Responsible AI breaks down what it means to use ethics and values as a modern-day decision-making tool in the design and development of AI.
A good book for someone who's not an expert in the field and is at a nascent stage of implementation.
Maybe not quite right for someone like me with over twenty years experience in digital working for large corporations like Microsoft or cutting edge tech start-ups.
Thank you for the ARC.
This book is very facilitating for the layperson to understand AI and it's wider impact, without complicated phrasing and jargon.
Very approchable for anyone to pick up and takes you through the systems and how they effect business, products and end users as well as the ethical issues that grow from AI.
Written by an AI Ethicist, Responsible AI is a guidebook to setting up AI-powered functionality in your business, and using it the right way. The author takes us through the pillars of People, Process and Technology, highlighting how they all have to come together to deliver an AI strategy that works, delivers value and meets ethical standards.
I expected the book to be more practitioner-focused, but actually I would say it's aimed at execs who are interested in bringing AI capabilities to their organisations and who care about building solutions that are effective and fair. Responsible AI adoption is a journey and this book shows that you can't simply give someone a tool and expect them to implement it. It takes a structured, collaborative approach to creating responsible tech that aligns with your organisational goals. A very interesting read.
