Over the Edge is the second entry in the Undaunted Courage series. It however can be read as a standalone. Ms. Hannon has written a page turner! The characters are believable and the action starts right away. The reader is taken on a bullet ride where the person who is responsible for the murder is kept until the very end. Readers who like suspenseful romance books will not be disappointed. Over the Edge was this reader’s introduction to Ms. Hannon and can’t wait to go back and read previous books while anxiously awaiting for the next entry in the series.

I received an ARC ebook from NetGalley and the publisher, Revell in exchange for an honest review.

This book blew me away. I was totally surprised who was behind the murder and what was happening to personal chef Lindsey Barnes. After witnessing a killer leaving the scene of a murder, Lindsey gets pulled into a murder inquiry. Even with the few details that she can share with the police, weird things start happening to her. Police detective Jack Tucker starts to wonder about her reliability as a witness. I received a free copy of this from the publisher through Netgalley. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. There is plenty of suspense and action in this book. The ending kept me on the edge of my seat. I look forward to the next book in this series.

After reading the first book in the Undaunted Courage series, Into the Fire, I have been waiting, none to patiently, to read Jack Tucker's story. Irene Hannon has told a fantastic, riveting story in Over the Edge. 5 stars!

Readers will be on the edge of their seats as Lindsey and Jack try to solve this murder mystery all while Lindsey tries to maintain her sanity. Hannon is a master of the twist and turns that had me guessing up until the very end.

It's amazing to me how well Hannon switches from suspense in the Fall to contemporary romance in the Spring. Her books in both genres always make my favorite books of the year list.

Now I'll be in suspense again, waiting for sister Cara's story next Fall, but in the meantime, I already have the next book in the Hope Harbor series on my April must read list. I appreciate Revell Publishers making a copy of Over the Edge available for review. All thoughts and opinions are my very own.

“Sometimes there was a fine line between perseverance and stubbornness.” But stubbornness is a trait that gets Lindsay out of a tough situation. She is recovering from trauma months ago and finds herself the sole witness to a murder scene as the culprit exits the house. Ms Hannon once again puts her heroine through the ringer. Lindsay starts questioning what she has seen when someone targets her psychologically. With the help of Jack Turner, a St. Louis County cop, they try to piece together clues to find a murderer.
Full of mind games and thrilling scenes, i read this book in record time. With many suspects to choose from, I was kept guessing until the reveal. The characters were relatable and had depth. The plot was mesmerizing. I always enjoy books set in St. Louis where I lived for 20 years.
As always, Ms. Hannon writes excellent romantic suspense with a solid faith thread to encourage readers.

Readers who enjoy suspense will love this book! This fast paced story is filled with twists and turns that will lead readers to wonder about Lindsay’s sanity. The instigators behind this plot will surprise Lindsay as Detective Jack Tucker searches for answers in this well crafted story. Although this is second in the Undaunted Courage series, it can be read as a stand-alone. Highly recommended!

The suspense starts at the beginning of the book, ramps up its intensity as the story continues and ends with a surprise revelation that includes even more suspense. This is a perfectly well-written romantic suspense, with characters that are relatable and flawed as well as totally believable. Lindsey Barnes is a personal chef who is in the wrong place at the wrong time and ends up being the only eyewitness to a home invasion murder. Detective Jack Tucker is the lead investigator who has difficulty at first believing Lindsey’s account of what happened and presses her to remember more details so that he has more to go on on order to catch a killer. The story continues with part of Lindsey’s backstory and why she doesn’t particularly trust the police and especially Jack. Fascinating details here! There is a secondary story of a handyman who was at the site of the murder and who is Jack’s first suspect. The author does an expert job of weaving the storylines together, including Lindsey’s need for counseling, her past trauma and Jack’s past as well. This book was hard to put down and an engrossing read with a compelling mystery that begged to be solved. I must confess that I love mystery and suspense and read them a lot, but the surprise revelation in this one had me gasping and loving the story even more. With a fast pace, characters who beg for a good resolution and twists that I never saw coming, this moves up to the top of my list of best romantic suspense books this year.

"Over the Edge" is a Christian romantic suspense novel. Though the second book in the series, it works as a standalone. The characters were likable and reacted realistically to events. Suspense was created by someone messing with Lindsey to discredit her as the sole witness of the suspected murderer (though she didn't see very much of use). Jack and Lindsey initially kept each other at a distance emotionally. Jack's birth mother had mental problems, so he didn't want to get involved with someone who might have similar problems. Lindsey felt Jack hadn't accepted her friend for who she was but pushed her to do something he liked that turned out to be dangerous. Since her parents also pushed her toward careers she didn't care for, she was worried Jack might not be willing to accept her for who she was. However, they came to care for each other as they spent time together and got to know each other.

There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this interesting suspense novel.

Over the edge by Irene Hannon is a captivating book with lots of twist and turns. There is wonderful storyline with great characters, whom I fell in love with. "Over the Edge" was one of many great books by this author. I'm excited about the next book she has published. I would like to thank the author, publisher and Net valley for allowing me to read this advanced copy.

I have always enjoyed books by this author and this was no exception. A mystery of some lost memories-the important ones to know who the bad guy is. I found the story believable and liked the characters. I would recommend this book to anyone one who likes some suspense thrown in with some romance. I was having trouble guessing “who did it”. I was given this book to review.

“Over The Edge” took me over the edge, submerging me into the story.

Jack is my kind of hero, dedicated, brave, and a little bit flawed. He has his share of baggage. He didn’t let it hold him back from his job, but once he meets Lindsey he’s pulled back and forth between attraction and caution. The things she’s dealing with hit too close to home to jump in with both feet, but maybe he could dip a toe into the water.

Lindsey thinks she has a reason to distrust Jack, the detective assigned to investigate the murder case where she’s a witness. As he works the case her perceptions begin to change but her past trauma keeps rising up to interfere with what might grow between them.

The action starts right from the beginning and keeps on coming, but I still found it hard to push through to the end. Somehow the pace was slow in the midst of all that was happening. Despite this I’m glad I finished the book. The ending was a surprise and the romance sweet.

I was given a copy through NetGalley courtesy of Revell. This is my honest opinion of the book.

Hannon delivers a fast paced, suspense filled thriller in the second book of the Undaunted Courage series! Full of twists and turns that keep you guessing until the end taking the story in a completely unexpected turn makes it hard to put down. Delightful characters, both new and old, help you want to snuggle in and never leave the company of the book. Undercurrents of romance, mystery, and never ending danger are just a few of the things that kept me captivated.

This could easily be read as a stand alone, but do yourself a favor and also read book one. I loved getting to know Jack and his story. I find the storyline of the three adopted foster siblings rising above their circumstances, but not without a few scars, fascinating. I can’t wait for book three and sister, Cara’s story.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

RIVETING TALE OF MISCHIEF, MAYHEM, AND MURDER!

Author Irene Hannon is back with Book 2 in her Undaunted Courage Series, and Over the Edge should not be missed! She brings readers a riveting tale of malicious mischief, mayhem, and murder. She creates an atmosphere of suspense that will keep you on guard as you read each page of this book! My favorite thing about Hannon’s writing is how the suspense triggers the romance. The romance is a slow burn, and seeing how Hannon weaves it into her plot is always interesting.

Lindsey Barnes is a trauma survivor who is now the sole witness to another murder, and she thinks someone is trying to kill her because of it. Police detective Jack Turner does not know how to handle this witness or this case because there is no evidence behind her claims. Is Lindsey psychotic? Someone is going to a lot of trouble, making it appear that she is. Yet, Jack believes in her innocence. They must work together to prove who is trying to make her look insane. Hannon writes an excellent description of Lindsey’s good deed that turns into a kidnapping and cat-and-mouse search for her. Will Lindsey be clever enough to leave a clue for Jack? Will Jack know where to look for a clue? Please read this intriguing new release to find the answers to these questions and enjoy a thoroughly entertaining book. I highly recommend it!

Revell and NetGalley provided me with a complimentary copy of this book. However, my opinions are entirely my own and uninfluenced.

Irene Hanson is the Queen of Mystery and Suspense but this plot line just seemed predictable. There needed to be something unexpected that happened and that gave a plot twist.

I have read most of Irene Hannon's books. She is an amazing Christian suspense writer! I will continue to read anything she sees fit to publish!

Over the Edge is book two in the Undaunted Courage series but it does fine as a stand alone novel. Lindsey Barnes carries a lot of baggage and has experienced her share of trauma. She faithfully sees a therapist and is slowly recovering well. One day when she goes to a client's house to prepare meals for the week, she witnesses the aftermath of a murder.
From that point on, someone is worried about what she might remember. A series of accidents and near misses leave Lindsey wondering if she is finally losing her mind! Her male counterpart is Detective Jack Tucker. Jack has a history with Lindsey's deceased friend and Lindsey is wary of him. But she needs him to be in her corner if she is to escape the terror that always seem to be waiting for her.

I enjoyed Over the Edge very much! Any fans of Lynette Eason, Terri Blackwell or Nancy Mehl will like it too! I highly recommend!

The second in the series and I loved this as much as the first. Definitely looking forward to the third. Irene Hannon Christian suspense books are auto buys for me, as I reread them. I was blessed with a free ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review. The suspense was fast paced and heart pounding. The sweet, clean romance was secondary. High faith content. Both of the main characters have had so much trauma in their lives and this some baggage. I was completely surprised by the villains. I did have my suspicions, but wasn’t positive.

How much can trauma mess with your mind? What is real, and who will believe what can't be proven? Lesley starts to doubt herself, but Jack doesn't give up.
As typical for Irene Hannon this novel is more love story than thriller, but there's still enough suspense to keep you guessing.

Lindsey Barnes is our featured character and you’ll really like her, but it seems all the odds are stacked against this poor girl. She is a personal chef, trying to make it in a competitive world. The story begins as Lindsey lets herself in to the very elegant kitchen of one of her customers. She is there to retrieve her expensive and essential knife roll she left there the night before. Lindsey has permission to let herself in only with her picky client, Heidi’s very specific and strict conditions, so she knows the disarm code. This time as she enters, the alarm is not set. That’s weird. Here Lindsey’s mounting troubles begin with a terrifying discovery, in the kitchen.

Lindsey’s past has afforded her more than her fair share of trauma and she is struggling to move forward with the help of her counsellor, Oliver. But instead, her life becomes increasingly more difficult as she discovers she’s trapped in the crosshairs of a ruthless killer of a high profile victim. She is the sole witness, making her a deadly target.

St. Louis County Detective Jack Tucker, is with the County Crimes Against Persons Bureau. He investigating the murder working to uncover the real killer. At this point the prime suspect is Lindsey! In the meantime, strange , to sand unexplained events occur all centered around Lindsey. She, herself and others begin to question if what she’s reporting is the truth or a figment of her imagination. Even this reader wondered if the girl was losing it. Still I pulled for her throughout the book.

You will like the character of Jack as well. He has his own issues and also has a traumatic backstory which make him sensitive to Lindsey’s mental health. Nevertheless, must remain neutral despite his heart telling him to give in. Enter the romantic side of the story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book of forgiveness, trust and recognizing the power of love all based on reliance on God and prayers.

There were breath holding times as well as a few dry spells in the novel. I highly recommend Over the Edge.
I’m an avid reader of suspense and love when an author is able to write unique situations that come as big surprises.

Another great suspense from Hannon. I love that Lindsey was a personal chef! This made for a unique perspective. Just a really great series by Hannon. I just wish the books came out a little closer to each other. It feels like a long wait between novels & I start to forget the story...
