I obviously knew of Taylor Swift uand why she is famous. I might not be able to name her greatest hits or immediately recognise her distinctive voice but I do appreciate why she deserves her place within this series.

Being a grandparent I know my grandchildren will be delighted by this latest addition to this wonderful series, Little People, Big Dreams.

Being older though makes me more of a shuffler than a swiftie.

Taylor was born into a musical family and dreamed of being able to become a performer within the Country music scene. Learning to play the guitar to compose her own songs and tell her own stories through well crafted lyrics.

A real talent emerged as her rise to musical nobility attests.

I love the simple writing and supporting illustrations full of colour and detail enhancing this engaging story of a talented individual who has taken the music industry by storm.

I was pleased to see how mature Taylor is and approachable with her fans; how much she fights for equality and diversity and promotes understanding and support for good mental health wellbeing.

Children at our school absolutely devour these little people, big dreams books aa they are easy to read and accessible to so many children but also give a short biography that tells the important parts of these people's lives. The illustrations help to tell the story of their life too which helps give extra information.
They are eagerly awaiting the arrival of this one as Taylor Swift is such an icon and this book perfectly captures her life...her upbringing and journey into country music, her personal journey and criticism she has come under and also the main thing about her...the fact she is kind and stands up for people. What a role model for young people today

Another great Little People BIG DREAMS story! This one is all about Taylor Swift.

It outlines her growing up, listening to music, and attending a country music concert that cemented her love for songs and singing. After this concert, she became serious about her craft. However, she was only sometimes accepted by her peers and parts of the music industry for her genre.

The book shows how Taylor kept trying from the young age of 11 and how her determination led her to the big star she is today.

This is a great read for those kids who love Taylor Swift.

Perfect for Swifties of all ages! I have been a fan of Taylor Swift since “Teardrops on my Guitar” and I loved watching her grow as an artist. I think this book is perfect for any Swiftie fan. The illustrations are adorable!

This book is so adorable. My small Swifties will love this! I love that it focuses on all of her hard work, and none of the drama of people who don’t approve of her.

This review was written with assistance from my 10 year old daughter who is addicted to Taylor Swift's music--her words! My daughter suggests this book for first graders and up--though it would be a good choice for Swifties of all ages! The pictures are beautifully drawn and realistic. Older kids would enjoy the bio at the end of the book which features photographs and additional information including the fact that Taylor is named for James Taylor! My daughter also liked how some of Taylor's albums are talked about in the book.

Thank you to the publisher for the digital copy of this book in exchange for our honest review.

This was a cute and fun read about Taylor Swift's life and how she got started in the music industry. I have slowly come to know more about Taylor and felt that this book highlighted some important events, and made them age-appropriate for children with a heartfelt and inspiring message.

The timeline at the end of the book mostly restates what was depicted through illustrations, so I would've liked to get more information or details rather than restating what was already said.

I loved the art style and illustrations, the colors and imagery were perfect for this book.

Overall I think there could have been more highlights included but I think it is a fun read for a child interested in Taylor.

This book was adorable! It was so cute and interesting and the illustration was perfect. I like how it shares information about Taylor as a kid and how she has achieved her goals. This can be a strong message to young kids and show them that if they try hard, they can accomplish what they want.

This is so cute. It was clearly written by a fan, but would make a great gift for any little Swifties or for adult fans having their own kids. The illustrations in particular were so adorable but also really looked like Taylor. I loved it!

The perfect story for the mini Taylor Swift fans, or to gift to an expecting fan!
This children's book tells the story of one of the most loved artists of our generation, and turns it into a fun story for kids, and for adults too! The story is not too long, but just the right length for children to read as a bedtime story.
Personally, I loved that at the end of the story, there was a timeline with past and current pictures of Taylor.
I would recommend this book either to read to your children, or to gift to someone who is a fan of hers.

As a Swiftie, I absolutely adored this book.
I think it will be perfect for young boys and girls to read to learn more about her life. I loved the short timeline at the end of the book as well. It would be a great tool for students to use if they are researching Taylor.

I am absolutely in love with the Little People, Big Dreams series, so when I saw that there's a book dedicated to Taylor Swift, I knew I had to read it. Thank you to the publisher for supplying me with the book!
The whole aesthetic and vibe of the book is straight out of a fairytale, which I think captures the essence and impression Swifties feel when listening to Taylor's music. It means a lot to us, the feeling of being understood, and the dedication and understanding of Taylor's life and career shine through and through in this book. The illustrations are gorgeous, I think every little one would enjoy flipping through this book. It's inspirational for them, and emphasizes the importance of passion, doing the things you love, not giving up, and believing in yourself.
This book was a pleasant reading experience, even for me, a 22-year-old. I highly recommend it to everyone, those, who love Taylor Swift, and to those, who would love to introduce her to their little ones.

Since even I, as one who was a late-comer to the Swifties countless, learned a few things from this, I'm sure young readers will, too. Since other reviews seem to expound on their connection to Swift, I'll stick to my take on the book. I liked it. I have thoroughly enjoyed anything I've read from the Little People, Big Dreams shelf and this was no exception. While adults or more savvy fans will surely wish it went into more detail, it does a great job of giving an overview of where Swift came from and her rise. More importantly, it gives insight into how she fosters the connection she has with her fans.

That illustrations are lovely, showing her as a child on her family's Christmas tree farm and later in concert. There's a young, innocent look to her in the pictures and, parents, never fear, the book doesn't touch on her romantic life or really even most of the spotlight and hassles she's faced as an adult artist. Instead, while noting that she was often laughed at in school because of her obsession with country music and wearing her cowboy boots to school, the focus is on her drive to succeed. Her parent's support and love is also noted, a reminder that being a musician doesn't mean one must rebel against parental figures, though that was my take, not really an intent of the book. It also notes she didn't just trust to blind luck. She worked for it, taking lessons in singing and even acting rather than just relying on innate talent.

Bottom line, a respectful, sweet look at the now mega-star Taylor Swift when she was just another "little people" with "big dreams". Thanks #NetGalley and #QuartoPublishingGroup - #FrancesLincolnChildren'sBooks for sharing this look at an artist I may have been late discovering but have come to admire greatly.

“Taylor Swift” by Maria Vegara is part of the Little People, Big Dreams collection. I’ve been attracted to the covers of these books fora while, though I’ve never read one. I’m on the fence about this cover, but the illustrations inside made up for it. I liked that this book focuses on the positives in Ms. Swift’s life - her parents’ support, her music, and her fans. But it didn’t shy away from noting that Taylor felt alone while in school (who doesn’t identify with that?) but kept doing what she enjoyed doing. I think this book was good and sweet; enough for a youngster to get a grasp of who she is, if anyone right now doesn’t know who Taylor Swift is.
