Thank you to Cranthorpe Millner Publishers for providing me with this e-arc. Unfortunately, I DNFed this book at 8%. When starting it, I was unaware that the author had a connecting novel, Restless Souls. If I had known this, I either would have read that first or not requested this book. This book definitely read like the second of a series and I was left lost without the background context. There were a lot of references to the past book and the relationships between characters that had been built previously.
I’m sure this story would’ve been much more intriguing if I had been aware of this!
