I really questioned whether or not to request this book. The description was intriguing, so with hesitation I went for it. As I have always been told, go with your first instinct. My apologies to the author, but for me, it seemed a bit all over the place. The author tells of her experiences from Native American sweat lodges to art classes in dark rooms with only a tiny window. I found her experiences in other places getting lost in the narrative. With so many other bits and pieces, I didn't know if I was coming or going, but I couldn't wait to leave. This book was just not for me. I am looking forward to reading reviews from other members who did enjoy it. I thank NetGalley and Atmosphere Press for the advance read.
