Vampire fans rejoice! The Moonshifter saga continues with action, suspense, vampires and werewolves, evil bad guys and swoony good guys - it doesn't get much better than this!!!!
Loved Erin’s and Noah’s story. When Erin is sent to investigate missing pregnant shifters, Noah goes with her. Little knowing that something from her past may threaten their future.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you for allowing me to review
I have been waiting on Noah and Erin’s story. I have been cheering on their relationship since they met and this book didn’t disappoint. Erin is determined to not ever get involved with another person after her past almost destroyed her. Her first assignment in her new role is not only going to bring her horrible past to the surface, but she will finally get the chance to move on. The question is will she survive the process or will she totally let her wolf take over? Will Noah be able to finally get her to give in and live life to the fullest?
This is the fourth book in the, Moon Shifters Series. I have read all of them all thus far and have loved every story. Erin and Noah are forced together to find finding six missing pregnant female shifters. Noah’s father, alpha of the territory the city they must search in, shares the area with vamps, feline shifters, fae, and even a few demons to add to the mix. So, let the conflict begin. I really enjoy the world Katie created in this series. I do recommend you read the series from the beginning. As each book builds on the different classes of supernatural, the humans. And the conflicts they each have to deal with.
Another excellent read in this series! Action, suspense, sexy romance and great characters. I loved finally getting Erin's story. It was an emotional rollercoaster. Add in Noah and its a book you can't put down. I immediately went and bought the rest of the books in the series!
Intriguing!
Noah and Erin have a roller coaster story full of heart ache, action, drama, twist and love. I am really enjoying this series.
I voluntarily read an advanced copy.
Erin is a wolf shifter and a new enforcer. A year ago she was half dead lying behind a garbage dumpster when she was rescued. She is sent to New Orleans, her first solo assignment, to find out why pregnant shifters are going missing.
Noah is the wolf shifter that found Erin. He is very attracted to Erin but is hiding a secret and won’t let herself fall for Noah.
Noah is sent with Erin as backup and her worst nightmare is about to come true. Can they find the ones responsible for taking the pregnant shifters before another one goes missing?
Great story. Sex. Action. Secrets. I really liked this couple. Erin has been through a lot but doesn’t constantly complain about it. She’s tough and beautiful. Noah is very protective and smoking hot.

Picking up a Katie Reus book is a no brainer for me, and Avenger's Heat didn't disappoint. This fourth book in the Moon Shifter series (there are a couple of novellas too) is my favorite so far, and I think it's because I love both Erin and Noah and have been waiting a while for their story. That said, while it can read fine as a standalone, the characters—many of whom are secondary characters outside of whichever book is theirs—can be hard to keep straight. There's also frequently a subplot connected to another couple, so that's even more to remember. Here, we have fae Brianna and shifter Angelo.
Erin's tragic backstory has been teased throughout the series, so there was the potential of it being overpromised but underdelivered. For the most part, it is well handled, though I think I expected a little more there. And while I think we're supposed to see it as a roadblock to her and Noah's happiness, it never really seems like one at all.
This series is actually one that Reus published about a decade ago and is revising and rereleasing. To that end, it may lack a little of the... complexity?... found in her newer novels. But it's still good and definitely with the read.
I received an ARC of this book for free from the publisher and Netgalley. I'm writing this review voluntarily, and it reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!
Avenger's Heat is the fourth book in the re-released Moon Shifter Series by Katie Reus. This story deals with missing shifters in New Orleans. The cultural favor of this unique city shows throughout the story. Enforcer Erin Flynn arrives there along with Noah. Back in his hometown is bittersweet for Noah but he puts his personal feelings aside just to be with Erin.
The past and present collide in this book which is actually necessary before the characters can move on in their lives. The suspense is exciting and the bedroom door is thrown wide open. An enjoyable shifter read but I must admit that the suspense and mystery of the story were what I enjoyed the most. Erin and Noah’s relationship was based on lust so I would have liked to see more emotional connection along the way than just near the conclusion. This is sometimes way shifter books go. Still crime to be solved or romance to be had, there is something for everyone.
Avenger's Heat by Katie Reus.
Moon Shifter Series Book 4.
Enforcer Erin Flynn has dedicated her life to protecting shifters. But protecting her heart from Noah, the gorgeous wolf who saved her life last year, is more difficult than any mission. Especially since he’s determined to break down all her walls. And now that they’ve been assigned a job together, she’s not sure she can hide any longer.
I really enjoyed this book. I do love this author. This is book 21 that i have read of hers. I love this series. I love the cover. I do like Erin's character and Noah. Their attraction to each other. Lots of action. Loved when she was a wolf and Noahs remark about pink collar got her to change back. I am looking forward to the next book. 4*.
This was a great book. The characters were very likeable. The writing was very well done as there were no flat spots.
Fantastic Read!
Sultry, Steamy, Passionate with wonderful characters all of which creates an emotional action packed read.
What an adventure this storyline is, the moment Noah found her he became her best friend, he wanted to protect her forever and claim her as his mate. They both had demons to address but together, they could overcome them and claim the HEA just waiting for them.
I was so involved in this read! I really wanted to be there for Erin and to help her exact the revenge she deserved. Noah is one swoon-worthy hero and best friend, eyes firmly on her and no-one else.
An uplifting emotional read which will keep you engrossed in each and every page with some witty moments and an added romance to make you smile.
Highly recommended read!
Erin came to Connor's pack a shell of her former self. They found her beaten, bruised and fragile. She found safety with his pack of Warrior wolf shifters, especially with her closest friend Noah. There has always been an attraction between them but Erin feels too broken to be the mate that Noah deserves. Noah doesn't want to push Erin into something she's not ready for but his beast can't bear not being around it's mate.
Noah may be a big bad warrior wolf but Erin, as a newly minted Enforcer, outstrips him and he LOVES it. He doesn't care that she is more powerful then him. He'll proudly stand beside and behind her - he just wants her. Erin has some intense and heartbreaking memories and scars to try and overcome, some of which tie into the mystery that Erin and Noah are trying to solve.
I loved the layers of story in the book. Whilst Noah and Erin are the MC's, there are still other arcs going on and characters appearing who get involved in later stories. I enjoyed seeing Brianna again and learning more about the Fae.
