Vex has a remarkable talent for prompting deep self-reflection in a gentle and poignant manner. This quality shines through in the Good Vibes collection, where each book builds upon the others.

Good Vibes, Good Life focuses on self-love, Healing Is The New High guides readers through personal growth during healing, and Things No One Taught About Us Love applies these concepts to relationships. Together, these books offer a comprehensive approach to personal development and connection.

I was looking forward to reading Things No One Taught Us About Love after reading Good Vibes, Good Life from this author. Whilst that book i got through in no time I felt this one didn't seem to grab my attention in the same way. Nevertheless it is still full of valuable information though.

The book focuses on bringing light as to how to love yourself and improve relationships with those around you and the information could easily be applied to a romantic relationship or friends and family. The book was written in a really easy to understand way but I feel it could have been an easier and more interesting read if there were more examples of real life situations whether that be the authors or other peoples. At times I felt like I was reading a checklist of things to do / not to do and it didn't feel as informative or attention grabbing as the first book was.

When the relationships with others started to come up I noticed that for a big portion of the book it gave advice that would only be of use in healthier relationships or with healthier individuals. Some of the advice like validating others feelings and talking things out seem like great ideas but for someone in a toxic relationship (whether that be with a partner or family) it could make things worse and it's not til the very end of the book toxic relationships even get a mention. I think it would have been better to have mentioned this first so some advice could be tailored to each relationship as leaving isn't always an option for people which the book seems to mostly suggest.

This book is informative and at times interesting to read but I definitely think it is only beneficial for learning about healthy relationships and the steps aren't always as easy to put into practice as they might seem. I am glad I got the chance to read it though and I look forward to reading more of this authors work in the future.

I’ve loved all Vex’ previous books so couldn’t wait to read this! It didn’t disappoint.

I found this book truthful, vulnerable and full of substance and thought provoking information. I felt like this went a lot deeper than most books about love and relationships and I really enjoyed reading this! It felt like a new outlook on love and what that means and how that might show up in modern days.
