A DNF for me,i found Jade’s personality odd, changing from minute to minute without warning or real reason given as to why she would suddenly explode into temper with her hubby ( mainly in her thoughts ) but then the next be out having a fab time with him and guarding him so jealously
At 31% there has been a lot of talk, plenty of drinking champagne and cocktails, making pizzas and kid talk etc and many nice citrusy smells on people but nothing much else happening tbh except Christina at last moving in…maybe this is where it starts but had lost interest and so decided was not for me,apologies as I seem in the minority reading the other comments on here
The Other Woman is a gripping and addictive tale of betrayal, friendship, family drama, domestic drama and suspense. This is not a thriller so do not go into it thinking that, but it will keep you invested and hooked from start to finish. It was highly suspenseful, and kept me on my toes.
The characters were really well done, so believable. I thought the author did a great job in fleshing them out, it is a highly character driven novel, which is not my Forte, but the author truly did a great job with her debut novel.
Once I started this one I was truly absorbed and hooked in Jade’s world. I just needed to know what was happening and what was going on. It was very well crafted, great storytelling skills and character development. Stellar debut !
✨️ Thank you to @netgalley, @headline & @taniatey for my gifted ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you Headline and NetGalley for an early copy of The Other Woman. I Loved the title of the book. Jade was not my cup of tea, she was very mean in the way she spoke to Sam the night she went out. Christina was a whack, her child minding ideas were good though but she made the reader think she was trying to be mom to the kids. This was a great plot, the ending totally surprised me!! Where does Mazza fit in???? You will eventually find out but won’t figure it out at all. Great, Great, Great Book!!! Thank you again.

Wow what a book. I have never come across this author before and I was pleased that I have now come across her.
I totally devoured this book and I was totally engrossed. Would Def recommend to all. It kept my attention from the first to the last page
A nice way to lose yourself for a couple of hours.
Thank you Netgalley and Headline for the opportunity to review.
I was intrigued by this book from start to finish, definitely kept my attention! I finished this book in a day- I had to know what was happening. Would definitely read this author again!
Wow! Really enjoyed this book, kept me gripped the whole way through! Every time I thought I had worked it out .I was proven wrong! Didn’t see the twists!
A beautifully crafted debut novel that hits all the right spots.
Stellar story telling and fantastic character development join together to carry us through this gripping tale of betrayal.
Family drama, back to work anxiety, parental guilt and a head full of doubt- this book has it all.
This book was "domestic noir" at its finest! A superb depiction of the joys and trials of family life, combined with the darkness of suspicion and betrayal. The tension was almost unbearable at times, and the questions raised (and answers revealed) kept this gripped reader unable to pull away until the entire story came out. I also liked the mother/daughter relationships, the workplace settings, and other closely observed spheres in which women's lives are played out. A stunning debut, with brilliant structure and sympathetic characterisations. A pleasure to read. Thanks to Headline, the author and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review.
Lovely prose, immersive settings, and relatable and vividly drawn characters drew me into Jade’s world, and questions kept me there. Who can she trust? What happened all those years ago? Who should be made to pay? The answers I thought I knew changed again and again as I sped through to the VERY satisfying ending. I love it when I read an ending that just feels exactly right. A definite five stars from me.
Wow! What an extremely exciting and gripping thriller. It kept me hooked from the very start. I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen. I was so scared for the characters in this and my heart was pounding. And my goodness I did not see them twists coming!
Mum of 3 Jade is married to charming managing director Sam. Jade has put her life and career on hold for her young family. An old friend Christina from uni who won’t talk about her past gets in touch. Slowly she starts to infiltrate herself into Jades life and 3 children go missing.
Meanwhile, Jades husband starts to receive mystery texts from an unknown number… paranoia creeps in. Who is the other woman who wants her life!?
Bribery, trauma, betrayal and an unravelling storyline. Absolute cracker of a debut. Would definitely recommend and look forward to reading more from Tania Tey!

When two university friends reconnect after 20+ years, Jade is esctatic. After spending the last several years as the main caregiver for her children, she could use a recap of what it was like to be young, wild and free, and that is what Christina does for her. After finding Jade on Instagram, Christina reached out and the two of them meet up and reconnect. When Jade discusses her desire to return to work as a copywriter, Christina offers to watch her three children for her so she could freelance with Anthony, a friend and former colleague. All is going well and good, but on top of worrying about if returning to work was the right decision, Jade is also concerned over her marriage. After she found a suspicious text message on her husband, Sam's, phone from an unknown number, she begins to become suspicious of his behavior. Constantly assured that there is nothing to worry about, their relationship continues but the suspicions don't stop Jade from constantly worrying that Sam is having an affair, particularly with a young woman in his offer named Mazza.
Mazza has many secrets on Sam, but an affair isn't what is keeping her around. After a bit of harrassment occurs at their office Christmas party, Mazza begins blackmailing him, to the point that she requests extra money in order to remain quiet. Sam does as she asks, as the evidence she has will be damning to him, his business and his family life if it were to get out.
Jade remains suspicious of Christina, in addition to Sam, throughout as various occurrences begin happening that make her question what is truly going on. And when Jade finally learns the truth, she will do anything to make it right...especially when her children's lives are at stake.
What Tania Tay has accomplished in this wonderful debut novel is a show of sisterhood. A strange show of sisterhood, but sisterhood nonetheless. It will allow women all over the world to discuss the traumas that we deal with on a daily basis, simply for being a woman, and what constitutes as consent and what doesn't. Such a wonderful story of a sisterhood that went through trials and tribulations, and years of hiding the truth. For a debut novel, well done to this author, and I look forward to seeing all the wonderful things that I'm positive people will say about this book.
Thank you to the author, Tania Tay, Headline Publishing and NetGalley for an ARC of The Other Woman.
This really was a gripping read, I felt so many emotions for Jade I couldn't put it down until I reached the end, and it did NOT disappoint.
This book is truly something I can see myself re-reading as my comfort book,
This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher for the copy. What a gorgeous book! The author has a great gift for characterisation - nuanced, interesting, believable people. This book has so many gigantic twists in every chapter. And once again I just Loved reading it. I suppose all you need to know is that it’s a cracking action-packed story with a highly satisfactory ending – I really do recommend it.
I always wonder about woment who let another one into their lives. I felt for Jade but she frustated me at times too! A well written novel, just who do we know and should we trust our closest friends? This pulled me in from the start, so well written.
Wow! What a book! And so very true! This type of thing really happens all the time! Great book! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one! I highly recommend reading this book! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me! Jade has the life she always wanted: a husband and three perfect children. She's happy. Except, recently that isn't enough. Her husband is never home, and when he is, he's distant. She's a constant source of disappointment to her mum, and even her children are starting to push her away. Then she unexpectedly finds herself reconnecting with Christina, an old friend from university, and she starts to feel like herself again. As the women become closer, and Christina needs a place to stay, Jade welcomes her into their chaotic family home. But when Jade discovers a suspicious text on her husband's phone, she soon she starts questioning those around her!
