Sometimes you can meet someone and feel like you could become firm friends. They have a way of making you feel at ease and before you know it you have confided in them, told them some things you would never tell someone you only just met.
When you feel like the offer you a solution that could be the answer to solve your problem, you take them up on it. The question is though was this really the answer to your question, the magic trick to make it all disappear or did it have the opposite effect and made everything even more cloudy...
The author has created a few characters who mastered the art of lying and manipulation, resulting in murder and creating upheaval in quite a few people's lives.
Money is the key word and can drive people to crated the craziest schemes without any empathy for those who stand in their way.
Maybe not the most suspenseful thriller, but a very interesting and intriguing story nonetheless. I read it in one sitting and I loved the gesture Louise did at the end. 5 stars
Thank you
Louise and her husband, Marcus have been together for ten years and their marriage seems to have gone stale. There is no excitement.
Louise meets Erin at a yoga class and is instantly charmed by her. They become friends, and Erin mentions that she and her husband, Kieran saved their relationship by being in an open marriage. Louise is intrigued by this idea and talks Marcus into trying it.
She had no idea how much she would regret it.
I did enjoy this novel, it is a slow burn, but at the beginning, the burn was a little too slow for me.
I have read several of Victoria Jenkins books, and enjoyed each one, but this one lacked some spark.
I did figure out part of it, but don't want to give the game away. However, I am sure readers of psychological thrillers will love this.
My thought on reaching the end of the book was "Money is the root of all evil".

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this book.
This authors books always have the ability to suck the reader in from the outset and this was no exception and pretty much read it in one sitting. This was a slow burning domestic psychological thriller that makes you question do you really know anyone that well and also to think about what if this happens or what are the consequences of doing this?
Look forward to what this author writes next
I did enjoy this book but some parts I found a bit slow. It did get better and I wanted to finish to find it all out! thanks Net galley
I felt something was off with Erin from the get go, why someone described the way she is was so interested in Louise. I wasn’t expecting the ending though, when suddenly all was revealed with the reasons why.
The twists and turns of this book had me griped, and I was sat routing for Louise to be striped of her guilt she felt throughout the book. I read this in less than 8 hours as I just had to find out what shock was going to come next and how it was going to end. Usually I’m able to predict everything that’s going to happen, but I just couldn’t see it with this book.
I can’t wait for publication day of this book, because I 100% will be telling my friends and family to give it a read.
The Open Marriage is a psychological thriller about two married couples and what they are willing to do to save their marriages.
The blurb gives a peak into this story; what transpires is not what you'll expect.
This was an excellent read to pass the time and will be a fantastic beach read.
I was able to devour this in one sitting.
But this was missing the spark to make it stand out as a captivating thriller for me.
The beginning pacing was a little slow but picked up during the last quarter and didn't slow down.
I thought it was a bit predictable and lacked character development. I wish I could have felt more tension, more foreboding and angst.
Thank you, NetGalley, Victoria Jenkins, and Bookouture, for the arc in exchange for an honest review.
Middle of the road for this one. It was obvious from the get go that Erin was after Louise for some reason. Why, though, I did not guess. It didn't have that much suspense. Too many things were obvious or just not that interesting. Either I missed something or I just don't know if Lucy ever really had a part in this story other than Louise finding texts from her. This was def a skimmer. You can skip ahead and not miss a single thing. The cover actually creeped me out. reminds me of someone laying in a coffin.
