I found Ledge by accident while scrolling through social media last year and picked it up only because author's videos were funny and engaging. I loved the book instantly within first couple of chapters; couldn't wait for another one.

I knew I needed Valley as soon as I was done with Chasm. Last book doesn't disappoints - the atmosphere and writing are great. Fantastic end to equal amazing series.

I am looking forward to future work of Stacey McEvan.

Mother above, but what a magnificent creature this book is.

I gave myself a couple of days to write this review, to gather my thoughts and emotions that were left in a puddle after finishing this. But alas, their state remains unchanged.

The character arcs, the world building, the madness, the resolutions, the journey to get there, THE LAYERS. The first thing I wanted to do after finishing this was go straight back to Ledge and start all over again so I can revel in all those delicious layers that were so carefully weaved throughout this series.

And I cannot even deal with the perfection of that ending. A quintessential finale with an understated epilogue that spoke to the truth of every part of that found family. This book is everything to love in a romantasy.

If you haven’t already, read this series and relish in its glory.

As in my review for the second book, I reiterate this could and should have been a duology.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC. I really enjoyed the first book a lot. The second book absolutely dragged. This book also drags. Important events from books 2 and 3 could have been combined into one book.

The struggle with this book is that there is a lot of wandering. They're in the chasm and then they're not and on the mountain again. Then they're at the Colony then they're not. It feels very second Lord of the Rings Book. We have some separate POVs that I am not sure we really needed.

Yennes (the witch) was known as Farra and she had a son with a Glacian who WOW no surprise turns out to be Ryon. She wants the queens to liberate the Ledge and helper her save her son after she agrees to save one of the Queens lives. But the Queens won't and she just gives up. But she manages to work with one of the Queens (the one she saved) later on to turn on the other and basically liberate the Ledge folk (although given her own son isn't with them it feels all just a little too late and too little to begin with.)

She sacrifices herself to take in the magic from the pool so that it no longer exists. One Queen the bad one turns on the kind of meriocre one and kills her. The guard and some of the soldiers band with the half breed good Glacians and Ledge folk to beat the other Queen who D kills. D decides she doesn't want to be Queen and honor her grandmother's legacy (hated this part but whatever) and gives the title to Ruby, the guard who was on her side.

Apparently her and her friends go an build an inn away from everyone on the other side of the forest and live out their lives having kids. Although IDK how any of them survive it, specifically D when we are told that half breeds kill their mothers but maybe because it would be 1/4 Glacian it is ok but we know that two of the kids are named after both their moms so clearly they had children.

Anyway the ending is pretty rushed. Some mages were in hiding and decided not to fight the Glacians or help undo what they did when making the pool (also stupid).

Overall, most of this book was unnecessary.

WOW - absolutely epic conclusion to the trilogy.

I have loved this series and these characters. I knew this third and final installment would be full of action, but I had no idea of all the twists and turns and jaw dropping moments that awaited me.

There were interesting time jumps used that kept me glued to the story. I couldn’t put it down!

I am still wiping happy tears from the epilogue.

If you haven’t read this series yet- I highly recommend it! The third person omniscient writing style always takes me a minute to get into, but it’s so worth it.

I can’t wait to see what Stacey Mcewan does next.

Stacey McEwan really went for it. And she delivered. This was a heart wrenching, emotional, action-packed tale to tie up the Glacian Trilogy.
It felt like it had just enough of everything in it. Found family, love, war, intrigue, betrayal, satisfying endings for many characters. Even some twists I didn’t see coming. This trilogy really turned it up a notch from book 1. I was really impressed by Chasm and Valley was a perfect end to the series.

This book was a nice conclusion to an adventurous trilogy. I found that the first half of the book started off a little slow; traveling through the valley. It was much more about internal character turmoil than any advanced plot. However, I did enjoy seeing the queens' perspectives more, as well as what was happening around them during this journey. In the second half of this trilogy, it definitely did pick up quite a bit. The combination between mythology and lore, magic and truth, and an overall purpose to live was a really nice balance. I was also a little sad at the lack of romance in this book, as it was very minimal. That being said, overall, I did really enjoy it and I loved that for the most part, all the characters had a happy ending.

What a great conclusion to an amazing story. It was dark and heartbreaking but also beautiful and at times funny. Things never happened the way i thought it would and it kept me on the edge of my seat till the last page.
I loved the romance and how through everything they keep finding eachother.

I hope the author will keep expanding upon this world in future books but i have to say i want to read everthing she'll write at this point.

Wow, what an ending to a fantastic series. This is the final installment in the Glacian trilogy, Dawsyn and the people of the ledge are now at the bottom of the chasm and surrounded by darkness. Battle weary, surrounded by whispers, and with low food supplies. Up top, the Queen and new King of Glacia are still searching for her. Will she be able to lead them all to safety? With betrayal from an unexpected source, things will soon be coming to a head.

I envy anyone else who gets to pick up this book, and read it for the first time. I for sure have a re-read of this series in my future. I have absolutely loved and raged every minute throughout the years of reading and waiting for this trilogy to be published. I mean, Stacey, I will be getting with you about where to send my therapy bills! It has been such a journey, and I don't think there could have been a more perfect ending. I have LOTS OF FEELINGS!! But, it really came together the way it should have. It was like a warm hug being back with so many beloved characters, right before you ripped my heart out and stomped on it a little. Only to give me, to date, my favorite epilogue ever. The way in which you wrote that... chefs kiss! Thank you for dreaming up this world and these characters, to love and hate in equal measure and thank you for sharing them with us readers!

An epic conclusion to the most bingeable series I read all year!! I highly recommend this series to everyone who loves fantasy romance.

I devoured this series and this was a fabulous ending to this trio!! The epilogue had me in tears!!

This 100% surpassed my expectations of what this series finale was going to be like. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions, from feeling tense throughout the journey within the chasm, happiness & giddiness at the the moments between Dawsyn & Ryon, as well as their found family & also angst & shock in certain moments on the second half of this book. This book made me feel everything, but the epilogue was by far my favorite part of this book & it left me staring at the wall, wanting to experience this series for the first time all over again.

Dawsyn had several challenges within her journey that tested not only her strength & endurance, but also her confidence & belief in herself. It was difficult for her to lead others & have that pressure of being depended on by so many in moments where she felt she needed guidance & reassurance herself. Her overall journey throughout the series is one that I’ve truly loved & it is one that has you feeling proud of the FMC once the story has reached its conclusion. It was bittersweet to say goodbye to her.

Ryon, this man stole my heart from the first book. He is so supportive & protective of those he holds dear & will lay it all down for them no matter what, regardless of what that would mean for him. Ryon overall is such a humble hero with a heart of gold, but the ability to tear you to shreds if needed. In this book, Ryon is once again facing those who wish to destroy all that he has fought so hard for & take away the one who he loves and has become a deeply ingrained part of him.

The stakes are higher than they’ve ever been & the odds are not in their favor. This final installment had some twists I did NOT see coming at all & an ending that leaves your heart feeling all the bittersweet emotions. Dawsyn, Ryon & their found family are characters I will keep with me forevermore. If you’re considering reading this book or series, I definitely recommend it! 💚

I am so excited to have been able to read the final installment of the Glacian trilogy. Stacey Mcewan has a gift for building tension in her stories. In fact, 3 different plot lines were all built and converged into one in a nail biting crescendo. I also love the way that she paints her characters. They grow, make mistakes, suffer consequences, and learn to deal with them. Dawsyn's character growth is particularly impressive. She is relatable in her empathy for others. The pain she feels in failure broke my heart for her. In a story built in fantasy, there are some real-world parallels about how people can be internally motivated and betray their friends for power or to achieve their own ends. Despite doing so, they have redeemable qualities and feel that their course of action is right. How we sometimes are the "bad guys" even when we do what we think is right.

When she shifts perspective, I thoroughly enjoy how Stacey alters her writing to match the characters' nature. There is a distinct difference in the thought patterns portrayed on the pages between characters such as Dawsyn or a character more like Queen Alvira. It gives the story a more concrete feel to see the thought processes of these characters. To realize that they truly believe in the actions they take and why they do so gives them life in a way that doesn't paint them into starkly defined roles. The queen believes she is doing the right thing by the kingdom, even if she is making absolutely awful decisions. She has redeemable qualities, such as loving her wife. It's still very easy to hate her while still appreciating the complexity of her character.

I really enjoyed this whole series. Ledge I think of all of them was my most favorite. But I loved how all the characters developed, beautiful fantasy. I love Ryon and Dawsyn!! But honestly I think my favorite characters were Esra and Salem they were hilarious and rounded everything out well. This book takes place immediately at the end of book 2, which I was so grateful for because the ending!! This kept me in the edge of my seat, Had to see how it ended. Great ending to a trilogy and can’t wait to see what else she writes.

I absolutely loved this series! What an amazing end to the epic adventure that Stacey has led us through during the entire Glacian Trilogy! I loved that Valley gave me the banter and heroism that I've come to love in this series, but also provided additional backstory information I wasn't expecting but didn't realize I needed. I think about halfway through this book I had a moment of, OMG, that had me googling trying to find out if my therory was correct.

What a conclusion to an epic trilogy! I had no idea where Valley was headed yet you best believe it surpassed all my expectations! I originally rated this novel 4.75 stars however I just can’t stop thinking about it!

I feel like I got whiplash from my own emotions, one moment I’m laughing, the next there’s tears, throw in a little shock and back to more tears.

The character development throughout this book and the whole series was top tier. The found family warmed my heart but also tore it apart. Hands down the most loveable and laughable side characters I have ever read, I caught myself absolutely cackling.

The enchanting writing really made you feel immersed in the story, like you were experiencing everything our ledgies were experiencing.

BUT THE TWISTS AND TURNS?!

Every crumb that Stacey dropped I gobbled that sh*t up and the hoovered back for more. I am sad to say goodbye to this world and these characters, but safe to say this trilogy has become one of my absolute favourites.

I really enjoyed Ledge and Chasm and this book tied off the trilogy really well. The writing style is so immersive and descriptive I felt like I was there. I love that this isn't your basic romantasy, there's so much more to the plot than romance.

Valley is the heart stopping conclusion to the truly unique 'Ledge' series. This was the brilliant finale the characters deserve. My heart hasn't stopped thumping since I finished. This trilogy goes beyond the usual romantasy with characters that will forever have a warm place in my heart. Dawsyn and Ryon face the prospect of finally freeing the inhabitants of the ledge, but of course, nothing goes to plan. They face threats from vengeful gods, power mad monarchs, as well as an unknown illness running rife through the ledge dwellers.
Dawsyn is a truly wonderful character. Yes, she's a strong female, but her flaws make her real. I adore the fact that she's direct and straightforward. There's an abundance of sarky, sassy female leads who seem to be carbon copies of each other, but Dawsyn has a rawness that makes her feel true and unique.
The first half of this did drag a bit but the second half more than made up for it. This is a brilliant trilogy, filled with adventure, magic and romance. I've enjoyed this so much.

For more than three years I have followed Stacey McEwan's journey with this series and I can honestly say my heart is broken for it to come to a close--but what an amazing conclusion it is!! What can I saw that hasn't been said? This trilogy contained so much and this third book lacked nothing in my opinion. I absolutely loved the tie in with all the characters and that this story was still about Dawsyn and her connections, but it was also so much more about Ryon and his origin as well (can we all have a moment to sob for Thaddius and Farra please? I may never recover). I still cannot believe this was a debut series for McEwan and I went from being someone who loved supporting someone who was a content creator to author into a true fan who will auto-buy anything she writes. Thank you to those who I had to hunt down for access to this! It meant the world.

Valley is the third and final novel instalment in the new adult fantasy romance trilogy, The Glacian Trilogy. After escaping the harrowing Ledge, uncovering the dark secrets of the land below, and returning to save her people, Dawsyn finds herself in the Chasm below with her people to find a new place...except they're doing this on a gamble. With a finite amount of resources and her powers depleted, they may not survive the journey. Add in the new King of Glacia and Queen Alvira are out for Dawsyn's blood and the stakes are high. Secrets can make or break their journey going forward...so will they find the valley below?

This was the ending I needed for this series.

Dawsyn is still our fierce and feral protagonist and in this book we see her at her lowest and highest. She is a leader and cares for her people above her own safety. Her struggle to protect them as well as deal with their personalities takes a toll on her. I adored how we see her approach others for support as it marks a transition in her as she realizes she can turn to others and listen to them. It doesn't make her weak, it makes her more powerful.

Ryon stole my heart. He was the support Dawsyn desperately needed to help keep her strength amidst what felt hopeless at times. His casual touches to show his support and love had me in a chokehold. He loves Dawsyn so much and he knows she does him - that confidence in their connection meant he was able to see them as equals and fight alongside her. I also was surprised by a few twists for Ryon's journey that really shake his world...but Dawsyn is able to be to support he was for her and that just had me by the heartstrings.

I also want to acknowledge the few other POVs we got in this book that surprised me. We get to explore different perspectives and flashbacks that help us understand the greater world and lore that I felt really fleshed out the world some more as well as give it closure. I was truly impressed how much I enjoyed these additional storylines. They are rich and emotional and stand on their own.

In terms of spice, this book is about 2 spicy peppers out of 5 spicy peppers. The spice occurs towards the second half of the book and consists of maybe 2 scenes across two different POVs. I found the spice to be well written and not super detailed, with more of a focus on the connection and love between characters. I appreciated the build up to these moments as a slow journey. Given what is occurring in the novel, spice is not a priority initially but the romance that happens leading up made it so rewarding.

I highly recommend you refresh yourself before reading before you start this book as there are references and names that will show up again and they reveal some VERY interesting things. It took me a moment to remember and I loved the twists. The first half of this book had this interesting psychological element to it as the Ledge people, Dawyn, and company try to keep it together despite not knowing what will happen. There is an additional POV that focuses on the past and two others that are giving context of what is happening elsewhere to help shake things up. The second half of the book ups the tension with a looming conflict and there are risks, reveals, and betrayal that really keep you going. I loved the growth we saw with the characters in this instalment and the amount of risk that comes with it. There is loss, there is a sense of despair, but also hope. The ending really provides such a satisfactory feeling as it all comes together. It was a true reward...I just hope Stacey gives us some fun slices of life chapters in the future because I am not done with these characters.

Valley is a true treasure that brings an end to this harrowing fantasy romance and it was so worth it.

I write this with tears freshly streaming down my face, what a perfect ending to a magical series.

The final instalment of the Glacian Trilogy is hands down my favourite of all 3 books in the series. I read this book in one sitting, I couldn't put it down.

The character development we get in this is amazingly thorough. I especially loved the details we learn about the queens! The author is able to seamlessly showcase the complexities of each character and highlight how no one character is inherently good or bad. They are all flawed in certain aspects. There were even times I was empathising with the villains, that's how well we got to know all the characters in this final book.

Valley had me on the edge of my seat for it's entirety! Without giving too much away there is one particular scene that had me reeling! The whiplash! My emotions went from relief to horror so quickly.

The author took us on such an incredible journey, I feel so lucky I got to experience this world and it will be a series I recommend to everyone.
