I'm a huge fan of Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara's books. They're simply precious and perfect for young readers! After enjoying her previous works, I eagerly delved into the one about Taylor Swift. This book offers a fantastic glimpse into Taylor's world. Before reading it, I knew very little about her.
Reading this book gave me a better understanding of Swift. She's truly authentic! Her genuineness shines through and resonates with her fans. She genuinely cares about them, beyond just fame or money. Her openness about her journey and love for her fans make her even more admirable. I'm eager to learn more about her music and background; her story is truly captivating!
I highly recommend this book. It is perfect for young readers. In addition to being well-written, it is beautifully illustrated.
A wonderful edition to the Little People Big Dreams series that features people who have made an impact on our lives. Taylor has always struck me as an exceptionally talented girl with a big heart. She knows her fans are why she is where she is and she doesn’t forget that. To read this and find she was writing songs before she was a teen shows her outstanding ability in the music world. It also shows that having dreams and following them has big rewards in the end. Love her music or hate her music, she comes across as a kind caring soul.
#TaylorSwift. #NetGalley
Pros: I adore the Little People Big Dreams series of children's books and find myself requesting each one on NetGalley because I end up learning something from them. I think it's fantastic that these books for children focus on the famous person as a child and how they came to be the person the world knows. The attention to detail in the illustrations of each book is always impressive and shows the care given to each subject. Specifically to this book about Nadal, Taylor Swift . . . I think this is the book I have been waiting for in this series so I can gift it at all of my Swiftie friends' baby showers! Actually, I think I can gift it to the Swifties just for fun without the need of a baby shower.
Cons: None! I can't wait to read more in this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Children's Books for the opportunity to read this book.
A modern version within the Little People Big Dreams series. Taylor Swift is one of the most successful, powerful and current superstars of our times. Maria has hit the nail on the head by covering Taylor in her series. A must read for any young person who wants to believe in achieving their dreams.
Read with my daughter and we're both big Taylor Swift fans. We both loved it and will be reading it together again. My daughter really appreciates having this story, and I'm so grateful as a parent to have such a fantastic book to show her a good role model.
My daughter is a huge Taylor Swift fan and she thoroughly enjoyed this. The illustrations make this fun and relatable to children. The content itself is factual and informative without too much information to overload younger minds. Really enjoyed it.
My tiny Swifties loved this book. I have 3 and 5 year old girls who love everything Taylor. This was totally age appropriate. The illustrations are fantastic and kept them engaged. Child level knowledge giving a little mini biography. They've asked me to read it several times.
It’s the perfect day to post a review on the day of Taylor’s newest release: The Tortured Poets Department.
As a new mom, I have spent many late nights and early mornings listening to Folklore/ Evermore to help my little get back to sleep. As someone who has grown up as a Swiftie, I am excited to share her music with the next generation and show the good qualities in some of our biggest stars.
Okay, let’s start with the actual review!
I LOVE the Little People, BIG DREAMS books and was beyond thrilled to receive an arc from NetGalley. They have a way of telling a story that flows well for the little ones to understand and put a focus on the good qualities of a person - I love how they provide books to help inspire our little ones. For this specific book, we see Taylor as being an individual who was comfortable with herself and knew from the early age she wanted to pursue music - regardless of what her peers said. It also shows how she cares about her fans and wants to include them with these major chapters of her life - showing that it doesn’t matter how successful you are, you can always be kind. The book provides little sweet life lessons that I want my daughter to carry throughout her life. I also want to add how STUNNING the illustrations are in this book.
Short little addition to the “little people, big dreams” series. Unlike so many people i’ve come across online I don’t know much about Taylor Swift so for me it was a quick snapshot of her life and I can see how it would be a good starting place for someone (particularly children) to learn a few details before searching for more information. Fun quick read (read on netgalley)
Follow your dream. Be true to yourself. Put yourself out there. Those are the main takeaways from this portrait of a real star.
The illustrations by Karen Borghild Fallberg are fun, simple, brilliantly colorful, and delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or your local public library!
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on Adobe Digital Editions from Quarto Publishing Group/Frances Lincoln Children's Books via NetGalley. Thank you! Expected publication 11 Jun 2024

This is the perfect book for Taylor Shift fans of all ages. The illustrations are clear and colourful. I always learn something new when I read them and will definitely be adding this to my collection
Very cute and simple story about Taylor Swift. Powerful meaning for young children - you can achieve your dreams. At the end are some pictures of her and some more facts/timeline. Both of my girls (8 and 10) enjoyed the story and wanted to explore more of her music
With so many students of mine being her fan, when I saw this coming up on NetGalley, I knew that I have to review it. It is a very sweet story about Taylor. I doubt though if there is any new information in the book there. Though I am not her fan, I know all the things written in the book already. So, I guess this one is more for fans to buy as a keepsake. The illustration is really cute.
This was a super cute mini-biography of Taylor Swift aimed at the littles. The art in this book really stood out as fantastic and you could tell that the drawings were Taylor. The author made Taylor's story seem reachable, which I really appreciate in a children's book. There will definitely be future singer-songwriters inspired by this story.
Also, there were so many fun illustrations of her cats throughout the book and that was fantastic!
Thanks to Net Galley, Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara, and Quarto Publishing for providing this ARC for my review!
How could I not read this Little People, Big Dreams book about Taylor Swift?
Like the other books in this series the illustrations are amazing and I especially felt these ones captured Taylor’s bubbly personality. What I liked about this book is how it also focus on her kind nature and was an overview of her music career. Taylor Swift fans young and old will enjoy this little book!
From the adult perspective I like how there is more detailed two page biography at the back. These books would be a fantastic add to any grade school library!
Thank you Net Galley and Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books for sharing this book!
Taylor Swift is dropping her newest album tonight and I am waiting to listen to it. While waiting I read the Taylor Swift biography for kids from the Little People, Big Dreams series. This is very surface level with focus on her beginnings and mentioning some of her awards and honors. She is a superstar and I admire someone who through their talent created a career for herself and jobs for many others. I had hoped for a little more depth in the story but with the book geared for very young readers that is hard to accomplish.
It was a super cute book aimed for little kids and I read it with my two year old. The illustrations were fantastic and adorable. It had just enough information about Taylor’s life and career path to be inspiring, encouraging, provide hope, and make a little person curious I think, and I learned a couple of things myself!
Thank you for the arc NetGalley, Frances Lincoln children’s books and Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara!
A sweet young reader biography of Taylor Swift that emphasizes her self confidence, even when she didn't always fit in. Any young reader who admires Swift will enjoy learning her life story with the help of colorful illustrations.
Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books for the e-ARC of this title to read and review. I'm a big Taylor Swift fan, so this was a treat. And I've read a bunch of the Little People, Big Dreams biography series books, so I have the context of how public figures and historical legends are spotlighted for kids. This combo of bios for kids and cute illustrations has been hit-or-miss for me in the pass, but I think it works really well for Taylor Swift - and her story so perfectly lends itself to this platform of noteworthy figures as kids since so much of her own career began in her own childhood. The illustration style matched many of her early eras and brought the early Taylor lore to life well. I think kids who are already fans will love engaging with her story like this, and younger audiences who don't yet know about her beginnings and early love of music will be introduced with a lovely primer.
No doubt Taylor swift is the most successful singer of this generation. This book tells her story of following her dreams.
