*4.5/5⭐️ - Releasing June 17, 2024!**
Thank you to @netgalley and @melissadymondauthor and Victory Editing for sending me this ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed how there are two versions of the book, one spicy and one sweet, so you can pick your comfort level. I had the opportunity to read the “sweet” version. Plus, 10% of proceeds go to lung cancer research, which is wonderful.
Quote ❤️:
“I like you all the ways, happy and sad. I like all the Tiffany’s past, present, and future. I’ll take them all.”- Ethan is the BIGGEST green flag I swear.
The book includes medical discussions and explanations, making it easy to follow and really immersing you in the setting without feeling like you’re in the middle of Grey’s Anatomy. It’s an initial enemies-to-lovers story with the FMC having to deal with the new residency hire.
Short chapters made it easier to read, and overall, it was a refreshing book and a great palette cleanser. There’s a mix of suspense and romance, with the FMC dealing with her past struggles and trauma. I also enjoyed how the FMC struggles with her past and upbringing but finds ways to overcome it through education and personal development. She is a strong FMC! The beautiful art and designs throughout the book were a lovely touch as well.
I loved the bonus setting moments in Disney World, a place I’m very fond of and have many memories with, so that was a fun crossover.
I thought the beginning of the book held my interest more than the second half, but it was still enjoyable! This is a palette cleanser book and I loved how the balance between romance, suspense, and thrill throughout it. The two versions of the book make it ideal for any type of romance reader ❤️ I will be keeping an eye out for her next published work!📚
A great story . Tiffany and Ethan are both doctors and have to work together , he hates him because she has to train him and he also correct her in one of her lectures . When they spent one month in Cleveland in his old hospital they grow closer . Tiffany has a painfull past that makes her closed off . When they finally give their relationship a chance a person from her past comes back and threatens her happiness .
I received this book from netgalley and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .
Paging Dr. Hart by Melissa Dymond is a rom with a hint of com but with a whole side of drama. This love story has a serious undertone and addresses childhood trauma and it's long term affects, although there is some humor and lightness in the evolution of the relationship between the main characters.
I do like that the author made two versions, one spicy and one closed door so everyone can enjoy. Good thinking!
Thank you, NetGalley and Victory Editing Co-op, for early access to read Paging Dr. Hart. It's clear the author put an incredible amount of thought ..and heart into this book to add depth, emotion, and realism.
First of all, Thank You Netgalley for the ARC granted! I have to start this confessing that I only requested this book because it's date release, which is my BIRTHDAY haha. However I got surprised by how enjoyable it has been. After the medical entrance subjects at the very beginning, I could enjoy the progressing romance content(that is actualy the main thing of the story) and also that suspense plot as well. I have to give a praise to ETHAN character, because WHAT A MAAAAN! He is my guy parameter, seriously! The man is awesome built and well developed, and also has the exact characteristics I personally ove to read from a man's behaviour. Tiffanny is another great character, full of strenght and lessons to teach the reader, especially abut her flaws and her experiences, what made the story got to anther level of depht. It was my first contact with any of the author's titles and I aprreciated a lot!
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC for an honest opinion!
When I started this book, I thought it would be a cute workplace romance and while it is, there is so much more to this story.
Tiffany is a doctor who works in the radiology department. She’s know as an ice queen because she can keep her composure and keeps to herself. Little do people know, her troubled past is why she has this wall built around her. In comes, Dr. Ethan Clark. He is handsome and confident and knows what he wants. When they first meet, Tiffany and Ethan don’t start off on the best foot, however, Ethan works hard to show he isn’t the cocky guy he comes off as. He chips away at the walls Tiffany has had up for so long. Slowly, Tiffany begins to fall for him, while Ethan has loved her from the very beginning. However, when someone from her past finds her, he has to decide if he really wants to be with her or if her inability to trust him with her secrets is too much.
In this book, we see flashbacks to Tiffany’s past. My heart broke for young Tiffany and all the problems and trauma she endured as a child. Tiffany has had to walk the fine line of what’s right and wrong and doing what she has to do for her family. From family deaths to betrayals, it all happens to her by the time she’s 18. However, unlike her friends, Tiffany had her mother and a neighbor, Mr. Chen, to help keep here focused on school, all while growing up in the unsafe parts of Las Vegas. This gave Tiffany the motivation to continue studying to become a doctor.
Ethan just wants to be out of his families shadow. Coming from a parents who are doctors and a brother who is highly intelligent, Ethan just wants to find his own way. He has his own goals. However, when he meets Tiffany, he has another goal, to make her, his.
As I mentioned before, this book was so much more than just a workplace romance and I loved it. Once I started I did not want to put this down and There were twists that I was not expecting. I loved this book and I cannot wait to read the other books in the Dr. Hart world. I would recommend!
I went into this thinking I was getting a romance novel but was pleasantly surprised when there was some mystery along the way. Paging Dr. Hart had multiple timelines all based in Dr. Tiffany Hart’s life from past to present. It all somehow ties together to tell this thrilling story of childhood trauma, forgiving yourself, and letting people in. This was the first book of its kind that I read and I was not mad. It was like two of my favorite genres had a baby and it was this book. Definitely black cat x golden retriever vibes but with the patience and understanding of Ethan Clark this slow burn is totally worth it.

Romantic suspense isn’t my favorite sub-genre, but I really liked this book! Ethan (MMC) is the golden retriever of your book boyfriend dreams!! The man is a walking green flag, I just want to know where I can find my own Ethan in real life! I love how he pays attention to Tiffany (FMC) and always gives her what she needs. He pushes her boundaries gently but it always respectful of her limits.
This book had such a delicious slow burn that I was screaming at my kindle “kiss already!!!” But it suited the characters, and I LOVED the tension and build-up! I also loved the medical content; I work in healthcare, so I was easily able to understand what was going on. But even if you don’t, Dymond does a great job explaining everything without over-explaining.
There was so much mystery regarding Tiffany’s past throughout the book, but I loved the way Dymond wrapped up the story. Tiffany and Ethan’s story has a satisfying conclusion even though there are still some questions left unanswered. I can’t wait to read more books in this world!!

Omg I loved everything about this book. Ethan’s and Tiffany’s character development as enemies/coworkers to lovers was absolutely magnificent; full of tension and romance!! Ethan is such an amazing, confident, and intelligent man despite his families high expectations when it comes to being a doctor. After a career ending injury playing baseball, he found his calling in radiology and worked hard without using his family’s name. Tiffany was a strong FMC from childhood to adulthood. What she went through in her childhood was a shock to me. The back story is nail bitting and mind blowing. I thought that they would get caught so many times! But even though she took risk in order to help pay for her mom’s medical bills, she still succeeded in school like her mom always wanted for her. She became a phenomenal doctor and beat the odds against her growing up. I love how the author gave two completed different sides of Tiffany. It made the story even better.
A fun, spicy, medical romance read! I love how there are two different versions of this book for different people's preferences of spicy or sweet/closed door. Great summer poolside read (on the kindle) - Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my electronic advanced readers copy!
3 stars
The medical aspects of this book were cool, but the rest of it was just alright for me. Tiffany and Ethan didn’t do much for me in terms of main characters and the suspense was really only in the last little chunk of the book.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

This was my first medical-themed romance, and honestly I don’t know how I’m going to top it. Seriously, I’m going on a binge now.
This story follows Tiffany Hart who is a radiology resident, and Ethan Clark, the hospital’s newest transfer. Tiffany is tasked with showing him the ropes of radiology, but can’t get past her dislike for Ethan, who seems to try his best to annoy her at all hours of the day. Meanwhile, secrets long buried in Tiffany’s past threaten to reappear, and she’s desperate to keep them hidden.
THE. TENSION. Y’all the romance was romancing. Seriously, I couldn’t get enough of Ethan. He is just too cute. Seriously the GREENEST of green flags. And the mystery aspect of this was so enthralling. Until it was unraveling, I really couldn’t guess what Tiffany’s secrets were. But they added a deeper level to this already amazing romance. The portion of the book where they were working at another hospital (iykyk). I couldn’t get enough. The dialogue was so captivating, and I cannot wait to get my hands on more of Dr. Melissa Dymond’s work!
I wish I could give this book a higher rating. I really wanted to love it because I love medical stories, and the cover made it seem like a fun rivals-to-lovers romcom style book. It's on me, I should have read the blurb, but...
The two stories past and present don't mesh very well. I feel like the buildup for Tiffany's relationship with Ethan didn't get enough screen time because of all of the Las Vegas flashbacks. It really feels like the author was trying to tell two different stories and both ended up suffering because neither got enough air time.
There was also the third subplot about Tiffany's dad which was fine until the epilogue where it's just...open. Not a teaser, not something you can draw inference from, but just...open. Unfinished. Is there going to be another Dr. Hart book to wrap this up? I'm not sure.
To be honest I ended up skipping a lot of the Las Vegas flashbacks because I was bored and not invested in any of the characters from Tiffany's past. I think the whole book just suffered from having too many threads and not enough space to tie them together, and without a driving force of a main character to keep me interested, I was left feeling cheated out of a story.
This one was amazing. It's the first book I read from this author, and I absolutely adore it.
The characters are amazing. Tiffany is a survivor; the chapter that showed her past was difficult, bringing tears to my eyes and making me want to hug her. Ethan is such a cutie. He is the perfect book boyfriend, he's the biggest green flag to exist. His love and care and patience for Tiffany makes my heart feel warm.
Okay, I honestly couldn’t put down this book and I need more immediately, and it hasn’t even officially come out yet 🫣 I definitely need an Ethan— all of their moments made me want to jump up with glee, especially with all of the giggling I was doing (is it bad that I needed more spicy scenes…?) and the flashbacks were so gripping and vivid I could see it all play in my head perfectly. Love this so much, Melissa, and I can’t wait for more! Also… Fred <3
This started as a 1 star for me.... I almost gave up. But I kept going and was glad I did.
Before I begin, I need to first say that the name of this book needs to be changed. What a horrible title. This book is about her life, her past, her relationships. Paging Dr. Hart makes it sound like a cutesy hospital rom-com that you can read in one sitting. Most of the book does not take placw in hospital. Most of the time you can forget she is even a doctor.
I have never had so many mixed feelings about a book in my life. I cannot understand how this book was written by one person. There were a lot of things in need of some common sense editing. The book is split into two time periods: past and present. The past sections were amazing. So well written. Captivating. It was so realistic and so good. I felt like the author was telling true stories.
The present was not as good. It was so cheesy...

1) "I need to nail this lecture. Hopefully if I do well, it'll win the Resident of the Month Award." We are told this right after she completely botches the opening of her lecture. She had her phone out, and while we were told that she put it on silent, somehow two seconds later it started vibrating. She drops the microphone because she is so surprised by the sound of a vibrating phone. THEN she chose to check the text message while standing in front of an audience about to present. This message shocked her. Stunned her. Probibited her from thinking clearly. Then she proceeded to get on her hands and knees with her phone and get the microphone that has fallen (Did the microphone fall in a haystack? Why are you on your hands and knees?) She continued to look at her phone while on the floor... how is that going to win you an award? The rest of the book we are given the impression that she is a very respected resident, top of her game. But this first impression really started the book on a rough note. Not to mention that the text isn't even an ominous text. It's literally the Las Vegas sign. It may be confusing, but not bone chilling. It feels like the author was trying to push the "suspense" and ended up making it seem forced.
2) BOTCHED "enemies to lovers" trope. I have high expectations for a book that claims enemies to lovers. Our FMC makes our MMC out to be her mortal enemy all because SHE made a mistake on her presentation and he caught it. That's it. That's the foundation for this. The book would have been so much better if the author just let the interactions between the two be natural. Again, way too forced
3) I found it UNBEARABLE that a DOCTOR would text an uppercase U instead of the word "you" every time she says it in a text. If you are too lazy to type 3 letters, but not too lazy to capitalize the letter U every time, you're just an idiot.
4) No rom-com should be 75 chapters. This is the wrong genre.
5) What is with the random drawings?
6) We are told that for the entire MONTH that they are in Cleaveland she has a nightmare EVERY NIGHT that wakes him up. Ma'am are you telling me that you have never slept a single night through and you are a doctor responsible for peoples' lives??? Also we did not hear about nightmares until the trip with Ethan... so is it triggered by being away from home? That would make more sense. Again, editing needed.
7) Six times we are told he smells like soap... we get it.
8) No air mattress is that comfortable. Even a queen size.
9) So the resident of the MONTH award isn't awarded at the end of the MONTH??
10) Misspelled Cinderella
11) Why would Shelly's step dad leave her mom with Shelly is 16 knowing that there's only two years left until she's an adult when he stuck around for all of these years while she grew up...
12) How does a grown man grow an entire FOOT taller??
13) Ethan showing up to the hotel right after them makes absolutely no logical sense.
14) Knowing all of her past, I also don't understand the nightmares every night. It wasn't that bad... you can't tell us someone has nightmares for 21 days straight and then not deliver some serious trauma
If you are still reading this, I hope you stick through the book. It has such great potential. A good editor would make this book so much better.
Thank you so much to Dr. Melissa Dymond and NetGalley for approving me to read an advanced copy of this book (Published June 17, 2024)
I am so sad because I couldn’t finish it. The beginning of the book was a really slow start. I’m not sure if because I work in healthcare and then reading about in my free time made it hard for me to get hooked or it was because the pace of the story seems slower that I couldn’t get hooked.
From reading some of the other reviews, I think if you enjoy Greys Anatomy and you enjoy reading about doctors and the hospital setting with some fictional romance, this would be a great book. For me, it wasn’t something I could get hooked on.
This book was amazing and I devoured this book in just a few sittings! I loved the character development and how the story progressed.
Do you have authors that you just have to read whatever book they write? Dr. Melissa Dymond should be on your list! If you love a good story but don’t want as much smut, she releases in two versions!
I was lucky enough to get to read this ARC and it didn’t disappoint!! Alllll the slow build up to allllll of the spice, the story was wonderful, the back story was surprising and I just did not want to stop reading this!

I had fun! I wasn’t the biggest fan of the throwback chapters, mostly cause they took me out of the reading flow, but over all it was a great time and still a solid rom com perfect for an off day.
Fun, easy going and soft.
I absolutely loved this book! It was such a fun mix of being invested in the romance storyline but also the suspense storyline. I was fully captured and invested from beginning to end! Leaving with so many questions but SO SO excited to know that there is more to come.
