It took me awhile to get into this book due to me disliking every single character in this book. I did not root for anyone and that made me less invested in the story in the beginning. But then... no, I did not suddenly start liking a character in the book, but I was drawn to the story due to the writing being so good, and the premises as well as the atmosphere somehow were very vivid and I enjoyed the descriptions and suspense in the book. This sometimes happens to me when I don't really like the characters, that it takes awhile for me to get into the story. It was definitely worth the read, and I especially enjoyed the ending!

I am absolutely astounded by how quickly this book has become my favorite of the year. It's fast-paced, beautifully written, and the plot twists were absolutely perfect. I adored this book so much that even after a couple of days, I'm still thinking about it. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat—or rather, the edge of the bed; at one point, I had to stand up just to keep reading, especially when the major plot twist hit—I might have even let out a little shriek. And that last sentence? Wow. Now, I feel compelled to reread the book, searching for the hints of the plot twist. This book is definitely worth the read, and I strongly recommend it. Needless to say, I'll be purchasing more of the author's other books.

Wow! What a read!! Everything you want in a thriller!! Fast paced, characters written perfectly, suspense, mystery and ME suspecting everyone. And THAT ending! Hope you’re writing a sequel to this one Sue Watson!!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
You may think you know what’s going on in my marriage, but you’ll be wrong. Only three things are true: Someone is a liar. Someone is in danger. Someone is a killer.
Sue Watson was a TV Producer at the BBC until she wrote her first book and was hooked.
Now a USA Today bestselling author, Sue has written eighteen novels, many have been translated into several languages. Sue is now exploring the darker side of life with her thrillers OUR LITTLE LIES, THE WOMAN NEXT DOOR, THE EMPTY NEST, THE SISTER-IN-LAW, FIRST DATE and her latest, THE FOREVER HOME.
This is a stay up late, cuddle up in a warm blanket, and settle in for a day of reading kind of book, because you won’t be able to put it down once you start.
Fans of The Housemaid, The Perfect Marriage and The Girl on the Train will love this absolutely jaw-dropping psychological thriller. With twist after twist, you won’t be able to put this book down!

I loved how Sue Watson built up the suspense in this novel. It kept me reading through the day so I practically read the whole book in one sitting. Rachel's father died of Covid 4 years ago, leaving her wealthy. She has finally used the money to buy a beautiful house in Cornwall, a million miles from her cramped Manchester flat where she lived with son Sam and Husband Tom. Tom was not happy that Rachel's father forbid him from having access to the money but he has committed himself to making the house perfect for his wife and son. With the house finished, Rachel and Sam join Tom and prepare to spend an idyllic time in their new home. But, on their first evening together, they are disturbed by Chloe, their estate agent, who still has keys to the house. Tom warns Rachel that Chloe is dangerous but, Whilst Tom is away working, the two women strike up a friendship. But someone is doing their best to frighten Rachel, using information about a tragedy in her past that has left her afraid of water. Is Chloe responsible or is someone else orchestrating the terrifying happenings in and around the house? The author cleverly posts clues to who is responsible and these led me to work things out ahead of the denouement but that only increased my enjoyment as I found myself willing Rachel to see the truth. This is a well-crafted suspense novel that would be loved by fans of Lucy Foley and Lisa Jewell.

Another great read by this author. I've read a fair few of her books now and her writing style is so informal it just draws you in. This one starts off super creepy and the question you're asking yourself is who is it? And why? Nobody writes tense domestic drama better and I was drawn in to the conflict, wondering how this would all pan out.

Another excellent fast paced psychological thriller by Watson. Tom and Rachel have moved into Tom’s dream home by the sea. Rachel stayed in their old apartment with their young son hours away while Tom handled the entire remodel and purchase of their new property. While using up the entire amount of Rachel’s inheritance from her recently deceased father, Tom has made all the decisions on the new property, much to Rachel’s chagrin. As strange things begin to happen at the property, including the real estate agent that keeps popping up, Rachel feels uneasy in her new home. Fast paced thriller with an excellent twist, not to be missed.

This book quickly drew me in with a twisty plot and unreliable characters...just who is the villain here?
Rachel's father dies and leaves her a huge inheritance with one stipulation--it's for her, not her husband Tom. Rachel is embarrassed by her father's harsh exclusion of her husband, and when they buy their (Tom's) dream home by the sea, Tom announces that he will be in charge of renovations while Rachel stays behind with with their young son, finishing up work and emptying the old home. Rachel is reticent about the move, especially living so near the water, which she is deathly afraid of.
When she sees the finished house, she marvels at Tom's workmanship. Everything is beautiful and just as she would have chosen--except for one thing. When he leads her out the garden, he happily shows her an in-ground swimming pool.
Tom, the man who knows his wife is deathly afraid of water and why, has chosen a house by the sea and furnished it with a swimming pool. Read the room, man.
I'm busy hating Tom when the front door opens and a strange woman lets herself inside like she lives there. Turns out she is Chloe, the real estate agent, who has her own set of keys and is surprised to see Rachel there. Tom gets weird, Chloe leaves, and he tells his wife to stay away from Chloe because she is 'dangerous.'
Everything that happens next is buckets of crazy, and the only thing keeping me from a perfect review is my annoyance with the ending. No spoilers, but it made me say a lot of profanities out loud.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Bookouture for the early copy. This title will release June 3, 2024.

Rachel moves into a new house by the sea with husband Tom and their son. It is meant to be the start of their perfect new life but then she meets Chloe. Chloe becomes her friend, however her husband does not seem too keen, and then strange things occur.
This is my first Sue Watson book and certainly won’t be my last! This was a very entertaining novel full of twists, drama and shocks. The author manages to create a creepy tone throughout the novel and you never really know who you can trust. I enjoyed seeing the characters develop, although Rachel was a bit irritating at times.
I did find that some phrases were a bit repetitive and I worked out one of the main twists about half way along. Even so, I enjoyed this thriller and advise anyone planning to read to be prepared for a wild ride. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy in return for an honest review.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! My rating would be higher but the ending really was like ??? We aren’t going to go any further after we have found out the big reveal at the end??? If it would’ve wrapped up a little better it would’ve been 5 stars for SURE! I just feel like I’m reeling after not hearing what happened after the big reveal.
It kept me on edge the whole time I was reading it. I didn’t know who to suspect or who not to suspect. At one point I was just as paranoid as Rachel was I was like I bet everybody is guilty. It was such a build up the whole story, towards the end I sort of suspected who I thought the lover was for sure but reading it was like oh my god!
I will say Rachel was so annoying at point with the going back and forth with everything but obviously I understand why but I was like omg girl stand up for yourself here. Definitely didn’t like the way Tom was trying to control everything.
My only criticism is just how it ended so abruptly. If you are a fan of physiological horrors this is definitely a great read for you. I also think this was a slow burn type of story because very slowly do you find things out about what is going on.
I am also curious to check out some of the authors other works as well now. It’s so exciting finding an author that can write a book so well.
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for allowing me an ARC of this book.

4 star read
Uhm holy wow!! That ending I was not expecting that AT ALL!!! Just wow I need more details I need another book I just need more!!
Rachel being made out that she was crazy, and that her new friend Chloe was just bad news and nothing but trouble. All along I was convinced it was Chloe but the end twist I was not expecting at all!
This book was a bit slower to the usual pace I like my psychological thrillers to be but in the end I couldn’t put it down!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to review this book, definitely recommend it.

You, Me, Her by Sue Watson is another pacey, bingeable thriller from the author, and the element of the unknown identity of a stalker really kept me alert and unsettled throughout.
Rachel has joined her husband Tom at their new seaside home, a house which Tom alone has spent months renovating and decorating. Along with their young son Sam, it is a new beginning for the family, and Rachel is anxious to make a start on their new life. But when Tom reveals that a swimming pool has been a major part of his revamp, Rachel cannot be more confused and hurt. Tom knows that she has a debilitating fear of water, so why on earth would he include a pool in his plans for their dream home? And why is realtor Chloe comfortable enough to let herself into their house? Things are not adding up, and Rachel knows that she must do whatever it takes to keep her family safe.
This was an engaging read that I found difficult to put down for even a moment. Sue Watson has long been an automatic read for me, and her latest reminded me of the reason.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC.

Wow what a book!
I binged this book and couldn’t put it down. Definitely kept me guessing!
The characters were well written and the story was well paced.
Loved it!
Would definitely recommend.

Sue Watson, You, Me, Her, Bookture, June 2024.
Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with this uncorrected proof for review.
You, Me, Her is a competent example of the psychological drama genre, complete with the twists that are one of the usual features. However, it has nothing to lift it out of the standard fiction for this genre, and from past experience with Sue Watson’s fiction I hoped for something more. Like Watson’s, The Wedding, the first part of this novel is fairly slow, with the main character’s introspection verging on uncomfortable. The last part of the novel moves more quickly.
Turning first to the build up which is predominantly through Rachel’s eyes, taking in her present, immediate past and past. Rachel and Tom’s life in Manchester in a small flat has been supplanted by his absence for six months while Rachel sells the flat, and Tom refurbishes to immaculate quality their large home in Cornwall. Rachel’s past alone, without Tom and their four-year-old Sam, is largely defined by her fear of water, its origin gradually revealed as the narrative progresses. The relationship between Rachel and Tom is well written, raising questions about both Rachel and Tom.
Is Rachel’s imagination and fear so strong that she will permanently destroy this new life in Cornwall? Is Tom fostering that fear? Rachel believes in him, trusts him and adores him …but is prepared to ignore his warnings about Chloe. Is she right or is Tom determined to protect her from a destructive relationship? Interspersed with the new beginnings in Cornwall are glimpses of the past, Rachel’s loving and protective father whose will has made the new house possible and her best friend Rosa whose comforting presence Rachel calls upon during Tom’s absence from home on working assignments.
In the present, the fear that Rachel experiences is well drawn, deftly maintaining an element of scepticism about her and her understanding of events and characters. This lack of certainty is a clever device, and although the twists are quite predictable, the story maintains its tension because Rachel, Chloe and Tom remain characters whose personalities are not easy to accurately detect. Although this novel did not meet my expectations, it is a good beach read like so many in this genre.

You, Me, Her is a psychological thriller by Sue Watson. The main character is Rachel, who just moved to a new town with her husband and 4-year-old son. Rachel has a hard time adjusting and becomes friends with Chloe. Rachel soon learns that Chloe may not be who she says she is, and her husband may have some secrets as well.
This thriller was a little too predictable for my taste. I was able to see the big twist coming about halfway through the book. It was however a quick easy read. If you are a fan of movies like Single White Female or Fatal Attraction, you will definitely enjoy this book.
Overall I rated the book 3 1/2 stars. It was good, but I don’t think I would read it again. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

What a read, suspenseful, intriguing, what an ending...whewwwwwww... Definitely a shocker .
Love so many books from.Sue Watson this one did not disappoint.
Thanks to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for an early release of this book.

Another brilliant book by Sue Watson. It had so many twists and turns was so fast paced and It really kept me guessing.
Set in Cornwall Rachel and her family move into a stunning house which has had a swimming pool installed especially for her by her husband even though she has a fear of water.
The plot had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t put the book down.
The characters were excellent and I had no idea who to trust. The ending was just brilliant and totally unexpected.
Thanks to NetGalley, Sue Watson and Bookouture for an advance copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

What a twisted book and I really didn’t like her husband from the start. Imagine building a swimming pool in your new home when your wife’s biggest fear is water. This guy clearly only cares about money but does that means he’s doing what her new friend is saying and is she in real danger. This is dark and a great read.

This was such a gripping read, I didn't want to put it down. The amazing twists kept me reading until the end.

Unfortunately, I struggled a lot with this book and it did not grip me the way I was hoping it would
Ultimately I finished it, but it was a long journey and did not really enjoy it
