This was a really easy read with great ideas for young explorers. It was full of great anecdotes, practical tips and inspiring advice and the author applied her experience of travelling the globe to areas local/accessible to children. It was well laid out, slightly repetitive in places but very enjoyable and a book I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful book for would be adventurers aged 7-10. Lots of facts about adventuring and interesting information about the author. Really easy to read. I will be recommending this to children who dream of growing up to explore the world and to inspire others to just get outdoors a bit more

What an exciting book and what a total Wonder Woman! Preet is a physio in the Armed Forces and an adventurer extraordinaire. She uses this book to show our Book Clubbers, age 7-10, that adventures can be had all over the world, even in your own back garden.
For each type of excursion she highlights, Preet shows how to prepare, gives ‘Explorer Top Tips’, shows the checklists that are required for the expedition, gives us an associated activity to do (eg create your own explorer backpack) and there are even quizzes – and you know how much we love a quiz! She tells us how to navigate using a variety of different methods, the foods and food groups that we need to ensure we have for sustenance during our trip, how to stay safe, first aid for the various environments across the world and how to respect nature.
Suitable for children age 7-10, we loved it!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are our own.

I love the concept of this book. Unfortunately, the e version seems not to have formatted correctly and have odd typos, which made it hard to read. Once these are sorted, I’m sure it will be a great book to encourage children to get outside and go and explore.
