As a consultant and freelancer, I have noticed many offices have employees whose communication skills could be improved upon. This book discusses 10 common communication pitfalls. The beauty of this book is it is written in a concise and easy to understand format that works for all readers. The information in this book is useful to those who wish to improve their office communication skills and influence and to those that wish to assist and mentor those who could benefit from improved communication styles and techniques.
The Clarity Advantage by Tobin and Peterson is a self-help book focusing on communication. They provide 10 common communication pitfalls and how to overcome them. I enjoy reading books like this, given my profession as a therapist, and overall I enjoyed this book. I didn’t necessarily learn anything new but I think this could be a good book for anyone who is wanting to reflect on their communication skills and possibly improve them.
