Thank you NetGalley for the chance to read and review this!
These were two fairly cute stories, I will say that because I read them last year and forgot to review them immediately, I don't remember too much, which isn't a good thing; things should be more memorable.

A beautiful anthology of fairytale retellings pulling from different fairy tales, with such respect and admiration so clear to the original stories throughout. Vivid and descriptive writing that jumps right off of the page, and I could envision each and every magical moment.
I wasn't familiar with "The Goose Girl" before reading the retelling included as one of the stories in this book, but, I absolutely plan to read it now!
I highly recommend this anthology if you enjoy fairy tale retellings!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Pamela Sherwood and Isobel Clary for the e-ARC of this collection, it is incredible! All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

A cute collection of stories. Not exactly my favorite but a fun set of quick reads if you're in a fairytale mood.

I absolutely love a twist on the classic fairy tales. The two stories in this novella were perfect. I can’t wait to read the rest of the collection from A Twist In The Tale. I enjoyed the story that was like “The Goose-Girl” and had never heard that tale before. Now I wanna read it and can’t wait to compare. These stories were so creative with such attention to detail and amazing characters. I love that it wasn’t a spicy romance and just let the story tell it all. You will love this book. I can’t wait to read more. I received this as an ebook ARC and I have to have the whole collection! It was so good. Enjoy these adventures!

I love retellings of fairy tales and mythologies and so, I was excited to read A Twist In The Tale, which is a collection of fairy tale retellings. The authors took on the stories of The Little Mermaid, Snow White, Cinderella and The Goose Girl. I wasn't familiar with The Goose Girl before reading this book and I had to go read up on the original story. I really enjoyed the twists in the first and last stories, but I must confess that I didn't quite get Snow White and Cinderella. Thankfully, they were just a few pages but I think they should have been left out of the book. Overall, an interesting collection. I got the ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

What’s not to love about fairy tales? These two novellas are brilliant escapism and are full of vivid imagery.

This was a really cute quick fantasy read. If you want retelling with no spice this book is for you! It was so good!

Interesting stories. The book went into too much detail about how they came up with the concept, etc to be interesting. I enjoyed the actual story parts

These short stories were very entertaining and quick to read! I got a bit confused in the section between the stories, but that's just me. If you like romantic tales with no spice, this is for you! They are gentle and romantic love stories, with interesting tropes such as arranged marriage and disguise. I like the fantasy aspect of the stories and the lovely settings.

A really lovely gentle retelling of two classic fairytales that gives a little more substance to some of the original characters. Far less dark than the originals with some new twists to the endings. The stories are easy reads and very engaging.
