Briar Boleyn's Knight of The Goddess is the fourth and final installment in the author's Blood of a Fae series. Key Characters: Morgan le Fay, Kairos Draven Venater, Medra, daughter of Morgan's fallen sister Orcades and former King Arthur, Guinevere (New High Priestess), Lancelot, and Gorlois le Fay, Morgan's father. In the wake of the war that once ravaged Pendrath and its neighboring realms, a fragile peace settles over Camelot.
Yet, tranquility proves fleeting for Morgan Le Fay and her companions as a sinister force, dormant for centuries, stirs anew, threatening to engulf the land in darkness. Draven is also fighting his own demons, not knowing if his sister Rychel is alive or not. As the tempest gathers strength, Morgan and Draven must hasten to aid their allies, entrusting their youngest and most vulnerable family member to the care of steadfast friends.
A family member who could be the prophesied destroyer of a powerful God. A family member who will grow so quickly, that it will take the deaths of some major players to make her understand that she was actually loved, and not abandoned to fight a powerful God. Amidst the chaos, the ancient artifacts of power-the grail, the sword, and the spear-loom ominously, their mysteries shrouded in legend.
To stem the tide of war and confront the encroaching peril, Morgan, Draven, Hawl, Lancelot, & Guinevere embark on a perilous quest to vanquish these relics of untold potency. Along the way, they unearth long-buried truths, delving into the depths of history to confront horrors they never dared imagine! Morgan will also encounter brothers and sisters who she either never met before, or her mother wiped all memories of the family that she was taken from before she could be used in her father's ultimate plans to conquer the world.
*Thoughts* So, this is a pretty entertaining story and a good way to wrap up the series. I do, however, still have questions as to how Medra was able to grow so quickly from a baby who was left behind by Morgan and Draven who fell in love with her, but to end up as a young teenaged girl with remarkable powers to challenge a God. Was it because of who her mother was, and possibly the same reason why Gorlois wanted Morgan so badly? There are quite a few characters who make the ultimate sacrifice in this story. In that way, it makes the story a bit more realistic than to have everyone survive against tremendous challenges.

Well here we are, the end of an amazing series. Was this my favourite book of the series? No, partly because it means the story is over, and partly because I wanted more action! However that is just personal preference. Briar is an amazing writer and I always love her world building, I have been so invested in Morgans story that it feels like a part of me is now gone. That is how you can tell the difference between a good book and an amazing book. Very well I guess this is goodbye, here is what the last book will get you,
🥀Fae
🥀Bonded mates
🥀Battlecats
🥀Arthurian legend
🥀Sacrifices
This book is now available on amazon!
Thank you Briar and NetGalley for this e-book. I am leaving this review voluntarily💕

A great book to conclude the series, loved all the little plot twists and turns. My only issue was were a couple plot holes where information jumped or was left out. But the ending of the story brought it all to light. I really enjoyed Draven and Morgan’s relationship on this and how they blossomed. There were definitely some tears for sure and a point where I wanted to chuck my kindle across the room but subsided to screaming constant profanities. Thank you for the opportunity to read through net galley.

Wow wow wow
Briar, you’ve outdone yourself again. This was such a beautiful last installment of Blood of the Fae Series! Thank you Briar, NetGalley and Briar’s team for this eARC!
“Be everything you truly are. That’s all I’ll ever ask of you, my silver one”-Draven
SIR! No truer words ever spoken and to sum up this book. 🤫
Synopsis: Knight of the Goddess follows the aftermath of Rose Court’s costs of war. What seems like peace is short lived for Morgan and those around her. A storm is coming and that storm’s name is Gorlois Le Fey. To save everyone and keep the peace, Morgan must figure out to destroy the dread three: the grail, the sword and the spear. Morgan and her friends set out to go straight to her father. Along the way, they are met with many trials and battles. This is a story of what love is, loss is and what is the price to pay for power or peace. All that is hidden will come to the light. “Without love, life was a starved and empty thing, for there was no hope, no joy without it…But with love, there was strength…Love was the greatest adventure.” - Morgan
Additional Quotes:
“Every twisted part of me is yours. And every twisted part of you is mine. The good and the bad. All of it. Forever. You’re fucking mine, Draven Venator. Don’t you ever forget it.” Morgan
“Oh Morgan, why do you do these things?…Act as if you’re alone in this when you’re not. I’m here my silver one. I’m always here” Draven
Likes: found family, Morgan’s and Draven’s relationship, how everything ties together, the repeating themes in quotes, the friendships. I’m hoping we see more of these characters in her new series.

Briar Boleyn has only gone and done it again.... how does every book in this series seem to be so great but then the next seems to surpass it?!?!?!
This series has wrecked me... I can't even put into words... and the last 40% of this book, please don't talk to me, so much has happened I don't even know where to begin.
The Knight Of The Godess is the 4th and final installment of the Blood Of A Fae series. This book has made me laugh, it has made me cry. The amount of twists in this series, most of the time you never see them coming and when they do they don't pull any punches. The characters go through so much its hard to find a good place to put the books down you just want to devour them all in one.
We start this book with Morgan and Draven in a somewhat peace as there family has grown and things for the moment have settled down. With this being the final book the characters go on one final quest to rid the world of the Chalice,Spear and Sword and we finally learn the truth of Morgans family and past.
The amount the Characters go through in this book is heartbreaking as they have all grown so much throughout the series you just want them all to end up Happy but that's not the case. 😭💔 The urge to drop a massive spoiler to explain is unreal but I won't, all I'm going to say is WHHYYY what did that character do to deserve all that 😭😭 it's always the loveable side characters.
The world building is so well done in this series there's just the right amount without unnecessary repetition or long winded explanations which usually happens in stories that get told over multiple books with more than one POV.
I absolutely loved this series and wasn't ready for it to end and say goodbye to this world and its characters, they have my heart. It will definitely be a series I will come back to and reread multiple times ❤️
I want to say a huge thankyou to NetGalley for introducing me to this series and letting me share my honest opinions in exchange for free e-arc copies of this book/series. I'm beyond grateful for Netgalley for this opportunity because without them I don't think I would have know this beautiful series existed and that would have been a great shame, these books and Briar deserve all the Love ❤️

Soo refreshing when an author isn’t scared to kill off their own characters and still keep the same premise of the story. I really enjoyed this series and the ending was perfect, kinda sad that it had to end though. Thank you Briar Boleyn, NetGalley and publishers.

What an incredible ending to this series! Everything wrapped up nicely and I love a nice happy ending.
It was honestly refreshing to read a book where the author was not afraid of killing off a lot of characters... It was upsetting but it made the stakes even higher.
The twist with Rychel was devastating, and I found the sections with Medra very interesting. And can we talk about the final reveals of both Morgan and Draven's identities? So good.
Thank you to Briar Boleyn and Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.
PS I am really looking forward to Briar's new series... I LOVED that preview.

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the fourth and final book in the Blood of a Fae series, and it was the perfect ending to a great series!
If you want a spicy romantasy with dark overtones, a strong and sassy heroine, a possessive and protective hero, fated mates, and excellent found family, I highly recommend this one! It’s got plot twists, jaw-dropping reveals, and heartbreaking moments.
Draven and Morgan are excellent main characters in their own right, but they are even better together. I love their relationship and how obsessed with each other they are! Their dynamic and chemistry is perfect.
The cast of supporting characters are also well-rounded and interesting. I especially enjoyed the addition of Medra!
Overall, I highly recommend this series. this It’s full of action, adventure, romance, and danger. I loved all of the books and will miss these characters now that it’s over!
Thank you to Briar Boleyn for the copy. I received it for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Knight of the Goddess by Briar Boleyn
4 stars
Wordsmith Briar has done it again. I honestly didn’t think she could match the previous three books, but she took up the challenge and delivered with style.
This book had all the tension and atmosphere of Game of Thrones but with a HEA thrown in.
Why only 4 stars? Well, because it felt a little bit rushed, so much so that I’m not sure I completely understand what Perun and Vela were doing, what happened to Rychel, what happened to the girl – how she rescued the girl. Why Orcades was banished to the lake, why Nedola was deemed unworthy. Why Nightclaw?
So many of the characters I’d grown to love didn’t make it to the end of the book. Then again, neither did those that I despised.
Thank you NetGalley, the publisher and author for sending this digital book for review consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.

An immersive and magical Arthurian retelling - 3.5 stars! As this was the final instalment of the Blood of a Fae series I knew there was going to be some tragedy and emotional damage. The book centres around an epic quest that our beloved Morgan and Draven embark on. This was full of action and adventure. Throughout the book there are various reveals and this kept the pace steady.
As always what I loved most was the animal companions, of which there are plenty!
If you are looking for a fantasy romance with a strong FMC, found family, bonded mates and mythological creatures then this is the series for you.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC. This is a voluntary review of my own thoughts.

Book #4 and the final book in this amazing series. So ic that you won't want to miss it. I am so happy I gave Briar's books book a chance and I am never turning back.

I've had my heart ripped out and stomped on.. Repeatedly 😭
I'm so sad that this series has come to an end, I really enjoyed all of the books and the characters! It was well written and fantastic!
Really looking forwards to the next book that Briar Boleyn will be bringing out and I have SO MANY HOPES ON WHO THE MC MAY BE!

Wow! What a conclusion to this series.
This final book has many twists and turns that I was definitely not expecting. Secrets revealed, new questions formed, and no one is safe!
Things pick up right after book 3 as Morgan grapples with what to do next. Some plot points shook me. One word: Medra. 👀 It was great to see how everything wrapped up and was resolved. I'll miss this series!
I love Morgan and Draven together. Draven is the perfect ride or die MMC. Morgan is unabashedly thirsty for her husband. They are both sweet and hot. 🔥 Hawl is the comedic relief mvp!
Thanks to Briar and the publisher for an eARC of this book for an honest review.

Knight of the Goddess.
Book #4 in the Blood of a Fae series by Briar Boleyn.
“I will love you for a hundred thousand years. And then a hundred thousand more after that.”
This is a breathtaking and bittersweet conclusion to the whole Blood of a Fae series. And to Draven and Morgan’s storyline.
This is one of my absolute favourite series. Without a doubt.
The final instalment just blew me away with the elaborate and delicately woven magical tapestry of writing by the brilliantly talented author, Briar Boleyn that delicately unravels with the turn of every page.
We are truly spoiled with this masterpiece, it has it all… magnificent magical beings, magic, fae, steamy romance, betrayal and eternal love. And right from the very beginning you know this is going to be phenomenal.
Briar has created something utterly unique and spectacular with this incredible storyline and these wonderful and profoundly deep, engaging characters. The world building is to die for, elegantly detailed and meticulously crafted you are transported to this incredible world, easily whisked away to this magical landscape.
We begin as we left off from book #3 seamlessly, and quickly commence with the plot as it thickens the deeper you delve.
It is a fast paced plot line and as we are taken through many unexpected twists and turns with our badass protagonists you can not help but become wrapped up in the momentum.
Draven and Morgan are complex and strong willed characters and their bond is a beautiful, heartwarming thing. I love their dynamic throughout the series and in this instalment they trust each other completely. They are well crafted and have been moulded into such amazingly deeply feeling characters - they burrow straight into your heart.
I am slightly obsessed with Draven. He is such a huge, powerful and passionate character but ultimately a complete softie.
Morgan really comes into her own in this 4th and final instalment. She has fully embraced her destiny and is a total badass.
The Ending to this story!! Well, hell… I wasn’t expecting that!
Briar kept that under wraps so well. I was truly stunned. I may have shouted, screamed and cried just a little. A revelation of spectacular proportions! I am in awe.
Pure brilliance…
Thank you Briar Boleyn and NetGalley for the advanced copy for an honest review.

Morgan and Draven set out on a quest to destroy the three objects of power - the grail, the sword and the spear. In doing so, what are they willing to lose - themselves, their friends, the family left back at home?
I loved this final installment. It is packed full of adventure and romance. The story is told from several point of views including a new character. I highly suggest this entire series!
Thank you to Briar Boleyn, Starwater Press, and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A highly engaging and gripping page turner: the perfect conclusion!
Firstly, thank you so much to NetGalley, Starwater Press and Briar Boleyn for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Wow, I'm so sad that my latest fantasy obsession is already over! I was completely hooked from the first novel and absolutely devoured KoG in two days solid - I think I may have the biggest series hangover!
Knight of the Goddess is the fourth and final installment of the corrupt, exciting and morally grey Arthurian fantasy series, Queen of Roses. Morgan Le Fay, as she is now known, and her husband Draven must leave the short-lived calm in Camelot and embark on a treacherous, war-torn and thrilling journey, to destroy the growing evil that has been brewing for centuries, before destruction reigns and dark power triumphs. Accompanied by a close-knit group of their closest friends, they must destroy three objects of untold power - the sword, the spear and the grail - but also discover answers to history's terrible, forgotten secrets.
The continually developed world building in this book was absoloutely gorgeous; it wasn't completely rammed down readers' throats, leaving them lost and confused, nor was it dragged out through endless paragraphs of dreary lore. I really felt like I was there alongside Morgan and her friends as they travelled, protected those who need it most and fought to survive to the bitter end; this book is a full sensory experience in itself of the most vivid nature. Speaking of lore, wow there was a lot going on here! However, I was really impressed just how seamlessly woven there sheer volume of it was throughout this novel and never became overwhelming, or a slog at any point. I was particularly in love with the slow revealings of the darker truth to the legends and history of the world, although at times I felt there was a slight lack of build up, which meant that it could become a little difficult to understand how Morgan and Draven worked things out.
Another thing I absolutely loved about Boleyn's writing is just how real the characters felt. Our main character, Morgan, was a brilliant protagonist and the prime example of a strong woman. I loved how, right from the start, she was determined to be the opposite of both Uther and Arthur by fighting for peace and justice for her people, particularly those who do not have the means or power to help themselves. I was captiavted by her discovery of her developing powers and her determination to use them for the greater good. There were some fantastic, spicy scenes between her and Draven, who I am absoultely in love with - this man has to be the sexiest definition of golden retriever energy! He was willing to support Morgan, and her desicions, no matter what, and to fight by her side to the very end, yet wasn't afraid to be the voice of reason and take charge when necessary. I'm really going to miss these two and would love to read a novella describing what 'happy ever after' would look like for the people of Camelot and beyond.
The development of the supporting characters in this book was so fascinating, particularly of Medra; I did not see that one coming at all! I'm so happy that Lancelet and Guinevere finally got their happy ending too, Morgan could not have had two braver female companions by her side and I'm so glad that her and Lanclet are best friends again, although I would have loved to see Guinevere's personality developed a bit more. The reunion with Rychel was so bittersweet and although I am happy she was able to achieve her goal in reviving one of the undead children, I wish we'd seen more to this side arc following her kidnap. I think the saddest death of all in this novel has to be the very fitting self-sacrifice of Nightclaw; I absolutely bawled reading this part as it was just so well written and real.
The last few chapters of this novel were some fo the most exciting page turners I've ever read and it's going to take me a while to get over all that action! The battle descriptions have been some of my favourtites throughout this whole series, and Bolyen has completely outdone herself in KoG! I loved the integration of the discovery of a dark, corrupted history, with some epic fantasy warfare - let's just say the truth is much more complex than the legends.
Overall, thank you Briar Boleyn for this epic conclusion to the thriling Blood of a Fae series, I cannot wait for your next one!
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The fourth and final book in the Blood of a Fae series was unfortunately a bit of a let down for me. That isn't to say you shouldn't read it, because I think you should! Especially if you liked the first books or you are a fan of fantasy romance.
I really enjoyed books 1-3 (book 2 will always be my favorite) but I found myself confused for too much of this book. As Morgan and Draven wrap up their story we also get the POV of her niece, Medra, who is having her Renesme moment and growing crazy fast. There is a giant battle that felt like a big climax of the book but ended up not meaning much and then the actual battle/climax wasn't as exciting to me. Also- lots of people die and the twists about the identities of many characters come in rapid succession.
I think what the book suffered from was having too many things to wrap up (Rychel leaving, Kaye being asleep, who Morgan is, who her Dad is, everything about Medra etc.). While I enjoyed seeing some of my favorite characters like Hawl and getting to see Draven and Morgan together mostly happy, there was so much going on and I was struggled to follow. Perhaps it all would have made more since if I had just read the first 3 books right before or if I was an avid note taker. Again, 3 stars isn't me saying it is a terrible book that you shouldn't read, just that I didn't enjoy it as much as the others in the series or other recent books and I just wish it had been less confusing of a conclusion.
Thank you to Briar for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received a copy of this for my honest review
This is a beautiful conclusion to this series! In the final installment of the Blood of Fae Series our FMC and MMC must leave Camelot to go and fight her father. They have the grail and Excalibur, and search to find the spear in order to destroy them. They must leave behind their niece In order to protect her, but as they are gone she ages more quickly than they expect. Through their hour why they battle more family members in order to end this war, culminating in an epic battle at the end.

I adored this series. I couldn’t it put it down. This entire world and series was so perfectly done. When we got the answers everything clicked into place.
This was such a wonderful story and complex world but didn’t feel overwhelming.
I adored Draven and Morgan and their whole relationship. The friendships that we saw grow throughout were idyllic. I am so sad it’s over.
This was definitely a top read for me and I couldn’t recommend it more.
Now for the spoilers
I did not see that ending coming! I wasn’t prepared and sobbed like a baby, I loved night-claw and every thing their relationship was.

This is a truly epic conclusion to the “Blood of a Fae” series. It’s book four in a Camelot-esque retelling and is dark, angsty, passionate, and full of adventure. I’m a huge fan of this series and its characters, and I’m a little sorry that it’s over. But so pleased at the overall series that I look forward to owning all of them in beautiful covers to display and be able to lend to those who ask why they’re so special.
In this book, we find Morgan Pendragon/LeFay/Venator pretty soon after the battle at the end of book 3. Kaye is still in a comatose state, and Morgan and Draven are together and raising Medra, daughter of Orcades, as Morgan promised. Very quickly, an attack happens in Tintagel that appears to be orchestrated by Morgan’s father, Gorlois, who is creeping into her dreams. The exmoors have been healing and drawing crowds of locals as they are using an old tower in the castle as a cat tree. Hawl and Lancelet and Guinevere are still around as are Galahad and his family and members of both the Court of Umbral Flames that travelled with Draven to the battle last book. When Morgan and Draven head out to take stock of what’s happening with the attack at Tintagel, they don’t really expect to dive in to battle, but they do, and their friends arrive just in time.
A lot of battle and court intrigue and revelations concerning Morgan’s past and half siblings come into play, there’s quite a bit of additional lore, unexpected magical transformation and some devastating loss that occurs. It’s a page turning adventure that never lets up, and there’s some incredible spice too! THE THRONE SCENE IS EVERYTHING. The LGBTQ rep is strong and is woven effortlessly into this book as the world Briar has built is
queer-normative and I love how it’s done.
There are still questions at the end, but I’m okay with that as it leaves the possibility open for more from these characters even if the core story of Morgan and Draven is wrapped up in this book.
I cannot recommend this series highly enough. I think about it all the time. It’s being added to my “comfort series” books for multiple future re-reads.
