Told from multiplePOVs and all set in one night, this is relatively well paced and has the bones of a great story. Definitely the kind of book to make you *think*, but nothing groundbreaking and not particularly swoon-worthy for a romance read. It's overall just okay!

The story is told in one night. The various storylines drew me in, and I truly liked the variety of characters. I liked how Reekles interacted with different characters. My personal favourite was From Enemies to Lovers, but that's because it's one of my favourite tropes. Overall, I found the book to be enjoyable.
Thank You to NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group Uk for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this eARC of 'The Reunion' by Beth Reekles.
I have only read one other Beth Reekles novel and sadly 'The Reunion' didn't impact me as much as that one did. I didn't really like the characters and although I adored the concept, my lack of enjoyment for the mcs tainted anything I would have gained from the story.

"The Reunion" by Beth Reekles is a compelling and nostalgic young adult novel that delves into the complexities of friendships, relationships, and the passage of time.
The story centers around Rochelle "Roo" Richardson, who returns to her hometown of Ashleigh Falls for her high school reunion after ten years. As Roo reconnects with old friends and faces unresolved feelings from her past, she finds herself reflecting on the choices she's made and the person she has become.
Beth Reekles skillfully captures the nostalgia and emotional weight of reunions, portraying the characters' reflections on their teenage years and the impact of their decisions on their present lives. Roo is a relatable protagonist, grappling with insecurities and uncertainties about her career and relationships, while also confronting unresolved feelings for her former crush, Oliver.
The dynamics between Roo and her friends are portrayed with authenticity and depth, showcasing the complexities of long-standing friendships and the bonds that endure over time. Reekles explores themes of forgiveness, acceptance, and personal growth as Roo navigates her interactions with old acquaintances and confronts her own insecurities.
The romance in "The Reunion" unfolds with a mix of sweetness and tension, as Roo and Oliver navigate their complicated history and evolving feelings for each other. The author deftly portrays their chemistry and emotional connection, allowing their relationship to develop organically amidst the backdrop of the reunion festivities.

I loved this book! The story followed 6 different characters, I was worried it might get a bit confusing but it didn’t. The story flowed really well and it was easy to understand and connect with the characters.
There was so many different tropes going on in this; enemies to lovers, friends to lovers to friends, single dad, miss popular. I think I really enjoyed this story as well because it was my age group so I do feel like I connected with them more because of this. There were parts in this that made me laugh out loud as well as being a tear to my eye. Overall, it was an addictive read that I highly enjoyed.

Another brilliant read from Beth Reekles. I lover her style of writing. Some brilliant characters in this and I loved the story. It really hooked you in

Beth Reekles is such a good author if you're looking to get into romance.
I'm not a spicy romance reader and for this this book was just. the right amount of plot, tension and spice. I loved the plot of a school reunion and the different types of characters coming back together. It felt genuine and I could imagine some of these scenarios actually happening. I also appreciated the differences of the characters - one not wanting kids, another happy with their life despite what others might think,
The whole book is set over 1 evening which I didn't know if the pace would keep up but it did. There were a few parts I wasn't as interested in but that is inevitable which such a huge amount of POVs. At the beginning it was hard to keep track of everyone including the side characters we didn't have POVs for, but after a few chapters from the same people I got the hang of it.
Overall this is a nice read if you're after a quick romance.

I loved this book. I thought all the characters were great and I could imagine exactly who from my school was portrayed in each of them! Totally realistic. I enjoyed the multiple storylines too. This book just ticked every box for me.

What a fun read this was! Loved the setting of a ten year high school reunion, and especially enjoyed how the book was set over one night, The reunion is the story of six couples coming to terms with how their life has planned out in the decade since they finished school, compared to the kind of life they thought they’d be living at this stage. My favourite couple was Ashleigh and Ryan, former rivals who now find themselves infuriatingly drawn to each other. It was nice to get the story from so many different characters POV’s and easy enough to follow. All in all, a really enjoyable read that I’m sure we’ll see snapped up by Netflix soon! Thanks Netgalley and the publisher.

This was like being immersed in my school reunion, all the cliches and all the angst and fun. The man characters were great, and the book juggled between them smoothly. The nerves and butterflies were well explained along with the actions and reactions. This was a little bit mad and clumsy and all the better for it.

Beth Reekles’ “The Reunion” is an engaging enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity romance that captivated me from the start.
The story revolves around six old friends reuniting ten years after their high school graduation, each carrying secrets and unresolved feelings.
The standout storyline is the fiery dynamic between Ashleigh and Ryan, former rivals whose chemistry ignites during a power outage at their reunion. Their witty banter and intense interactions are a highlight, making it impossible to put the book down.
Reekles skillfully delves into each character’s life, exploring their insecurities and emotional baggage with depth and sensitivity. The power cut scene is particularly memorable, filled with tension and unexpected moments of vulnerability as well as releasing so much of that pent up energy 🔥
Overall, “The Reunion” offers a delightful mix of romance, humor, and nostalgia. It’s like watching a favorite show unfold on the page. This was my first read by the author even if I watched the tv shows , but it won’t be my last.

A fair four-star read. I don’t know if it was me as I was expecting so much from this story, as I have loved their previous writing, but this one just took me so long to get into that by the time I did I was half over the story. The nostalgia was strong with this story, and that did sweep me up and take me on a trip with it, especially as I still remember my ten year reunion and even another one that followed, they were not as fun as this story that’s for certain.

I was ensnared by the premise of this novel when I saw this on netgalley and formed expectations. I was hoping to be met when I got into it.
Long story short, it didn't give me that. The characters don't have that much depth, probably because of the multiple perspectives' writing, something that isn't well written.
Overall, I would say I was disappointed.

Another great rom-com from the author of The Kissing Booth.
I originally read The Kissing Booth when it was on wattpad and I made sure to pick up each of her books since, this one is not to be missed.
It's refreshing to read and I can completely relate to the terrifying notion of a school reunion 10 years after leaving. In my school year we don't have a Bryony to sort it all out for us.
There is so much that goes on during school, going from spending 7 ish hours a day, 5 days a week together to nothing creates a completely different dynamic. You try to remember the things that happen and the people you were way back when. Peoples memories may be different to your own, those moments may have affected them differently and how they felt at that time.
It does make me want a reunion with my year, I sure we could cause as much drama as this lot.
Highly recommend picking this up for a fun read, or wait for the netflix version because I think so many people would relate to this and the feelings it brings out!
Thank you NetGalley and Sphere for my eARC!

This is told over the course of one night. I really enjoyed the different characters and the different storylines are what hooked me. I enjoyed the was Reekles switched between characters. The enemies to lovers was my personal fav but that is probably because that is my favourite trope. I enjoyed the book as a whole. Thank you for the arc in exchange for my honest opinions

Told over the course of one night, at a ten year high school reunion, The Reunion is a punchy, engaging and heartwarming read.
I loved the variety of characters, and the alternating POVs. The various storyline’s hooked me in, and the authors easy writing style made following the different threads effortless. I particularly enjoyed the way the character perspectives were switched mid-situation, which felt really unique.
Ashley and Ryan were easily my favourite couple, and the enemies to lovers- forced proximity storyline really heightened their chemistry. Overall the story perfectly captured mixed feelings of nostalgia, regret, perspective, friendship, and hope for the future that are triggered when you bring together now near strangers who had spent such intensive and formative years together.
Thank you Little, Brown Book Group UK and NetGalley for a copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.

Very grateful to the publisher for this copy, opinions are my own

I struggled to get into this one. I love Reekles’ writing and how her characters are so believable, this particular story just wasn’t the one for me. I found the characters less likeable when you weren’t in their pov and I became less interested in them. My favourite character of the story was Hayden, he seemed the most mature of the group. I found that Reekles captured the feeling of nostalgia really well throughout the story.
