In this instalment of the Ever After Street series we are in the world of Alice in Wonderland at The Wonderland Teapot. Cleo has finally got her dream of a shop on Ever After Street but can she make it work?

Oh my this story was so magical and I just didn’t want to leave Ever After Street again. Cleo and Bram were wonderful characters to lead this story it wouldn’t be the same without them. To see both of them develop through this book was amazing.

The community on Ever After Street is incredible and I would also want to be part of it if I had the chance (and it was real of course!)

Jaimie just has this way of transporting you completely to a different world with her stunning setting and characters, even the side characters are wonderful. Jaime also mentioned me in her acknowledgements and it just absolutely made my week! She’s lovely and so down to earth.

I cant wait for another instalment of this series as soon as I can read it 💖 ‘A Wonderland Wish’ is full of friendship, love and laughter 🥰

What an adorable story!!! I absolutely loved this from start to finish, it’s a feel good tale that leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling inside!!
Cleo has been through the wringer, and feels ready to start her life again. This starts with getting the cafe in Ever After Street. She goes to her interview leaving some important details out but is offered the cafe on a trial basis. She’s so excited!! But, she doesn’t realise that she has a person she hadn’t factored for in her plans…. Bram. He’s been sent to work with her and she’s not sure how she feels about that.
I loved how they were both shy personalities who pretended to be otherwise. How the story progressed.
Excellent!!!
Many thanks to Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read this arc copy for review consideration via Netgalley. My opinion is my own.

Yay!! We are back on Ever After Street, the fairy-tale-theme shopping street in Wye Valley.
When Lilith, who used to own the tearoom, retired, there’s an empty space that the Herefordshire Council has to decide its destiny. Cleo had a dream since she was a little girl, she wanted to follow her family’s heritage and when this possibility presents itself, she decides to send them her application with her Alice in Wonderland theme tearoom. Complete with black and white chequerboard floors, clocks everywhere and Mad-Hatter style tables, she gets her wish, on a trial basis, just for three months.
Cleo is more than excited but there’s a tiny issue, she doesn’t bake, not since she accidentally set her last apartment’s kitchen on fire. With no home, she is living in a caravan in Marie’s driveway, basically with no kitchen.
This is her second chance to face the world, as she was hidden away since her gran died, and then her mother, and her ex left.
With the help of Bram, the tearoom Mad-Hatter, appointed by the Council, they make a wonderland duo that results in afternoon teas with a touch of magic.
I loved the Ever After Street series each one with a unique story full of fairy tale hope and happiness. ☕️🧁🪄 I always enjoy the ambiance, the character and the stories.

If you haven’t yet fallen in love with the residents of Ever After Street, then this magical Alice in Wonderland-themed story may just do the trick. I loved every moment and in particular, Bram, the Mad Hatter. If you’ve read the synopsis, then you already know that Cleo secures her spot on Ever After Street by passing off cakes from a baker as being her own.

We first met Cleo when we visited A Tale as Old as Time, Ever After Street’s very own Beauty and the Beast book shop. Cleo became a bookish helper and came into her own as she found her place amongst the books and customers alike.

Cleo’s nervousness is tangible as she makes her application for the vacant tea shop. As a result of her questionable life choices, she has no way of baking. Even worse, she’s lost her love of baking and hopes that taking over the tea shop will soon trigger her former joy for baking cakes. I really do love Cleo’s character and that Jamie writes her as being perfectly flawed and doesn’t attempt to fix her.

Bram is another matter and it’s his crazy, sunshine personality that lifts the story to a much higher level. We get several hints that his family relationships are far less than perfect, but they remain as hints rather than clear facts. One thing that becomes clear, is the strong friendship forming between Bram and Cleo.

There really was something very special in the way that Bram and Cleo bonded together and the slow yet thorough metamorphosis that took effect over each of them. Their characters were built up slowly and gently until it felt impossible for them not to have a future together. I found their eventual friendship to be totally relatable and felt like I’d been wrapped in a pillow of warmth.

I’m already excited for my next visit to Ever After Street.

An empty cafe on Ever After Street gives Cleo the opportunity she’s been waiting for – the chance to open an Alice in Wonderland themed tea room, as a tribute to her late gran. Not being able to bake might pose a bit of a problem – she lost her ability with the rough time she’s been having recently – and there’s no kitchen either in her ramshackle caravan or her new premises. But shop bought cakes got her through the interview – to her considerable shame – and the supermarket’s always there, adding a few touches to her purchases to reflect her theme until she gets up and running.

But she’s on borrowed time, and the council won’t extend her lease unless her enterprise is a success – and they also send along a “helper”, the wonderful Bram, fully embracing the role of her Mad Hatter. He’s just what she needs – a sparkling personality, a natural entertainer, a talented magician, and a supportive friend – and he also has a swish kitchen of his own, and is more than happy to spend time helping Cleo rediscover her love for baking. It’s an uphill struggle, but they do grow closer in the process – while discovering that they’re both damaged and vulnerable, and that he has some significant secrets that might just drive a wedge between them. But that’s not their only issue – someone is sabotaging their efforts, and just when Cleo needs to meet her biggest challenge or face losing her teashop for ever.

This is just the loveliest read, with the most wonderful characters – and the supportive community of Ever After Street stepping up and pulling together when it looks as if everything may be lost. I loved Cleo from the very beginning – her ideas for the decoration of the teashop were fantastic, and her bravery in the face of her issues and shortcomings only made me love her more. Bram, you might find, is a little more of an acquired taste – but there’s someone infinitely more loveable behind his relentless punning and rather manic Mad Hatter persona. And the developing romance between them? Well, that’s simply perfect – with more obstacles than many relationships, but theirs is a story that really just has to have a happy ending.

The author’s storytelling is as wonderful as ever – this was a book I happily read in a single sitting, heart in mouth at times, moving between tears and laughter, and a world of real everyday fairytale magic that I really didn’t want to leave behind. Just gorgeous – and I’m already looking forward to the next book in this amazing series.

There's always time for tea... unless you've lost your teapot…

Cleo Jordan has always wanted to own her own teashop, ever since growing up watching her gran make such a success of hers but, since losing her gran and her mum she's also lost her love of baking so, when she somehow manages to convince the interview board she's got what it takes, she's offered the old tea rooms on Ever After Street. After working hard to get The Wonderland Teapot ready for opening day, she's still fretting about her secret coming out, until Bram, her very own Mad Hatter turns up, to work in the shop with her, entertaining the customers with his magic tricks and encourages her to believe in herself, but can Cleo trust him, especially when things start going wrong and the finger of doubt is pointing in his direction?

We are back again in this magical street where fairytales happen and this time the author brings us Cleo and Bram and an Alice in Wonderland themed tale. Cleo, still reeling from her losses is desperate to make a success of the tea rooms and Bram just wants to be accepted for who he is and not for who his father wants him to be and these two bonded together beautifully, I had high hopes that the author would bring them a happy ever after. I loved everything about this latest in the series; the connection between Cleo and Bram and their daily effort to encourage each other to believe they are worth something, the community spirit of the traders on Ever After Street and the wonderful concoctions that were created every day really made my mouth water and left me wishing that this was a real tea room as I so wanted to try them all! Once again I loved my latest visit to this fabulous street and I can't wait to see who Admans takes us to visit next.

I'd like to thank Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the approval, I will post my review on Goodreads and Amazon.

One of my favourite stories has always been Alice in Wonderland, so the idea of a cafe themed like Wonderland sounds just perfect. Ever After Street is the perfect place for a fairytale fan and Cleo fitted right in. Her story is an emotional one and I loved how she found her new home on Ever After Street, and her growing friendship with Bram is beautifully told. I really liked his attitude to life and thought we could all do with a bit of Bram in our lives.
Jaimie Admans writes such beautiful uplifting stories filled with love and a story filled with cake and tea and little bit of magic was just what I needed.

4 Stars
One Liner: The best hugs!

Cleo Jordon has always dreamed of owning a teahouse like her gran. But life didn’t work the she hoped, and she was left with almost nothing. When the teahouse on Ever After Street is available, Cleo presents the Wonderland Theme to apply for it. She hopes everything will get sorted.
What’s Wonderland without Mad Hatter? Bram has only felt comfortable being a magician and putting on a façade to hide his vulnerabilities. Seeing Cleo’s struggles, he is determined to help. But with both of them struggling with the weight of their pasts, can they find a way forward and towards each other?
The story comes in Cleo’s first-person POV.

My Thoughts:
The book works as a standalone, though the characters from previous stories appear a few times. The series is themed around fairytales, and here we have Alice in Wonderland (though it is not a Grimm’s piece).
This is my fourth book by the author, I love how much care she puts into crafting her main characters. They feel so real and flawed with fears, vulnerabilities, and temper tantrums, but also compassion and love.
We learn more about the characters as they get to know each other. The layers peel, little by little, bringing them together and readers closer to them. Though we get the entire story from Cleo, we can see Bram and understand his emotions easily, just as we would have if we got his POV.
Cleo is our grumpy girl, while Bram is the cutesy sunshine. He can be a bit OTT, but I understand where he is coming from. They make an adorable couple! The romance is, of course, a slow burn with some witty banter and heartwarming moments. And oh, her books have the best hugs! Can never have enough of these. Loveee it!
There are a couple of stereotypical characters we would love to hate. One of them does get a slightly better arc.
The community at Ever After Street is vibrant, cheerful, and always ready to help their own. Naturally, they step in and take over whenever necessary. The small-town vibes and the magical setting give this a cozier feel.
I always enjoy descriptions of the setting. Though we don’t get much of the outside details in this one, the tearoom comes alive on the pages. Cleo seems to have done a great job of recreating Wonderland (I haven’t read the original so can’t say much). We do go to the castle again, so yay!
The pacing is slow and steady, something I expect from the author’s books. The constant mention of cakes, cupcakes, cheesecakes, etc., made me droll! Wish I could grab some from the screen (why hasn’t technology advanced as much yet?).
We have the dreaded third-act breakup, which I expected. I could see both their POVs, so I’d say it is quite balanced. On the whole, if you ask who handled things better afterward, I would vote for Bram. Cleo levels up… eventually.

To summarize, A Wonderland Wish on Ever After Street is a sweet tale of a new start, healing, finding one’s tribe, seeing beyond the façade, and falling in love with someone who sees the real you.
Thank you, NetGalley and Boldwood Books, for eARC. This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book.

A Wonderland Wish on Ever After Street is the third book in the interconnected standalone Ever After Street series by Jaime Admans. This is a magical, whimsical series that will delight its reader with it’s buoyancy and sweet simplicity.

This particular story features Cleo Jordan whose dream has been to open an Alice in Wonderland themed Tea Shop in honor of her grandmother who has passed away. Cleo has suffered many heartaches and disappointments in recent years and it has taken a toll. Consequently, she has lost her ability to bake, since baking was intrinsically tied-into her trauma. After finding friends on Ever After Street who encouraged her to pursue her dreams, she applies to open her own tea shop when the space is made available on Ever After Street, a place where she at long last, truly feels at home. It was competitive and tricky to secure the space and when she does she learns that it is only temporary, until she can prove herself. When a truly mad Mad Hatter shows up to work on her first day, an employee she never hired, her life changes in more ways than one.

A Wonderland Wish on Ever After Street is a second chance in life story and a sweet, slow-burn, quirky romance. This is a fairy tale with it’s own twists and turns along the way and a happily ever after that is hard-earned. I have loved all of the books in this series. Admittedly, I preferred the other two a bit more than this one, but that said, this is still a charming, feel-good story like only Jaime Admans can write.

I thoroughly enjoyed this third trip to Ever After Street. Chloe has always wanted to run an Alice in Wonderland tearoom. This is a magical story with a few twists and turns that continue until the very end. These are lovely books that can be read as stand alone. Who doesn’t love fairytales. I highly recommend all three.

A Wonderland Wish on Ever After Street by Jaimie Admans

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to Rachel's Random Resources and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Blurb

There's always time for tea... unless you've lost your teapot…

Cleo Jordan has only ever wished for one thing – to open her own teashop in memory of her lovely gran. So when she accidentally fools the interview board into thinking she's a brilliant baker and is offered a prime spot on Ever After Street, she knows her dream is about to come true!

Stepping into The Wonderland Teapot is like falling down the rabbit hole - magical! But there’s a catch: Cleo has completely lost her love of baking! With her little white lie ticking in her ear, it seems her dream is over before it’s begun.

Until she meets her very own Mad Hatter. Loved by everyone on Ever After Street, magician Bram brings an energy to the teashop that lifts everyone, and slowly, with his encouragement, Cleo is getting back to doing what she loves best.

But with Bram hiding secrets of his own, Cleo isn’t sure she can put all her faith in him. And when things start going wrong at the teashop, Cleo wonders if the culprit sabotaging her dream is someone closer than she thinks?

If Cleo wants her wish to work, she has to learn to trust again before she loses her head and heart completely…although it might already be far too late for that...

My Opinion

So far I am loving this series and I was delighted when I saw that there was going to be a new book This is the third book in the Ever After Street series and whilst it could be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading the books in the correct order to get maximum enjoyment.

I read the majority of this book in one sitting and I wasn't ready to leave The Wonderland Teapot when I finished the book. There is something magical about Jaimie's writing, I simply adore every book I have read. Ever After Street is so welcoming and you feel like you are surrounded by friends on every visit. An adorable read with some great cakes.

In a Nutshell: This series is proving to be such a delight! The plot this time is quite simple but the characters and the writing approach make this a winner. Much recommended to all those who enjoy clean romcoms intertwined with some meaningful themes.

Plot Preview:
Cleo Jordan has always dreamt of owning her own tea room. So when Lilith retires, Cleo puts in an application to lease the teashop on Ever After Street and redo it with an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ motif. To her surprise, her application is granted on a three-month trial basis. There’s only one hitch: Cleo loves baking, but baking doesn’t love her back anymore!
As Cleo figures out how to turn supermarket baked goods into whimsical wonderland offerings so that the trial gets extended into a permanent lease, there comes one more hurdle. Magician Bram, who had been running the carousel earlier, has been appointed by the Council to perform as the Mad Hatter at the new establishment. Can Cleo keep her “supermarket” secret from Bram? And why does it seem like Bram has secrets of his own?
The story comes to us in Cleo’s first-person perspective.

Jaimie Admans is probably the only romcom author whose books I have grabbed blindly. She is also the only romcom author I still read. I have long outgrown typical romcoms, but Admans always writes content that goes beyond staid love stories. More importantly, she incorporates settings into her plots like no one else can. (She would make a great cosy fantasy writer if she wishes to; she’s so fabulous at conjuring up tantalising locations!) This book is no exception.
The Ever After series has romances loosely based on a fairy tale or a classic fantasy. After tackling ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in the first two books of this series, the third Ever After entry draws inspiration from the Lewis Carroll novel, ‘Alice in Wonderland’, for some of its characters as well as its key setting – the Wonderland teashop. It is not a retelling (Thank God!), but just pays a tribute to Wonderland by incorporating some of its elements into the plot line. This worked very much in my favour, because I am not a big fan of ‘Alice in Wonderland’. I love its quotes, but the story is too absurd and meandering for my taste. If this Ever After book had been written by some other author, it might not even have appealed to me. But my love for Jaimie Admans’ books triumphs over my dislike of Lewis Carroll’s works. This latest book maintains my fandom.

Bookish Yays:
😍 Loved Mad Hatter Bram! Admans always works wonders with her MMCs, but Bram is one of her very best. Though he isn’t even a typical romcom lead, being more goofy than gorgeous, I love seeing his vulnerable side, with his lack of confidence in his “weirdness”, and his strategy of hiding his pain through humour. This resonated a lot with me. If I am not wrong, this is Admans’ first MMC who isn’t a coconut – grump outside, softie inside.
😍 Cleo is also an interesting character, though she is somewhat overshadowed by Bram. She is a bit too naïve for someone in her early thirties, but she also knows what she wants and is determined to get it despite her earlier setbacks. I love how she acknowledges her need for external help, instead of typical fictional characters who insist on handling everything alone and then messing it up royally.
😍 The use of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ in the plot and setting is exceptional. While you don’t need to know the original, you will probably appreciate all the Easter eggs better if you are familiar with the classic.
😍 Still fascinated by the location of Ever After Street. The only reason I dislike Jaimie Admans is that she conjures up such wonderful fictional places that reality can never match up – sheesh!
😍 Loads of wit and humour, through banter, comic events, as well as mixed metaphors.
😍 Never thought I’d learn so much trivia from a romcom! Loved all the titbits of info!
😍 There’s so much soul in the story! I appreciate how the minimal plot still affects deeply, thanks to the characters and the intense themes, including grief, toxic parenting, imposter syndrome, and mental health issues.
😍 Romcoms that deliver on emotions without feeling the need to resort to steamy scenes always work better for me. This is a clean romance, with just some kisses. Oh, and it does not have insta-love as well – woohoo!
😍 You might see me appreciate the author's note or the acknowledgement often. But this time, the dedication gets its place in the spotlight, especially this sentence: "The world needs more spectacular nuts." Couldn't agree more, and proud to be one such nut, if I say so myself! 😝

Bookish Mixed Bags:
😐 The core plot is fairly straightforward this time around. The pages go by fast enough, but the content feels a bit too formulaic, even for a romcom. Then again, you read a Jaimie Admans romcom not for a literary experience but for all the feels, which this delivers perfectly.

Bookish Nays:
☹️ Other than the main characters, the rest were in either limited or unidimensional roles. One scene at the castle in the final section wasn’t to my liking as it felt atypical of the characters. There are a couple of minor mysteries in the plot, but they are quite guessable. I also have some doubts about the financial status of the FMC. These criticisms range from minor to mid-intensity points, but they do affect the overall experience.

All in all, I had high expectations from this book, and to a great extent, the expectations were met. I just wish it had surprised me a little more, but it stuck too closely to the romcom format. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it a lot; it is a great choice for readers who want entertainment with depth.

This has been an awesome series, consistent right from the start in its theme, characters, and setting. I can’t wait to read the fourth book of this planned six-book series. (I have a hunch about who might be the next lead character. Have I *cracked* the code or will I be proved a *nut*? *Frankly*, time will tell!)

Much recommended to all romcom and fairy tale fans who like romance stories to have more heart than mere oomph. This book works perfectly well as a standalone, but if you want a romcom extravaganza, binge through the entire series. Each book will make you “curiouser and curiouser” to get to the next.

This wonderful book is third in a series but easily read as a standalone. Cleo has been granted the teashop on EverAfter Street on a trial basis - subject to good sales, great reviews and random inspections by the Council! There's just one problem, not only has Cleo forgotten how to bake, she's 'between kitchens'.. Cleo's theme for the tea shop is Alice in Wonderland and Mad Hatter Bram is sent by the Council to assist her. Cleo's been planning to serve supermarket buns in the teashop but Bram's presence is going to make that really difficult!
I really enjoyed this book and I think Bram is possibly one of my favourite fictional characters ever. PSA - ensure you have plenty of cake nearby while reading this book as you will definitely be wanting cake and glittery tea. Enjoy!

Jaimie blows it out of the park. Every. Single. Time. I adore her books, I love the ‘Ever After Street’ series, and I am constantly impressed by the ideas she comes up with for her books. Of course, A Wonderland Wish on Ever After Street is no exception, and for this book we see Cleo open The Wonderland Teapot, an Alice in Wonderland-themed teashop, complete with Wonderland-inspired cakes, and its very own Mad Hatter, aka Bram.

Jaime’s latest creation is full of romance, friendship, secrets and baking. The characters are fanciful, delightful and full of creativity. I wish Ever After Street was a real live place because if it were, I’d be there in an instant.

If you’ve read the other books in this series, then you’ll be familiar with the other characters, but you don’t need to read them in order. Each can totally be read as a standalone, but read them all. Go on, why wouldn’t you?

Imagine yourself all cosy and warm, wrapped up in a great big bear hug from the person you love most in the world. Well, that’s how Jaimie’s books make me feel. Put simply, a hug in a book.

Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Rachel's Random Resources for the opportunity to read and review A Wonderland Wish on Ever Street by Jaimie Admans.

A Wonderland Wish on Ever After Street is the third book in the Ever After Street series and my first read in this series but not my first read by the author. This is the most fun I've had reading a book in a long time. The book is Alice in Wonderland Themed, now I've never actually read Alice in Wonderland completely through but after reading this I'll need to make that a priority.
Cleo Jordan's gran had a tea shop serving the most delightful baked goods, the customers loved it and gran. After her death Cleo wants to honor her memory and open her own teashop. Now there's just a few things standing in her way, Ever After Street is a very highly sought after street and open shop rentals are very hard to find, Cleo counts her lucky stars when she's offered an interview for an open store front. Running late to the interview she grabs store bought cupcakes to represent her own baking, no one will ever know, right? Problem number two she's lost her love of baking and doesn't seem to have any luck in rejuvenating it. The stars align and she's able to call the shop hers.
The shop is a Alice in Wonderland themed teashop. I loved the descriptions of the shop decorations and Bram who is the Mad Hatter and who has the part down pat from his costume to magical tricks to the voice the customers and children alike love him.
The shop is so whimsical I just loved it, can I visit this tea shop now, please?
Cleo and Bram start to form a friendship and start baking things for the shop together as her love of baking returns. All isn't well as some of the baked goods get sabotaged that are being served to the customers, nothing poisonous but some are too salty or spicy.
With Bram hiding a few secrets of his own could Cleo's fairy tale dreams be going up in smoke just as she's starting to learn to trust again?
Fun, whimsical and magical this is a heartwarming tale we all need on our reading list.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.

Hooray for this new book in the Ever After Street series by Jaimie Admans. It’s an utterly charming and delightful series and this is the third visit; Cleo’s story. We have met Cleo in a previous book within the series but you can read this as a standalone.
Opening up and Alice in Wonderland themed tea room is just what Cleo has dreamed of and getting to do that on Ever After Street is the cherry on the cake. Being surrounded by friends and likeminded, fairytale loving people is just the encouragement she needed to take this opportunity.
She had left the application to the last minute but, remarkably, she was successful at her interview, the only problem – she can’t seem to bake at the moment and the cakes she gave the interviewers were shop bought. Hoping her baking mojo will return with some enthusiastic practise, she sets about getting the café ready for her opening day.
That day soon arrives and so does Bram, otherwise known as the Mad Hatter. He’s her new and unexpected employee, Cleo is far from keen as she is worried he will realise she isn’t doing the baking (yet) but she soon realises that the magic Bran brings can only help her as well as entertain the customers.
Cleo has been through some difficult times, she worries that she will lose something else that means a lot to her. Bram is wonderfully funny, helpful and so supportive of her. He has secrets and Cleo starts to see that underneath his glittery, charming character he is vulnerable and in need of someone to be fully on his side and respect who he is, quirky and all, as he faces opposition and people trying to force him to be someone he isn’t.

A fairytale story of overcoming life’s obstacles, believing in yourself and following dreams. Life isn’t always going to be a walk in the park, there are storms to weather but Cleo and Bram learn that they can get through what life throws their way.

I love the community on Ever After Street, when things get tough they all pull together and support each other. It’s a magical sounding place!
A gorgeous story with romance, highs, lows and happy ever afters; Jaimie Admans gives us just the right amount of fairytale magic. I will definitely look forward to the next visit to Ever After Street.

What a wonderful book this is! Jaimie Admans really knows how to create a wonderful world, and this latest book in the Ever After Street series once again took me to my favourite street, filled with fabulous characters. Cleo and Bram captured me from the very beginning, and the will-they-won’t-they story had me hooked! Cleo has always dreamed of owning her own tea shop, and when a vacancy comes up on Ever After Street, she comes up with the idea of an Alice in Wonderland themed tea shop, and A Wonderland Wish on Ever After Street is born. Every Alice in Wonderland needs a mad hatter right? That’s where Bram comes in. He’s outrageously bonkers, funny, clever and a very talented magician. It doesn’t hurt that he’s also very attractive, and Cleo soon finds herself looking forward to interacting with him every day. They work together really well, enjoy spending time together, but each of them have some deep rooted issues that get in their way. Can Ever After Street work it’s magic for them? Will the tea shop become a success? Will Cleo and Bram work it out?
This is such a lovely story, full of charm, romance and all the ingredients to lift me out of the ordinary and into the amazing world of Ever After Street. Don’t believe in magic? You will after reading this! Highly recommended.

This is the third ok in the Ever After. Street. Cleo used to hel run a tea room with her gran and her mother. Neither are still alive. She has the opportunity to rent a tea room on Wonderland Street following a difficult interview as to her suitability . She is going for an Alice in Wonderland theme. She needs to regain her baking prowess which seems to have deserted her following her grans and mother’s deaths in fairly short succession. She has also been let down by her ex-boyfriend who was originally going into a previous tearoom business with her.. On the first day Bram turns up on the door step dressed as The Mad Hatter. And says he’s there to work. Both Cleo and Bram have their own demons to conquer.

The story is a sweet rom-com and a delightful summer read from Jaimie Adman.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

I absolutely loved my visit to Ever After Street.

Cleo, grieving for the loss of her Mom and Grandmother doesn’t go out and mix with other people. She loved baking, she didn’t have to remember what ingredients to put in, but now, she’s forgotten everything and what she bakes now, isn’t what it once was.

But, then she finds out that she has a chance of running her own tearoom, something that she’s always wanted to do, it’s been her dream. Cleo decides to apply.

At the interview, Cleo lies and she’s offered the chance to run the tea shop with a condition.

On the first day, a man dressed the Mad Hatter appears at her doorstep, Bram advises her that he’s here to work.

But is Bram who he says he is, or is there something that he’s hiding?

I highly recommend this book.
