Another fabulous read. about the Savage family
The third book in this series is dark and full of the crime as you would expect it to be.
Lots of secrecy and betrayal.
A gangland story at its, best with plenty of drama and things to make your toes curl.
It's good to see the ladies taking a big part known as "The Bitches" they are rough and tough and take no prisoners.
From the first page to the last, you be caught up in this book and constantly going back to it to read a little more
Heather is such a talented lady. Her books are well worth reading.
A very good story about three families, the Savages, the Alexanders, and the Tallans. Carly Savage has been secretly dating Jack Alexander which among the families is a no, no. yet As you progress in the book you realize that you do not want to make Carly and Jane Savage your enemy. A really good book with plenty of action and suspense very much worth the read.
A Savage Betrayal is the third book in the Savage Sisters series. The family feuds, backstabbing, intimidation and violence are all present and correct in this gripping read and the Savage Sisters prove yet again that they are not to be underestimated.
Heather Atkinson always writes real page turners and you get sucked into the storyline immediately. This book did all of that and more.
A 5 star read and if you haven't started this series yet I highly recommend it particularly if you like authors such as Martina Cole and Kimberley Chambers, you won't regret it,
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC of A Savage Betrayal in exchange for a honest review.
I love all of Heather's books and this one does not disappoint! There's a seamless flow from book 2 to this one, book 3. Like catching up with relatives you haven't seen in a while. Can't wait to see what's next for the Savage Sisters
It was so lovely catching up with the savage sisters again who are still working with their uncle and cousins and getting into situations.
However, someone is plotting against them and trying to cause issues which eventually comes to light.
Naughtiness and a bit of romance chucked in, I absolutely love this series
A Savage Betrayal by Heather Atkinson is the third book in the brilliant the Savage family series and what a superb book this was. These books are Gangland crime in Glasgow at its best! especially as its full of gritty twists and turns throughout. Within this book.
Carly and Jane Savage and the Alexander family now are both working for Rod Tallan who is dangerous to both families and not to be messed with! They all have to put aside their differences for the sake of money.
Carly has been secretly dating Jack Alexander for the past two months, which is a big NO NO within both families and a dangerous game she is playing! But, Carly is still in love with Dean and he is her cousin, sadly their family forbid their relationship as well.
Exciting............and fireworks are going to be set off when their secret comes out!!!
I loved the way Heather wrote this book especially as it can be read as a stand alone but I do recommend you go back and read the other two books within this series. You will not be disappointed!
Big thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for allowing me to read this ARC.
Loved! Can't wait for the next book!
Now that the Savage family and the Alexander family are both working for Rod Tallan, they put aside their differences for the sake of money. Carly has been secretly dating Jack Alexander for the past two months. She's enjoying his company and it helped heal her broken heart that her cousin, Dean, gave her by lying to her. But slowly, things start changing within the organization and the Savage's find out that Carly is dating Jack. Things with their boss starts to change as well.
Rod has always wanted Carly, he's 20 years older than she is but that won't stop him from getting what he wants. Carly is trying to make amends with Dean; she misses their friendship. That's when she realizes that she's in love with two men at the same time.
When the Queen of Glasgow, Toni McVay, finds out that Rod is trying to take her crown, she recruits the Savage Family. But Jack has a plan of his own. So does his cousin, Cole. Who will come out the winner?
A great read!
I am a huge fan of Heather and her work and I have been for a while now. I haven't caught up with everything that she has written to date but that is something that I hope to rectify in the not too distant future. I read the synopsis of 'A Savage Betrayal' and it certainly sounded like just the sort of book I have come to expect from Heather - a gritty, gripping and fast paced gangland thriller. Well it was all that and so much more. I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'A Savage Betrayal' but more about that in a bit.
As with all of Heather's books, the synopsis was enough to grab my attention and draw me in. As soon as I started reading the story itself, that was it- I instinctively knew that I wasn't going to be doing anything other than reading for the rest of the afternoon because I knew that I wouldn't be able to put the book down. My Kindle wasn't exactly glued to my hand but it might as well have been because it travelled everywhere with me. I couldn't bear to miss a single second of the story. I'll be honest and say that the characters in this book scared the doo doo out of me but at the same time they intrigued me. I developed my own theories as to what was going to happen so of course I had to keep reading to see if I was anywhere near the truth or if I had wandered off in the opposite direction. The more of the book that I read, the more I wanted to read and the quicker the pages seemed to turn. All too quickly I reached the end of 'A Savage Betrayal'. I found 'A Savage Betrayal' to be a gritty, gripping, tense and dramatic read, which certainly kept me guessing and kept me on the edge of my seat.
'A Savage Betrayal' is superbly written but then I have come to expect nothing less from Heather Atkinson. Heather has an easy going writing style that draws the reader in and makes the reader feel as though they are part of the story and at the heart of the action. That's how I felt anyway. For me, the story hit the ground running and maintained a fairly fast pace throughout. Heather clearly cares about her characters and this shines through in the very vivid and realistic way in which she describes them. Her characters seem scarily realistic and are the sort of people I would probably cross the road to avoid walking past them. Reading 'A Savage Betrayal' felt like being on a rather scary and unpredictable rollercoaster ride with several twists and turns along the way. Just when you thought that you could take a moment to gather your thoughts and catch your breath then off the action would go again.
In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'A Savage Betrayal' and I would recommend it to other readers. I hope to read much more of Heather's work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.
This is the 3rd book in this series. About the Savage Sisters. Gangland crime in Glasgow at its best! Even though it’s part of a series, it could be read as a stand-alone as, as Heather Atkinson does refer back to previous storylines from previous books.
Carly & Jane Savage work as debt collectors, with their cousins and uncle. Working alongside the Alexander Brothers - who all work for Rod Tallon!.
Yet again, a fantastic and fast paced and gripping read from Heather Altkinson.
Thanks Netgalley & Boldwood Books for the chance to read this Arc. Also to Rachel’s Random Resources, for allowing me to be part of the Book Blog Tour!

This is book 3 in a series, it worked as a standalone due to the author referring to previous plots, I do feel it would be best read in order to fully understand the characters and their history.
This is a really gritty read, I really enjoyed that there was so much in the book, gangs, romance, violence, family dynamics and more violence! Some parts are definitely not for the faint hearted, but will be loved by those who like their gangland to the extreme.
This sister are all fantastic, Carly has balls for everyone, one tough lady. I will now be binging all of the authors work!
This is the first Heather Atkinson book I have read and it definitely won’t be the last- I’ve already downloaded the first two books in this series and i can’t wait to read them.
Gangland crime is my favourite genre of books and this one ticked all the boxes. It was action packed from start to finish and full of surprises - I loved this book.
Carly and Jane Savage are working as debt collectors with their cousins and uncle. They are in partnership with the Alexander brothers and both families are working for Rod Tallon. Neither group like Rod Tallon.
Carly is secretly in a relationship with Jack Alexander but they don’t want their families to find out. Rod Tallon wants Carly but she is horrified by the prospect but has to go on dates with him to keep the peace. Things take a turn for the worse and Carly is fearful for her family.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for an advance copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Thriller and bad boy vibes while this family faces issues trying to understand who can and can’t be trusted in this new alliance that could destroy both families and everyone in them.
Firstly thank you Netgalley for this Arc
Wow another brilliant gritty book in this series
Love this authors books
I was SO excited for this to come out and was ecstatic to have received an ARC, Heather Atkinson has fast become one of the gangland authors that I race to read from, and she became an auto-buy author last year. This was so sharp and gritty, had me staying up until 3am reading. I will read whatever she writes!
This is the third book in the savage sisters series and it didnt disapoint.
The control of haghill estate has been fought over by various gangs the tallons alexanders savage families
The truce between Alexanders tallons and savages is being held by a thin thread.
Carly savage us in a secret relationship with jack alexander if their families knew there would be a war.to make things more volatile rod tallon also wants carly.
Can carly really trust jack and then toni mcvay comes into the mix is she friend or foe.
Only one thing is certain when the chips are down family always comes first the savages stick together
A gripping story start to finish and you want more to come in the savages saga.heather atkinson is a big talent in this genre a thrilling vook of twists and turns. A brilliant read
Couldn't wait to read this.....
As the savage family and the Alexander's join forces, they are a force to be reckoned with on the estate. BUT there's a new player on the streets, who? What do they want?. After the dispatching of Rod Tallons brother in the last book, Rod is know the main man.... he takes a shine to Carley Savage and tells her he is taking her to a party, she doesn't want to, but you don't say No tor Rod Tallon..... when he offers to take her out a second time, he tries to rape her, Carley manages to get away and goes straight to Dean her cousin., why Dean and not her boyfriend Jack Alexander?
Something is taking place on the estate, everyone seems to be paying their debts of in full, but how? Someone is out for blood but who? Who is Bill the man who works at the goth bar carley has started working in?
Never a dull moment with this series, I was shouting at my kindle, whilst reading it, on the edge of my seat, fantastic I hope there's more to come? I love the characters especially the sisters, highly addictive series, definitely a 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read for me. I LOVED IT !!
Another great installement in the lives of the Savage family.
Carly is still in love with Dean but he’s her cousin so the family forbid a relationship but she finds herself attracted to Jack but that’s a problem to because he’s an Alexander one of the families arch enemies. As they’ve ended up working together since Ross Tallon took out his brother Neil it’s even trickier.
Something isn’t right with the job though people are paying back loans and Rod is losing out on interest.
Does Jack know what’s going on?
Great read hard to put down and hoping there is more to come from the Glaswegian family and their dealings .
Carly Savage is secretly seeing Jack Alexander after having her heart broken by her cousin Dean. As the families have formed a alliance the streets of Glasgow are quiet but not for long. I am in awe of this genre and I have loved all the books in this series because the author keeps them fresh with so many new twists and turns. I like how the girls are not afraid to get there hands dirty and are just as ruthless as the men. Not knowing who could be trusted kept me gripped right up until the end.
I’d like to thank Boldwood Books and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘A Savage Betrayal’, book three in The Savage Sisters series written by Heather Atkinson, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
An uneasy alliance has formed between the Savages, the Alexanders and the Tallans. Although Carly’s still has feelings for her cousin Dean she knows it won’t work so has secretly been dating Jack Alexander, but Rod Tallon is interested in her and could make life difficult. But he Savage sisters, Carly, Jane and Rose, are every bit as tough as the men and are happy to prove it.
‘A Savage Betrayal’ is the third gritty gangland thriller based in Glasgow as the three rival gangs can’t be trusted not to double-cross each other. I’ve enjoyed reading this gripping thriller that features the characters from the previous two books and with the suspense, danger and bloodshed makes this a book not to be missed.
Absolutely brilliant read have loved all of Heather's books as she hooks you and then reels you in with a superb story and characters that bring life to the book.EXCELLENT.
