Es la primera vez que leo a Melissa Dymond y cuando me recomendaron su libro no dude en pedir el ARC.

Ice Queen. That’s Dr. Tiffany Hart’s nickname in the hospital, but when she meets red-hot new hire Dr. Ethan Clark she loses her cool. He’s arrogant, annoying, and stupidly handsome.

That’s okay. Frozen from a past filled with danger and betrayal, Tiffany is immune to charming men, even if they remember her favorite coffee and let her pick what to watch on TV.

Dr. Ethan Clark comes from a long line of famous doctors. Wanting to escape his legacy and forge his own path, he’s happy to transfer to Tiffany’s hospital. Especially when he lays eyes on the fiery redhead doctor assigned to train him.

Sure, she looks like she wants to punch him most of the time, but he can’t ignore the sparks between them so he vows to thaw her icy heart.

When Ethan and Tiffany are sent back to his home hospital and then to a medical conference at Disney World, they’re forced to share close quarters. And when Tiffany’s past finally catches up to them, they have to fight for their lives.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book. I enjoyed this romance a lot. It has the typical part of girl meets boy and their is some animosity at first. I liked that it is set in a hospital because I have a healthcare background and knew many of the situations in the book. I read this on my Kindle so all the pictures were black and white. However, when I looked back I got to see the color pictures and they are amazing. I also like the flashbacks to when the main character, Tiffany, was growing up and the struggles she faced. It is amazing to see that she became a doctor by not giving up.

This book was an amazing mix of romance, and mystery, with a bit of medical jargon. The author did a good job explaining the medical terms used. As a nurse, I am familiar with the terms used in this book but I love how the author explained the terms for lay persons.
This book has a dual timeline, the main character, Tiffany, relives her past in her nightmares and we get to see her childhood growing up. This leads to the mystery of what happened when she was a teenager. All the while our resident Tiffany as an adult is learning what love is and thawing her frozen heart for a new doctor she is forced to work with. I love how this book is written. The ending was suspenseful but satisfying.
I think anyone reading this will thoroughly enjoy it, even non-medical people!
Thank you to Victory Editing, NetGalley, and Melissa Dymond and her team for the amazing opportunity to read this ARC for an honest review
Spice: 4/5, the scenes were good, I feel the sexual tension lasted FOREVER before they finally gave in to desires, which did make the scenes all the more desirable

Overview: Known as an ice queen amongst her colleagues, radiology resident Dr Tiffany Hart is forced to work together with the affable and handsome new resident Dr Ethan Clark to set up a new radiology residency program.

Thoughts: I’ll admit I had some trouble getting through the beginning of this book as Tiffany was slightly too grumpy for my taste and her interactions with Ethan felt overly antagonistic. Additionally I was thrown off by the introduction of the dual timeline, as I had trouble seeing what the flashbacks were leading to. But after getting past that, I was COMPLETELY HOOKED and was especially excited to see how the two timelines would collide (which they do, fantastically). Although I enjoyed the romance angle (which ended up being quite cute), the best part of this book is the storyline following Tiffany’s past. The characters from that timeline were so great (Mr Chen! 🥹) and now I absolutely need a follow-up book to learn more about Tiffany’s mom AND a romance centered on a certain tattooed bad boy!

Take home message: Paging Dr Hart is a grumpy/sunshine and forced proximity medical romance that is perfect for fans of Grey’s Anatomy. This single POV story also features a dual timeline (one of which includes the Vegas strip and even a masquerade ball!) that leads to a surprising amount of suspense and action. There’s also cute character artwork throughout!! A portion of the book’s proceeds will be donated to lung cancer research.

Thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing for this digital ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Dr. Melissa Dymond’s “Paging Dr. Hart” is a thrilling sprint through the heart of Mercy Hospital. The book pairs the icy Dr. Tiffany Hart with the warm Dr. Ethan Clark, creating sparks that could revive any flatlining love life.

In a world where every second counts, Dymond doesn’t waste a beat. The romance is sweet, the banter is lively, and the drama is as gripping as a cardiac arrest. When past and present collide, Tiffany and Ethan’s story proves that love is the best medicine.

Short and sweet, this book is the perfect remedy for a dull day, proving that sometimes, the right person can turn even the Ice Queen into a puddle of warmth.

First of all I want to thank NetGalley and Victory editing for this ARC

I was hooked from the first page as the author attributed songs to the main characters and throughout the book, there are also some songs hints here and there.(swifties, you might love this!)

We follow Tiffany Hart, a radiology resident and switch between two timelines, past and present. She is a complex character with a dark past and we get to know her little by little and why she’s pushing people away from her.
She meets Ethan Clarke, a new recruit in her residency and she begins to train him, reluctantly. As they get to know each other, Tiffany is afraid that her past is going to haunt her…

I loved Tiffany and even though she’s a flawed, sometimes naive person, she has a great heart and is loyal to her friends even though it costs her.
Ethan felt a little more cocky character but he grows on us eventually.
This had forced proximity, one bed trope and I’m so here for it!!! I truly had a great time reading this book and the past timeline really intrigued me even though I admit I had some questions unanswered at the end and I truly wish there was more of it!

Thank you to Net Galley for this ARC.

First of all, I LOVE that the author offers both a closed door version and an open door version of the book.

Dr. Tiffany Hart has escaped a checkered past and has made her way as a doctor in Ohio. Ethan transfers into her hospital and she is assigned to train him.

What follows is flashbacks from Tiffany’s past coupled with the current time during which Tiffany and Ethan must navigate their newfound relationship.

They go back to his home hospital, where Tiffany gets some insight into Ethan’s past and are forced to share close quarters.

This book was an enjoyable read, light with the added suspense of flashbacks from Tiffany’s past in Vegas.

Paging Dr. Hart looks nice and sunshiny when you see the cover art, it is anything but. I am a medical professional so I was extremely excited to read this, plus I also love romance and thrillers together...so all of my favorites combined. The author did a great job at switching back and forth and giving a lot of necessary background. I think readers are going to love this book.

Paging Dr. Hart | Dr. Melissa Dymond
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
I requested this arc on a whim — and I’m so glad I did! I wasn’t sure what to expect, and was so pleasantly surprised. Dr. Tiffany Hart is working through her residency when she’s given the task of interviewing and training Dr. Ethan Clark. Coming from incredibly different backgrounds, a slow burn, sweet romance happens with pieces of Tiffany’s past interrupting and testing them. And they go to Disney World! The various timelines were well done and kept me wanting more. There was so much character growth that was so fun to follow. I loved the addition of texts with her best friend throughout and the updates on her cat, Fred (which happens to be one of my cat’s names sooo i was especially obsessed). Also, there is a spicy version of the book, and a non-spicy version — so anyone can enjoy this story. If you like Grey’s Anatomy, Disney, or Taylor Swift easter eggs, this is especially for you! Thank you NetGalley and Dr. Melissa Dymond for this arc! Paging Dr. Hart releases on June 17, 2024!

*I received an E-ARC of this book for free in exchange for an honest review* - Thank you @melissadymondauthor, @victoryeditingngc and @netgalley!

I love the illustrations throughout the book! Special touches like that make the reading experience even better. There is a clear dual timeline, which is the only type of dual timeline I want to read! I enjoyed the medical descriptions and found everything pretty easy to understand with my only background knowledge being the show Scrubs! I also appreciated the glossary provided within the book for easy access and ability to refer back if you ever get confused about a definition. Ethan is so sweet and cute! I love all his little gestures and he has cute banter with Tiffany. There’s a spicy and a sweet version, which is great to reach more readers and it would be cool to see that happen more. The author is also a doctor and I love that she is donating a portion of the proceeds of this book for lung cancer research! This is not your typical medical romance and there was a lot that I wasn’t expecting for sure!

If you like medical romance, reverse grumpy x sunshine or black cat x golden retriever, you should check out Paging Dr. Hart!

Get excited to read Paging Dr. Hart, available June 17! 🎉

Two resident physicians. Forced proximity. Tiffany is grumpy, Ethan is sunshine. What could go wrong?

A lot actually. This book is sneaky! You think you're getting a sweet lovey-dovey coworker romance story, but then you get pulled into the past with Tiffany's 'rise from the ashes' upbringing. She has a past that is now haunting her present and the suspense is gripping!

The author does a great job on enveloping you into Tiffany's troubled past and you become invested in her future. I thought all the medical details were well placed as well, not too much where it was like a Grey's Anatomy episode, but just enough to set the stage for a great office romance!

read this book if you like:
suspense
he falls first
slow burn
trips to Disney!

Last thing! Another aspect that this author does right is she made a sweet/spicy version of this novel! I personally read the spicy, get your pre-order now! I recommend this read.

Suspense, medicine, and romance ALL in one book?! Like talk about a dream come true.

The storyline flips between Tiffany’s past and present. I was on the edge of my seat as I watched Tiffany’s past unravel and come back to haunt her in the present.

I adore the way Ethan pays so much attention to detail when it comes to Tiffany and even defending and sticking up for her when he barely even knows her.

It’s a slow-burn, but be patient. It’s totally worth the wait. There’s some 🌶️🌶️ spice near the end in a couple scenes.

Thank you to NetGalley and Melissa for the digital reviewer’s copy in exchange for my honest review.

P.S. Be sure to subscribe to Melissa’s newsletter for a bonus chapter. Totally worth it to hear the same scene from another point of view! I love how much thought she puts into this for her readers. ☺️

This book has 2 versions (clean or spicy) and I read the open door spicy version. This was my first medical romance novel with suspense and I was gripped throughout! I loved it! It does leave you with a few unanswered questions at the end but there’s no huge cliffhanger. For me, these questions didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the book and I am intrigued to find out the answers in any further books by this author. I loved the dual timeline and how Ethan (MMC) and Tiffany’s (FMC) relationship developed throughout. I felt that the characters were relatable, the plot was engaging, and the whole book was well written. I highly recommend Paging Dr Hart!

I really enjoyed this medical romance with suspense. There were so many unpredictable twists that had me reading this book cover to cover in under 48 hours. I really enjoyed the workplace setting and the slow burn. Disney being a focal point in this story was also a very cute touch.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dr. Melissa Dymond for the ARC.

What I thought would be a cute romance book in a hospital setting turned out to be so much more than that.

Tiffany is what one would call a lone wolf, because having people to care about equals a lot of pain when they leave you. During the story, we learn about Tiffany's rough past and how she came to be as she is now. Her past also explains why, in the beginning, she keeps her distance from the new resident Ethan, and why she is scared to trust him.

"You're no ice queen. You're pure fire."

The story starts out a bit slow, but picks up after about 20%. I was really curious to see how the flashbacks related to the life Tiffany currently has and what I got was beyond my expectations. Tiffany's past gave me so much to think about, such as trying to find out who you are at a young age while also dealing with heartbreak and grief. The book also focusses on the fact that your past is a part of your story, but also that it doesn't have to define who you are as a person later in your life and that maybe the only one you really need forgiveness from is yourself.

The dynamic between Ethan and Tiffany is really good. It's fun, it's fresh, but also realistic. People have baggage and you have to find a way to deal with it and talk about thing, which they do. Ethan is also a pure golden retriever which I think is the best kind of guy Tiffany could get. Melissa Dymond did a great job at making their relationship feel really genuine and authentic.

"You can kiss me anywhere, anytime."

Overall, I really recommend this book to anyone who is in the mood for a romance novel, but also wants a bit of angst, mystery and action in it. The writing is good and easy to follow. The story has multiple layers which really keeps you engaged in the entire story. The ending is just the finishing touch because all story lines get the closure you would want from them. So in the end, it was a great book which really enjoyed.

A major thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.
I requested this book for 2 different reasons.
One of them is the donation towards lung cancer research. As a person with mesothelioma,I think this is really reaaally awesome.
And second, because this seemed to be a nice, cute hospital romance. And initially it really was. The recipe seemed perfect: a bit of banter, a bit of them being enemies, a bit of grumpy vs sunshine, a tragic & adventurous past... Until ...it started to become too much, to the point I really had to make sure I'm reading the same book. The last 20% of the book felt unfinished, rushed and I feel like some questions we're left unanswered. Despite all of this I do think the book is a solid 3-3.5*. ^^

Tiffany Hart is a struggling resident. She has a troubled past that she's desperate to forget. She is just trying to be the best she can be. She meets Ethan while giving a presentation and immediately dislikes him. However, he is good looking and charming and impossible to not like. They grow closer and she's scared. She's scared that her past will scare him away and she'll forever be alone. She learns to let people in slowly, but her past catches up to her. Luckily, Ethan is the perfect guy and saves her from her past. He's hurt than she wouldn't share that part of her, but again, he's pretty perfect and stays with her. I would have liked to see the mystery of her father solved, but nothing is perfect

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest Review.

In this medical rom-com, icy third-year resident Dr. Tiffany Hart meets charming transfer Dr. Ethan Clark. And he immediately ruins everything. He points out a mistake in the presentation she was counting on earning a reward for and she quickly finds out she has to share her office with him. The worst part: he annoyingly INSITS on being her friend. And even worse? She kind of likes it.

I was expecting funny, silly medical drama, rivals-to-lovers, conference drama etc. etc. etc. I was NOT expecting dark histories, borderline mafia (side)plot and literal murder. You're in for a ride y'all!
Actually, I really liked this book. I enjoyed the view into Tiffany's past, especially with the focus on two people with such a huge contrast in backgrounds. Tiffany grew up in a bad neighborhood in Vegas and Ethan is the son of a Legacy of doctors. Watching the expectations and realities both have play out was a lot of fun. The story was also pretty slow-burn, which I really liked.
However, it fell short in two regards: the beginning was so weirdly rushed? Ethan and Tiffany needed a slower plot in the beginning, maybe simply with less "events" and more banter, to really characterise and develop their relationship. Secondly, it's honestly a CRIME to market this as a simple rom-com. The plot about Tiffany's past took up so many pages and was so complex, it didn't deserve to be relegated to not even being mentioned. The book is not the happy-go-lucky rom-com with a twist it's marketed as, and that does a real disservice to the book.
I really recommend this book to people who would enjoy Grey's anatomy but focused on Jo's storyline. I feel like that might be a bit closer to what to expect.
