This book is set in both the past and present so we slowly figure out how Tiffany got to where she is throughout the book. This book did this really effectively and I was equally intrigued by both sections of the story. I really enjoyed the banter between the main characters and the plot was mostly really gripping. This book was great, with building suspense and tension, but I personally found the description of certain…scenes to be a little bit off-putting.

Though I did enjoy the ‘past’ chapters of the book, I felt the relationship between Tiffany and Rafe didn’t make sense and neither did Rafe’s motives at some points in the book. I also felt that there could have been some more character development for intriguing characters in the book such as Mr. Chen (my personal favorite) but also even the main character Ethan. There were some parts of the book which I knew were supposed to make me feel something for the character, but fell a bit short because of this.

This book also seemed to mention toes quite often. It wasn’t that much but enough for you to notice lol. Some of my favorite quotes are ‘the tip of his toes brush against mine and a strange zinging sensation runs up my leg’ and ‘I’m not sure which hurts worse, my toes or my heart’.

Besides that, I found this book really enjoyable and look forward for the sequel. My final thoughts are team Stewart lol.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!

Ethan and Tiffy’s slow burn romance also had a bit of mystery to it. Tiffany wanted to keep her past in the past but when Ethan joins her residency program, they’re forced into close proximity. The ending / epilogue left me wondering more (sincerely hope there’s a follow up book) with a big revelation at the end …

Ok, I admit, I'm biased, given that I'm a Radiologist, but I could not put this book down. Over the top fun, steamy, a bit of mystery. I'm going to be following this author for a long time I'm sure. A little bit of reverse grumpy sunshine, some instalove and a whole lot of entertaining character building and storyline.

Paging Dr Hart is a cute, suspense-romance, making for a great escapist read on a rainy day!

The suspense storyline added a lot more interest to the story than your typical romance. There was definitely the need to suspend your disbelief (and for a smart woman I found some of Tiffany’s decisions very frustrating!). But overall it was fun to be taken along for the ride.

The alternating timelines of Tiffany’s childhood in a gritty Las Vegas setting, and her life as a medical registrar felt very dissonant to start with, but wove together well as the story progressed. I enjoyed Tiffany and Ethan’s chemistry, particularly their trip to Cleveland. The section at the back describing the medical training process was super helpful in understanding Tiffany’s journey.

Most threads are well tied up by the end of the book, making for a satisfying ending. There is one thread remaining, making me very hopeful that we will see more of Tiffany and Ethan’s story.

Thank you Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.

I enjoyed how the book is written in short chapters, with a narrative that smoothly transitions between the present and past lives of Dr. Tiffany Hart. It's easy to follow, and the limited use of medical jargon makes it accessible. The storyline predominantly focuses on their lives outside the hospital, which I found particularly engaging.

The dual timeline follows Tiffany's childhood and her present life. Tiffany emerges as a survivor, and the chapters depicting her past are emotionally gripping. The character development throughout the book is commendable, offering insights into Tiffany's backstory and how her upbringing shaped her as an adult.

Ethan makes for a fantastic book boyfriend. He embodies the "he falls first and harder" trope perfectly. I appreciate that I also learned about Ethan's history with the hospital his family built, and how he works through his past.

Overall, I truly appreciated this captivating and emotional novel. Despite being a romance, the narrative doesn't shy away from heavier topics and conflicts. The main characters are portrayed with their share of flaws, making them more relatable.

I really loved this book! It’s a suspenseful romcom which was a fun twist on an old favorite! I loved the element of not knowing what was going to happen. Tiffany is really relatable and Ethan just warms your heart right up!! I loved them together and their exchanges and watching their relationship grow and change. The addition of an epilogue from an unexpected source had me LAUGHING!! I adored it! I’m ready for the sequel, please!

Summary: In the present, Tiffany meets a cute new doctor who she doesn't get along with. In the past, Tiffany's childhood is full of hard times. Then the two timelines collide.

Vibes:
- Medical Romance
- One Office to One Apartment to One Bed
- Spice: 2 & there's a no spice option

It felt like I was getting two stories in one. The past was filled with heartache and suspense, while the future was filled with romance.

I also want to point out that this book comes in two different options: With Spice & Without Spice and I love that.

"𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰 𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘦𝘯. 𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦."

Ethan was such a sweetheart paying attention to everything Tiffy did. For someone who has been alone and is used to people calling her an ice queen, I feel like it helped Tiffany open up.

"𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴, 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘥. 𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘢𝘯𝘺'𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵, 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦. 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘢𝘭𝘭."

I'm not sure if Melissa knew what I was eating the other night, but I found it hilarious when I read "𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘶𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘫𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘸𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘰𝘴" because that's exactly what I had since I was too tired to cook.

4.5 stars, rounding up to 5.
I just feel like the past and present didn't blend very well to me. I was expecting a medical romance and a mafia story was thrown in.
Separately, I loved both aspects and think they could have each had their own story.
Ethan and Tiffany's romance was so sweet. Forced proximity and how he comforted her was perfect. Good slow burn on the spice.
I appreciate the story of Tiffany's past to explain her present behaviors and loved her relationship with Mr. Chen so much.

This book had a lot of elements of a fantastic read. I thought Tiffany was a very interesting character, and enjoyed her slowly opening up to people and working through the impact her past had on her. I thought both the suspense aspects and medical romance aspects of the book had good elements in them but it was out of balance. I also took a while to warm up to Ethan, to me the cockiness didn't quite fit with his character through the rest of the book. Overall it was enjoyable though.

PAGING DR HART- A MEDICAL ROMANCE WITH SUSPENSE

Tropes
*Workplace
*Enemies to lovers
*He falls first
*Suspense
*Forced proximity
*Dash of Disney

Paging Dr. Hart is my first Suspense RomCom. Paging Dr. Hart is about a Radiologist named Tiffany Hart who has a very complicated past. Dr. Tiffany Hart is preparing a lecture to give at a conference when Dr. Ethan Clark corrects her presentation and hatred begins. Not only does Tiffany have to take care of her new colleague, she starts to receive texts from an unknown number from her dark past.

The present story threaded along with chapters of the past kept me engaged in the story. I feel like the pacing of the story was great. The sprinkle of Tiffanys history throughout the book kept me at the edge of my seat.
Tiffany has to work hard for everything in her life. Tiffanys’ Mother is a single parent trying to provide for her and her daughter in a rougher part of Vegas. Tiffanys Mother becomes sick, leading Tiffany to look for creative/dangerous ways to pay for medical bills and living expenses.

I appreciate that the reader also got to see Ethans history with the Hospital that his family built, and how he works through his past. Ethan is the best “Golden Retriever Boyfriend” with just a little bit more of a bite.

“I will fight anything, or anyone, that comes between us. Nothing could keep me away from you. Nothing” -Ethan

My heart was so happy that they both felt like they belonged. That even if you have a complicated past, it stills means you are still deserving of love and support.

There were a few open door scenes in chapter 63 and 72, not too explicit.

I gave Paging Dr. Hart 4.5 stars. The chemistry between Ethan and Tiffany was *chefs kiss*.

This book was incredible! 5 stars hands down. I love that this was my first arc read! The detail that was put into this novel really makes it seem real. I feel like Ive just watched a movie because I could picture every scene with how beautifully this was written. I love the flashback chapters and I love how each chapter gives you just enough to have you NEEDING to read more! It is very obvious that this author took her time with those novel as it is absolute perfection in my opinion. Paging Dr. Hart had me on my toes. I wasnt expecting some of the scenes that took place. WARNING- make sure you have time once you start this book. You will not want to put it down, I loved the back and forth from past to present. The cute little pictures through out. But the story & mystery will pull you in. Intrigued to see if they go more into Tiffany’s father!

Paging Dr. Hart follows a young woman's quest to overcome her past and shape her future. Despite a challenging upbringing, Tiffany's self-reliance has made it hard for her to trust others. When she meets Ethan, a new colleague, she begins to question her beliefs about herself and her ability to move forward. As Tiffany confronts her inner demons, she grapples with questions of self-worth and the possibility of forging a new path.

The narrative unfolds with suspense and depth, drawing readers into Tiffany's journey. Themes such as social-economic disparities, grief, self-advocacy, societal expectations, and self-forgiveness are skillfully explored, offering readers a reflection on resilience and personal growth. The characters had depth and the dynamics between Tiffany and Ethan were so well-developed. Everything came together seamlessly, creating a truly captivating reading experience.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

I mean where to start? I devoured this in a sitting. Tiffany is an icon. Such an intelligent and hardworking individual who is motivated and focused, I loved it. Her personal experiences have only made her stronger and more determined to do good - I love her.

I haven’t read an MMC like Ethan in a long time is feels like. An actual golden retriever who clearly only has eyes for her and I just adored him all the way through.

Rivals to lovers is probably my favourite trope. I find it very different from enemies to lovers. This was an excellent representation of that.

I’m not always the biggest fan of when the storyline switches between timelines as I often prefer one over the other and then want the other timeline to come back more. However, this was very well done. I was engaged by both.

This is the kind of reverse grumpy x sunshine that made so much sense and I loved it. It reminded me of the relationship between Duel-re and Dr Huang in Daily Dose of Sunshine (very niche reference but the energy is truly the same).

The non romance story line surrounding Tiffany was excellent. I could not stop reading this story. I also, obviously, adored the romance too.

Paging Dr. Hart by Dr. Melissa Dymond

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

I am going to be very honest with this review. These are just my thoughts as someone who reads a lot of thriller and romance. I rated Paging Dr. Hart 3.5 stars and rounded up to 4 stars.

I really enjoyed the use of enemies to lovers and the he falls first trope. I feel like it was really well done and I loved the banter between Tiffany and Ethan. Their chemistry felt natural and seemed like it came out of an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. I also really enjoyed the suspense elements of the story. Tiffany’s back story was engaging and I found myself wanting to read more of it. It was slightly more engaging than the romance aspects of the book. I also loved the Taylor Swift lyrics sprinkled throughout!

Now, I had some issues with the layout for the first half of the book. It didn’t feel cohesive and felt like two separate stories. Going into the book, I thought I would get a romance story with some suspense that the FMC and MMC would get through together, but really the suspense was centered around Tiffany and her past. There is nothing wrong with this, but I think the marketing could have been more clear. I also think the cover of the book introduces it as a romance with some light suspense.

I still enjoyed Paging Dr. Hart and am looking forward to reading more in the future.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dr. Melissa Dymond for an ARC of Paging Dr. Hart❤️

This was a great story which had some ups and downs. Story of how someone evolved and how another person helped them thru the tough times. With a nice love story attached

This was a really fun read. If i wasn't a mother I would have finished it in one day. It was the perfect amount of romance and suspense to keep you hooked. It also left me needing more. There are questions left unanswered, so I do hope there is a sequel to this book.

Rating: 4.75 ⭐
Spice: 2 🌶️

My Thoughts: I went into this book blind, expecting a contemporary medical romance with perhaps a big, suspenseful twist. I was wrong! It reads like a Colleen Hoover novel. This book isn't just a medical romance. It’s a beautiful romantic story full of witty remarks, sweet moments, and fun peeks into the lives of resident doctor’s whilst also getting some serious sub-plots and topics weaved into it. The suspense of Tiffany’s unknown past and the delicious tension between Tiffany and Ethan keeping you hooked.

One of the things that I love about this book is that you are getting a complex set of characters who went through trauma and lives that really could happen to anyone. We are thrust into a dual timeline from Tiffany’s POV. We have our primary timeline; where we are living in the present with Tiffany as she tries to heal the scars, and survive the nightmares, of her past. This is where we meet Ethan as he is trying hard to avoid being another “nepotism baby” in the medical field. He falls for Tiffany instantly and for him, the rest is history.

Our second timeline is where we slowly see Tiffany’s dark past and the extremely tough decisions she had to make to get herself out. We meet characters as they go through growing up impoverished, in underdeveloped and underfunded communities, and much more.

We get some nice spice, not too mild and not too hot, but this book is a slooooow burn. The best part is that you can read the spicy or sweet version of the book! If spice isn’t for you, then definitely try the sweet version.

There were questions raised at the end, and a few little easter egg moments with her mom’s backstory, that tells me there is DEFINTIELY more to come. If so, it ends on a potential cliffhanger. If not, it ties up almost all of the loose ends but I. WANT. MORE!
