I haven't read a full book in English for quite awhile, so I was a bit nervous I wouldn't enjoy it as much, but Melissa's writing is so smooth and beautiful that I sat down and read it all at once.

I fell in love since the first word.

I was able to feel every emotion the characters felt as if I was living it with them, sharing the same room as them. I laughed, I cried, I got nervous and tense, I was in awe of every romantic scene.

Trying not to give many spoilers, I'll say I loved Tiffany and Ethan not only as a couple but mostly at individual characters. I love how they're flawed and imperfect as all of us and that them growing up from it.

I love how we see the past alongside the present, letting us understand Tiffany better and deeply.

I was excited and thrilled through every chapter.

Also, there's a lot of Taylor Swift references and beautiful art works 🥹🥹🥹

It has all the good tropes: enemies to lovers, workplace romance, forced proximity, one bed, mafia, reverse grumpy x sunshine, he falls first & harder tbh, nightmare trope and slow burn ❤️‍🔥

I can't wait to read anything and everything Dr. Melissa writes! We still have so much to see and explore here!

This was a cute, fun read! I loved the slow burn romance and was giggling and kicking my feet the entire time. Ethan is the biggest green flag and his patience and love for Tiffany was so pure. I loved the closure at the end. Also the subtle Taylor Swift hidden lyrics were perfect

PAGING DR. HART (eARC)
Pub date: 17.06.24
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dr. Melissa Dymond

Suspenful romances are slowly becoming a serious contender of favourite genre, especially when they’re written this well. I spent the entire book trying to figure out the villain and what they were going to do to her. I feel like this book gave me so much satisfaction for when I read regular romances and my own intrusive thoughts kick in, it was so good to be actually waiting for something bad to happen.

We follow Dr. Tiffany Hart in her present life as a doctor and her past that she keeps very hidden! The snippets of Tiffany’s past, literally had me holding my breath or my heart in my throat. We learn that she’s a survivor and has every right to keep herself distanced from everyone but slowly she learns how to open her heart again, to Ethan.

Ethan, another perfect book boyfriend that I’ll hold against my husband and be disappointed 😂 it was very much he falls first & harder, man does that do something crazy inside of me! Their banter together plus Tiffany’s angst and reserve make for the best slow burn romance.

Thank you NetGalley & Dr. Melissa Dymond for allowing me to read this advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review.

Paging Dr Hart is Dr Melissa Dymond’s second novel, and I just had to get my hands on a copy! I love Melissa’s writing so, so much! I knew it when I read her first book, Holiday Star, and this book has cemented her as an auto buy author for me!

The story follows Tiffany (a radiology resident) and Ethan (a new transfer), who meet for the first time under less than ideal circumstances, only to find out she has to spend her time mentoring him.

Tiffany’s difficult and traumatic younger years are shown in flashbacks throughout the book, and the way Melissa connected them to the present day story was absolutely amazing. I felt like I was reading two stories at the same time, and it shows how easily the past can still affect us.

While Tiffany struggles to get close to people and wants nothing to do with Ethan at first, it’s not long before he’s winning her over with his words as well as his actions. I loved way they grow together as a couple and the suspense in the story left me on the edge of my seat!

You can buy this book as a sweet closed-door romance, or a spicy open-door version. Both versions are available on Kindle Unlimited so make sure you double-check which version you’d prefer!

Melissa will also be donating 10% of proceeds to cancer research, just like she did with Holiday Star!

This book was a mix of funny, thrilling, lovey and romcom. I enjoyed the back and forth between the past and present, and how the characters developed over time. It was such a sweet story, which had me at the edge of my seat, and kept my turning the pages. The Best surprise was that there may be an actual series with Dr. Hart, and I'm here for all of it!!! I give this book 4 stars!

I absolutely loved this book!

My review:

Overall, this book felt like I was reading a Grey's Anatomy / Netflix romcom / Lifetime Mystery hybrid with an enemies-to-lovers trope, and I’m definitely not mad about it!

The characters Tiffany and Ethan had me cackling while reading with her passive-aggressive comments and his flirty, overly-confident remarks, and I absolutely loved the two of them together. The close proximity arc in Cleveland (especially the balcony scenes) and the Disney World trip was so fluffy-goofy-adorable, I absolutely loved their dynamic and was kicking my feet and giggling with every interaction.

Favorite line: “You’re no ice queen. You’re pure fire.” ✨SWOON✨

The overall suspense and the flashbacks putting together the pieces of her past had me on the edge of my seat the entire read.

But, my absolute favorite element of this book by far was the subtle (and sometimes not so subtle, but it was absolutely perfect) T-Swift lyric references - my inner swiftie was beyond thrilled to engage in this easter egg hunt💛

My only complaint about reading this book was that outside of the dialogue (which was so darn cute) the descriptive writing sometimes felt a little choppy and at times wasn’t the smoothest read. But I do love the fresh story, the characters, and the ending!

This was so difficult to put down. This book explored the notions of the dark past, letting go of the mistakes in the past for a better future.

I just expected it to be another medical romance, but boy, was I so wrong. Ethan and Tiffany hit close to home because of their past and dark secrets. Tiffany is strong and grumpy, but Ethan comes with sunshine, energy, and a fun personality. I loved both of them so much!

The dual timeline explores Tiffany's past and present, and my heart sank every time I read about her past, but my heart fluttered every time Ethan-Greenest-Flag-Clarke entered and helped her. I love romances with suspense and this book had a lot! I love the standout feature of the option to choose between an open-door and closed-door version of the story. As a fan of closed-door narratives, this was a delightful surprise that enhanced my reading experience.
Melissa's writing style effortlessly blends romance with suspense, making it a page-turner that you just can't put down. I'm just waiting for the sequel 🤩
For those who enjoy a good mix of emotional depth, heartwarming moments, and a dash of mystery, this book is a must-read.

This book me thinking it was just a cheesy romance when I began it but it had so much more going on, there was a mystery, betrayal, heartbreak and a tragic story of a girl trying to make the world a bette replace after she he tough life she grew up knowing, I like how relatable the characters are especially her and Ethan. I expected a huge twist with him but I’m actually glad he was strong for her. I am not sure how I feel about the secret revealed in the end where it leaves you wondering who dear daddy is but I look forward to finding out who this man is that would burn down the world to find his daughter.

Loved it! I didn't know what to expect while reading this book but I was so surprised (in a good way!) with the plot!
In a way it almost turned into a romantic suspense!
There were so many plot twists and I was hooked from the start.
The book switches between Tiffany's past and present.
The characters were so likable, and with learning about Tiffany's past you really end up feeling for her. And Ethan Clark was everything! He was everything Tiffany needed and more. He showed her he would always be there for her and was so protective. He was so refreshing after learning about Tiffany's past too.

This book comes in a sweet and spicy version.

I really enjoyed it!
Loved all the tropes, I think it was balanced well.
Felt abit rushed at the end with a few loose ends but that’s got me hooked! Can’t wait to read more from this author and this series.

Ethan is such a sweet Bookboyfriend ❤️ and really like Tiffany is the main FMC. Really likeable characters overall.

Dr. Tiffany Hart is known as the Ice Queen at the hospital but when she meets Dr. Ethan Clark, she is thrown off balance. Whilst he might seem arrogant and annoying, Tiffany finds him attractive, not only because he is incredibly handsome but he goes out of his way with her. Ethan has come from a long line of famous doctors but he wants to forge his own path. When he meets Tiffany, the attraction is instantaneous. When Ethan and Tiffany return to his home hospital and then to a medical conference at Disney World, they’re forced to share close quarters. Yet, Tiffany’s past is catching up with her and threatens not only their romance but possibly her safety.
This is a book that is far deeper than the cover presents. The mystery behind the anonymous text messages gave an uneasy feeling to this story. Whilst the romance between Ethan and Tiffany gradually blooms, the tension around Tiff’s past took this story to another level. I was captivated from the start. I loved reading the story told with Tiffany in her past, and her present day. Each of the secondary characters were fascinating including Mr Chen and her mother. This is definitely an author that I will be looking out for.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Paging Dr. Hart has it all!

💙Exciting storyline

💙Thrilling backstory

💙Mysterious texts

💙Hunky doctor MMC

💙Fiery & smart doctor FMC

💙Slow-burning chemistry

I was completely fascinated with Tiffany and Ethan’s story and equally invested in discovering Tiffany’s mysterious and heartbreaking backstory.

The characters are easily relatable. The storyline is exciting and a little bit dangerous. The book left me with so many questions! I must know what happens next!

This is the second book I’ve read by the author and I am a total fangirl! Dr. Dymond’s stories are beautifully and purposefully written. The characters are thoughtfully created and easily relatable. Her storylines are fun, funny, heartfelt and wonderfully entertaining. I’m ready for the next book!

I really enjoyed this story! It's a contemporary medical romance with suspense & it's told from Dr Tiffany Hart's pov. There's flashbacks throughout of her past spanning from childhood to adult that slowly reveal what made her into the person that she is today which has garnered her the nickname of Ice Queen from her peers. Now, things from her past threaten to interfere with her present & derail everything that she has worked hard to build. But can she figure out what's going on in time before it all explodes around her?

In addition to dealing with all of that, Dr Ethan Clark comes crashing onto the scene. He won my heart from the very beginning! He's the quintessential golden retriever MMC. He falls first & harder even though the chemistry between the two was there from the beginning & there's nothing he won't do when it comes to Tiffany. The sunshine to her grumpy "Ice Queen" nature. He fights for her in more ways than one, takes care of her throughout & does everything you would expect of a perfect book boyfriend. (Swoon) Add in a fun trip to Disney World, a sweet blossoming love story, numerous side stories to become immersed in & side characters to be intrigued by and you've got the makings of a great read!

I highly recommend checking this one out!! It comes in your choice of two different spice levels:

💗a sweet, closed door version &
🌶a spicy, open door version

...so that everyone can feel comfortable reading it.

A big thanks to the author & NetGalley for providing me an ARC to review! It's been a pleasure & looking forward to reading more!
This is my honest review.

This was not what I was expecting when I thought of a medical romance, Though I really liked what the author did with the story. This made me smile and very sad at times. This is a very relatable story with a lot of ups and downs and seeing how our Main character changed and what kind of stress she had on her even at a young age.

I was expecting "just" a romance, but this book turned out to be so much more. Tiffany's past, which is one timeline, is displayed in depth and with emotions riding high. It wasn't an easy life and nothing was spared in the telling. Tiffany has a stiff back bone and you know why after her past is totally explored.

The other timeline explores her life as a radiology resident. She is pretty lonely on the island she has created for herself. Then along comes Ethan. He's someone she is supposed to help train, but he calls her on a mistake almost from the very first meeting and her hackles are raised. There is something there between them, but she's holding him at arm's length and he is such a great guy that he respects that.

Ethan really is a great guy. There is so little about him to dislike and Tiffany has to eventually see that. But has she kept the secrets of her past from him for so long that he won't be able to forgive her?

This really was a fantastic book!

Thanks to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the copy. All thoughts are my own.

I loved the multiple stories happening in this book. Not only did you have the growing love story with Ethan and Tiffany, but there is also a journey about growing up, overcoming your past and making amends.

Present day mixing with the past to tell Tiffany’s story was really well done. I felt for her and everything she went through trying to help her family stay afloat while trying to make sure she accomplished her dreams as well.

There were some really suspenseful moments in this book that I wasn’t expecting. I really enjoyed it!

Thank to NetGalley and Melissa Dymond for the ARC!

I was so surprised by this book! I absolutely loved it! It was my best read of the month.
I started reading it thinking it was just a romance novel, but I was pleasantly surprised by the suspense and mystery that kept me hooked the whole time. There are two versions available: one with spicy scenes, which is the one I read, and another version with kissing only, which is sweet.
Tiffany is a complex character with a difficult past, which we learn about through flashback chapters. These chapters were very emotional and kept me completely captivated. I loved seeing how her past connected with her present and how she grew as a person throughout the story.
Ethan is a refreshing character who brought a lot of humor to the story. He made me smile several times throughout the book, and I loved the chemistry he had with Tiffany.
I don't want to say too much about them and their relationship so I don't spoil anything. But I really loved both of them, they are relatable and well-developed.
The setting of the book was also excellent. I've been to Las Vegas, but the Las Vegas that the author described was different. I felt like I was transported there, and I even got goosebumps in several scenes. I loved the contrast between the present and past chapters. Also love the other settings, one in particular.
The suspense and mystery were perfectly balanced with the romance, and I found myself making theories and connecting clues. I couldn't put the book down!
The book has several surprises, including many references to Taylor Swift songs. I like the writing style of Melissa.
I had the opportunity to chat with the author via DM and tell her my reactions to the book, my theories, and where I think the story could go. I hope to read more about this world and its characters in the future.
Towards the end, it was impossible to stop reading!
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a romantic suspense novel that will keep them hooked and on the edge of their seat! Can't wait to read more of this author.
Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. All thoughts are my own, and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

I couldn’t put it down !
Paging Dr. Hart was beautifully written and skillfully balanced between past and present, allowing us to witness the growth and evolution of its complex characters. It’s was my second book from Dr. Melissa Dymond and i have to commend her on her ability to make me feel what her characters are feeling.

The relationship between Tiffany and Ethan is portrayed with honesty and depth, providing a refreshing contrast to the heavier themes explored in Tiffany's past.
Ethan emerges as a beacon of light and devotion, beautifully complementing Tiffany's journey (it felt so good to come back to him after a few chapters in Tiffany’s past)
The bonus chapter from his perspective offers a delightful insight into his unwavering affection for Tiffany.
And Ethan's nickname for Tiffany adds an extra layer of sweetness to their relationship.

I can only advise you to read this book !

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
🌶️

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Tiffany and Ethan are grumpy/sunshine goodness, and Ethan is basically a walking green flag with how patient he is with Tiffany and how he cared for her even when she was trying to push him away. Tiffany didn’t have the easiest life growing up, so it was hard for her to trust that people had the right intentions. She was closed off and impersonal and never really let people get to know her. With Ethan, she kind of knew right early on that he was going to be a bigger part of her life but didn’t want to fall for him and have him leave. Tiffany and Ethan begin working with each other, and every day, Ethan shows her the kind of man he is, from being there for her through tough nightmares to making sure she has creamer for her coffee. They get sent to work on a project and end up sharing an apartment. They grow extremely close during this time, and Tiffany debates telling him about her past. We get to see flashbacks of Tiffany from when she was a young child, to when she was eighteen and we see how hard her life is and how it led to why she is the way she is. Her past starts to catch up to her, and she makes tough decisions regarding what to do about it. Ethan’s support never wavers, even after he finds out some of the things she did as a teenager. I loved the suspense/mystery elements of this book. Tiffany went through a lot, and it was awesome to see how she overcame her past. Ethan was just the perfect book boyfriend. He stuck by Tiffany through the fun times and the awful times. Held her close when she needed it and made her feel like she could be herself. Great read!

Paging Dr. Hart is a sweet workplace romance with a MMC that is easy to fall in love with. There is also a bit of mystery so prepare for a complex backstory and a FMC with some secrets. Overall, this is easy summer reading!

At first, I was all in on Tiffany and Ethan’s love story. Ethan is such a sweetheart and the attraction was hot!
I was invested in Tiffany and understanding her “ice queen” reputation.
Then, the story became more about Tiffany’s past and less about the romance. The story got wild really quicky, and I was left feeling a bit disappointed and confused.

Would you recommend this book?
What I liked most about this book was the romance between Tiffany and Ethan. I wished the whole book was just about them. Tiffany’s backstory provided some texture to the story at first, and I appreciated the flashbacks in the first half of the story. It helped me understand Tiffany’s issues with opening up to others and being vulnerable. However, by the second half, it felt like I was reading two different stories. Tiffany’s past took an unexpected turn of events that just didn’t seem to match up with the Tiffany in the present. How the author tried to tie them all together in the end with the final sequence of events seemed unbelievable and a bit forced.

Would you be friends with the main character IRL?
I would love to be friends with Ethan and Tiffany. They are both hard-working medical professionals but know how to have fun. While at a medical conference in Disney, they skip out on a morning of boring lectures to go eat and ride their way through Epcot. I absolutely would do the same!
