark. With that said, it was twist after turn at that point. Anything could happen. And it did. Many times.

Overall, my rating is 4 stars ๐ŸŒŸ

I really enjoyed these books. ๐Ÿ“š
There were a lot of familiar elements from other famous romantasy novels. However, depending on how you look at it, it isn't necessarily a bad thing. Thank you to Netgalley, Briar Boleyn, and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read all four books in this series in exchange for an honest review. I would definitely recommend it!

All opinions expressed are my own.

This book is devastating, I cried more than once. I loved this series so much and this was the most beautiful ending even if it's bittersweet. This is one of my top favorite series and I can't wait to see what else Briar has in store!

Thank you so much @netgalley, Starwater Press and Briar for the digital review copy โฃ๏ธ

Let me start off by saying that I really enjoyed the first three books of this series. I have no idea what happened here. I never got into this book. I found myself very confused at times. The author made hints at things without actually saying it like I should know and honestly, I didn't. Maybe it's because I didn't remember everything from the first three books. I think having a recap sentence when referencing things would have been helpful. The battle scenes were also confusing. I found Morgan to have regressed in her character development. She was doing things like hiding the truth like she did in previous books. I thought we had moved past that stage. Once I got to the part of losing Gawain, Odessa, and Rychel in the span of three chapters I was done. We didn't even get a satisfying closure with Rychel which was a disappointment. Also, taking two people from Crescent and also his daughter being hurt. It was just too much. I really had high hopes for this one but, unfortunately, it wasn't for me.

Thank you to the author for this copy in exchange for my honest review.

the final and fourth installment of the blood of a fae series is finally here!! and let me just say, wow it was such a wild and wonderful ride experiencing this story and getting to fall in love with the characters.

morgan and draven defied all the odds stacked against them time and time again, and they survived all of the painful moments they experienced. i absolutely loved getting to see them finally have their happy ending together<3

I love fated mates. So this series so far has been an absolute pleasure for me. I went into the first book completely blind and am so glad I did. I had no idea I needed a King Arthur Fae book in my life. I was completely sucked in from the very first chapter and couldnโ€™t get enough. Each book so far has been fantastic. The world building was clear and concise, not overblown and all the characters are well thought out and written. Every book so far has had nothing but action and adventure and itโ€™s been amazing.

Book 3 was no exception. We pick up with Morgan having left Draven and she ends up back in Pendrath after jumping through one of the fae. arches. Lancelet is alive. Merlin is not longer high priestess. Thereโ€™s a rebellion. Arthur is married and his queen is with child. The rebels want Morgan to go into the castle as a spay. Itโ€™s utter chaos and itโ€™s glorious. Not having Draven IP for most of the book was a bummer but we did get some saucy dream scenes that will wet your whistle.

A LOT happens at the end- which I will not talk about because, spoilers.

Diving into book 4 asap.

Wow. That's the gist of this review--just wow. This was an incredible end to this series, and I can't think of a way it could have ended better.

I laughed. I cried. I cried some more. I wished Draven was my husband. And then cried again.

Morgan's growth throughout this series was incredible--even more so because she didn't lose who she was. Love and friendship conquer all, and were her strength from the beginning through to the end. It's so rare to see a female character not become "hard" or totally change who she is because of the situations she found herself in--and Morgan changed, but she stayed true to herself. Just stronger.

You will be heartbroken reading this. This is definitely not one of those fantasy books where plot armor exists. But every loss had a purpose and was so well written.

OBVIOUSLY I loved this book. I loved this series. I will probably read everything Briar writes until the end of time.

If you love King Arthur retellings. If you love the Fae. If you love love, and friendship, and magical creatures--please pick up this series and read it through to the end. Each book is better than the one before it, and it's been a LONG time since I've seen a series end so perfectly.

Briar Boleyn truly has magic herself when creating these stories. What a gripping and truly enthralling conclusion to the Blood of a Fae series. I discovered this series through NetGalley when Briar posted the series up in anticipation for the release of this book and I was so thankful to have gotten the ARC for the release of Knight of the Goddess.

The story is the perfect balance of a dark fantasy with topics that do warrant trigger warnings, so be sure to check them ahead of time if you have any. The bond between Morgan and Draven is one I will be dreaming of for ages, the obstacles they faced together and apart in the first three books feels so rewarding seeing the two of them finally be together and accepting of one another. That throne scene had me blushing the entire time!

Knight of the Goddess gives a gripping tale of what Morgan and her loved ones must do to finally defeat their great enemy. The story is written with gripping prose to engage the reader and keep you wanting more but with easy to read story telling so it's not confusing for those who may just be entering the fantasy genre. It's a wonderful conclusion and I cannot believe the story has come to a close, I will be sure to keep a close eye out for anything Briar releases in the future.

Thank you NetGalley and Briar Boleyn for this ARC!

This book was a bit darker than the previous books. The author really took these characters THROUGH IT. Though, the heaviness was balanced with playful banter and comedic relief. I think Morgan had a lot of character growth over the course of the series and I was happy with the way her character turned out in this book for the most part, though her personality did slightly annoy me at times. Draven remains a top tier MMC and had some swoon-worthy lines. This book was full of twists and reveals! Overall, this was a satisfying conclusion to the series!

Thank you to Briar Boleyn, Netgalley, and Victory Editing for proving me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Book 4 of the Blood of a Fae series yanked my heart straight out of my chest, squeezed it like Play-Doh, threw it down to stomp it, and then put back in my chest to beat again. The story flowed with emotional ebb and flow. Can't say too much more without spoiling everything!

What a dramatic conclusion to an amazing series! I loved every minute of it. I knew there was more to Morgan but that was unexpected. Lots of action, sorrow and sadness, but pretty much a HEA for Morgan & Draven. Seemed to be a couple loose ends, but with the teaser for the new series maybe it will answer those questions. I look forward to more from the brilliant mind of this author.

Knight of the Goddess was such a great ending to this series of books! I love a good fantasy quest with a fellowship of found family, and although some characters were lost along the way I loved seeing this trope utilised. Morgan learning more about her identity, which had been building up since book one, really brought this story together and the introduction of Medraโ€™s POV also really engaged me in the story. Overall, this was a great way to tie the story up and Iโ€™m so glad that Morgan and Draven got a happy ending, especially after the losses they experienced.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the arc of this book. This book was amazing. I could not wait to dive in after read the first three books in this series. This book did not disappoint. I did not want to put it down once I started it. I am sad this series is over but cannot wait to read the next book by this author. There were definitely so sad moments in this book but overall I was very happy with the ending. I would highly recommend this series to any fantasy reader.

And here we are welcoming back our girl, and our morally grey fae bae, for the final installment.
I was so torn about jumping into this book, because I NEEDED to know what happened, but also didnโ€™t want the journey to be over!
So we revisit most of the team, we see relationships evolving and healing. We learn more and more about our characters, and some I had started to suspect, while the rest was a total surprise.
Everything made sense at the end, and it was an awesome read.
I canโ€™t say much more without loading this full of spoilers honestly, because once I start I wont stop.
BUT I will say that our โ€˜lovelyโ€™ authorโ€ฆโ€ฆ.. *aggressive side eye*โ€ฆโ€ฆ has a tendency to tear your beating heart from your chest and stomp on it cheerfully with toddler level energy.
YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID BRIAR.
Series is amazing, but it wasnโ€™t my fave of the series so Iโ€™m going in with a 4 (would do 4.5 if I could).

Thank you for the opportunity to leave an honest review in exchange for an ARC copy of Knight of the Goddess. I devoured the first 3 books and was able to Arc review book 3 & now 4 of this series! I personally was begging Briar for book 4 after I finished book 3 probably to the point of annoyance ๐Ÿ˜…. She has a way with captivating you from the beginning all the way to the end. There are twists and turns throughout. There is character building of the MMC and FMC separately but also they are even better together! I was skeptical picking up this series because of the time period it takes place in, but she has sold me on King Arthur retellings. Thank you so much! I canโ€™t wait to see what you do next!

So the final battle is upon us with the last book in the series Blood of a Fae. Our FMC Morgan, her mate Draven and the rest of the gang set out to destroy all three relics; chalice, spear and sword, in order to keep Gorlois from rising again.

We see the unusual group of friends (consisting of fae, humans, bearkin etc) take on this journey and lots of characters sadly meet their demise. We see baby Medra growing up ridiculously fast and get to see more of her in a new pov storyline. We see Kaye being sorta Bran 2.0 (three eyed raven abilities) who forseen what needed to be done during his comatose state.

Dravens golden retriever energy is still there, he's just completely in awe with Morgan and follows wherever she leads. For him being the warrior that he is, I would've loved to see him lead a little more (would make more sense to me, experience wise). A nice touch I thought was the chalice, that looked different for everyone else and the objects not necessarily being what you thought they were. I liked the secret gate that opened with her blood and the palace within, aswell as her finding out how all the pieces fit together towards the end. The intrigue with her and Guinevere helping Morgan with her dreams, was a feature I also liked. Not just a priestess, but fighting their demons in a different way. And lastly, the unique group of friends by itself.

There is plenty of action (also spice wise) but I thought many of the scenes ended a bit abruptly to really connect with it or unable to really envision the setting of it. The throne scene being the more remarkable one when it comes to spicy scenes, but some were a bit odd in terms of timing in their journey. And it happens with conversations too, they either end abruptly or change the topic.

I feel like the formatting is not helpful either (sentence, enter, sentence, enter) for it takes the speed of reading away and it looks a bit chaotic to me. But I know the author likes it this way.. However, for me it was a bit of an annoyance and probably didnt help in my connecting to the story.

I'd like to once again thank Briar for being such a sweet and grateful author and for all the work she's put into this book and the never ending love towards her arc team!

The review will be posted on my Goodreads next week ๐Ÿงก

BOOK 4?! How did I get here? Once again, I urge anyone starting their fantasy journey to read this series. It's easy to read, and you fall in love with Morgan and Draven from the beginning. The best part? No breakup; they just fight through ups and downs, and the way this book ties everything together AND ITS END...

THIS BOOK. Let's talk about only this book. It made me emotional since page 1 because the end of the 3rd book leaves you shooketh. Morgan has become such an amazing badass character that reading about her made me root for her even more with each chapter in her POV. Meanwhile, we have Draven, who would die for Morgan, and let's just say that it shows.

The character development, the story, the endingโ€”all of it ties perfectly into a series conclusion, and I am so happy to know that I was here since the first book.

Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for giving me this opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
