Finished reading the book!! All i have is good things about this series. I am a huge fan of addicted to you series and this book reminded me a lot of those characters and honestly i loved it. I loved how phoebe character was written and the chemistry between rocky and phoebe. I will always love ships who has some connection between them from childhood and these two serve it in the best way possible. Ngl Some scenes made me give side eye to this book. But anyways i loved it.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my copy of this e-arc.

I was so excited as I have heard amazing things about these authors and also enjoyed a couple of their other books I have read but this one just didn’t hit for me the way I wanted it to.

I found it really hard to connect with the story and the characters. I would still recommend as it was a good plot and it was unlike any premise I had read before.

First of all, I knew before even starting the book that I was going to be sucked in this new world that Krista & Becca created.

This book is so different from what I’m used to but that’s what makes it special, I ate it up! I was hooked from the start, everytime a chapter ended I just wanted to know what’s going to happen next. I AM OBSESSED with Phoebe & Rocky’s relationship, their love story is so unique, raw and genuine. The chemistry is INSANE and spice? oh. my. god. SO HOT!

Krista & Becca have a special way or writing complex and deep characters. The relationships and friendships may be messed up but you can feel how much this group love each other.

The drama in this book is sooo addicting, it’s a roller coaster of twist and turns! I WANT BOOK 2 ASAP, that cliffhanger is just crazy and I need more.

If you’re nervous and unsure about getting into this book you shouldn’t because it’s EPIC. Dishonestly Yours has my heart.

Thank you Krista & Becca Ritchie, Pan Macmillan & NetGalley for an e-ARC copy.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

One of the reasons why I like kbr's books is that they don't care only about the romantic relationship part of the romance, they always give good family and friendship love to care about too. And this in romance is so rare for me. And im glad this aspect was not missing here, I can't wait to see more from this family.

As for the romance, I didn't hate it, but they like each other since before the book started with only one thing (that we aren't sure of in the beginning) stopping them from getting together. Its nice at first but this is something that can get tiring easily and unfortunately it did after a while. I also wish the book focused more on their romantic connection since I think it focused too much on their sexual connection.

Still, overall it was an enjoyable read. The ending was abrupt though and I thought these things would be resolved in this story but I'll definitely will be reading the next one!

dishonestly yours 🍓

this book was honestly so intriguing - it did take a while for me to get into it but once i finally say down and really read it, it was so exciting and captivating!

phoebe ―୨୧⋆ ˚ i really felt for phoebe throughout the book and it’s obvious she had to be guarded and slightly jaded for multiple reasons.

her and hailey’s relationship was so sweet to see and become even more important as you read on in the novel.

i also found her pov really interesting to read and i enjoyed being inside her head as she battled feelings for rocky and conning.

rocky ―୨୧⋆ ˚
i found rocky’s character a bit frustrating at time because 9 time out of 10 you have no real idea of what he was thinking or feeling - especially around phoebe- despite this i think it showed the real skill of writing kristie and becca as his personality was so defined .. it was sweet to see him with phoebe, especially towards the end of the book.

plot ―୨୧⋆ ˚
the plot did take a while to form and it felt like a very slow- drip of information which was hard to get through in the beginning but i can see that this is largely due to the fact its setting up a new world and multiple characters and stories - once it got going IT GOT GOING.

overall, it was messy, mysterious and so so fun to read.

thank you netgalley for providing me with an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review

Thanks PanMacMillan and NetGalley for this E-ARC of Dishonestly Yours by Krista and Becca Ritchie

I loved the Addicted to you series and was overjoyed to receive this ARC. These sisters can write no wrong and this entertaining multi POV story about two con artists , has humour, banter , heart, tropes include family drama and romance … and yet it is so skilfully written. That I truly am a fan.

Thank you to Pan Macmillan and NetGalley for giving me this opportunity to review this ARC!

A gritty, tension-filled romance between two con artists from the authors of the Tik-Tok sensation, The Addicted Series.

After yet another demeaning job as con artists, Phoebe and Hailey decide to cut ties from the family business and start a new, honest life. But when lying and conning is in Phoebe's DNA, how far can she go starting afresh? Especially when Rocky, Hailey's brother, comes for along the ride and their history is as messy as the web of lies they weave.

I loved this first instalment of the Webs We Weave series. Phoebe and Rocky are lionhearted characters whose stubbornness and loyalty clash to create the most perfect angst-filled banter, leaving you anticipating for when they finally collide. This story is filled with never-ending twists and turns that keep you hooked from the first page and I can not wait for the second instalment!

4 stars for me!
i love Krista and Becca's writing style so i really enjoyed this read and i am so thankful to net galley for letting me read the ARC.
I am a massive sucker for banter in a book and i loved it here. I loved the relationship between rocky and Phoebe and i loved the tension. However even though i enjoyed the relationship between the two characters i struggled to connect to Phoebe and that's why i couldn't rate it any higher. The ending had me gripped and the last 15% of the book i couldn't sit still or put the book down. Really enjoyed and would recommend to others!

I really didn’t like this unfortunately. It started out great with an interesting premise, but then I just found it confusing and boring.

There were so many characters I found it hard to keep up with. Phoebe was boring. Rocky was a bit more interesting to read about.

And the ending just left me confused? It was left on a cliffhanger, but I feel like it all came out of nowhere and I was confused.

Poorly executed in my opinion and the romance wasn’t believable.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.

When I started this book I was a bit afraid I would start comparing it to the addicted series, but I'm happy to say it was great and it was refreshing reading a romance book like this.

I love the con artists as they were portrayed and I loved both main characters. I can't wait to read the next installment!

If there is one thing Krista and Becca are absolutely going to nail, 10/10, is the found family aspects of their books (or just the familiy in this one I guess). I always absolutely adore their romances, but the scenes between different characters in this book were everything to me. Saying that, this book's plot felt so different than anything else I've read from them before and I absolutely loved it.

All the characters were so unique and I feel like we have so much more to find out about them. It feel like I'm starting the first book in the Addicted series all over again, yes with a very different setting and characters, but the feeling is the exact same and I absolutely adored that.

As for the romance, Phoebe and Rocky have all of the bits in their history that will absolutely make me melt for childhood friends to lovers. I loved their banter, I love how different, but also similar they felt. I LIVED for the pining and the jealousy between them throughout the story, the angst was so painful to read at times, because you really understood the characters and why they did certain things by the time it really started shining through. I just can't wait to see even more of them, because I just know whatever the Ritchie sisters hace in store will be good.

Also I need book 2 asap, because that ending?????

Thank you to Netgalley, Pan Macmillan and Krista and Becca Ritchie for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

This is my first time reading these authors and I thought I’d go in blind. I did enjoy the story but I wish there had been a bit more of a plot to it at the beginning.

We follow two best friends on the run from a bad job trying to live a normal life and it was a great set up for the book. Phoebe and Hailey are great and it had some brilliant twists and turns that kept me hooked. The more we delve into the story, the more I think was rooting for the girls to be free and be free to live there own lives, until we got MORE plot twists.

Idid love the angst and forbidden love of Rocky and Phoebe’s relationship and can’t wait to read more of it. I can’t wait to see how the couple will be for the next story.

The last 70% of the book I sped through and it left it on such a cliff hanger that I know I’ll be reading the next book in the series.

"Am I that predictable? To me.Yeah."

this was such a refreshing and good start to the series,at the start's a bit slow but once it picks up i was all in because i needed to know everything. i’m not sure what i initially expected when i started this book especially since the addicted calloway series's my all time favourite series but i honestly enjoyed it so much.

this book follows the family of con artists, specifically phoebe as she attempts to leave the life of crime behind with her best friend hailey but there's rocky, hailey's brother, whose presence threatens to pull them back into their old ways.

phoebe's such a strong female characters with a lot of shades because she can be strong but she can be also really vulnerable, she can be everything she wants and i can't wait for her to understand this.

rocky's the kind of person that's just there for the people he loves,he can be wary, distrustful and cynical and this thanks to his relationship with his parents, but in the end rocky's always there for his people and i hope for him and for his people to have a lot of happy moments to live together.

phoebe and rocky’s relationship it's a very complicated one because they have feelings for each other, know those feelings are reciprocated, but choose not to be together for fear of what would happen if they made it official. they are always there for each others no matter what happens and i'm so curious to get to know about the next steps of their relationship.

hailey, nova, oliver and trevor were great supporting characters in this book and i really hope we'll get to know them more because i know that they can add a lot of moments and surprises to the story!

thank you to netgalley and panmacmillan for an arc

Phoebe and her best friend Hailey, the daughters of con artist parents, decide to try and live an honest life. This means 'running' away and setting up in the small town of Victoria, Connecticut living a life free of crime. One major problem, Hailey's big brother Rocky decides to tag along.

The biggest issue in this book, is that it spends too much time trying to lay the groundwork for both families, and while it was fun to see all their past shenanigans, the plot and pacing suffer. The time jumps are all over the place and the book goes from moving at a glacial pace to suddenly flying through a whole month.

I liked Phoebe and Rocky as characters, however I did not enjoy them as a couple. I wanted them to be steamy, toxic and pining for each other when in reality we got a dollar store Lo & Lily. The tension felt forced and both characters felt a lot younger than they were supposed to be.

My favourite part of the book was when all the siblings were together, and I wish the authors had brought them in a lot earlier. I hope we see the authors delve in deeper to the siblings, especially with the revelation at the end of the book!

The plot twist was completely unexpected, which I always love when a book surprises me!

Overall, I think if you're fans of the 'Addicted' Series by the authors, you'll probably find this an okay read. What was an interesting premise was bogged down with too much information thrown at us. But the writing is decent in places and this book does set up the sequel nicely, so I'll definitely be continuing the series for the time-being.

I received an advanced copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The concept of the two con artist family and the backstory was unique and different and kept me intrigued although that was about it. For 450 pages this really read as a giant intro to a much bigger series and don’t expect any questions to be answered because you will be left hanging on the biggest cliff hanger ever.

I really enjoyed the characters and the dynamics between them but a lot of things felt repetitive and some part were hyped up a bit too much where I felt a little let down when we came to find out what actually happened (like the job that shall not be named) then we finally get to the final 10%, everything happens and we get not a single answer and are left with more questions 😅

All in all I feel it’s hard to rate this book because you clearly have to continue with the series to get anywhere but I will be continuering my only regret is that I now have no idea how long I’ll have to wait.

this book was great!!! it was a great romance with a touch of thrill and forbidden love. i loved the character dynamics a lot!! and the way krista and becca wove the present with snippets of the past was greatly done as well. the characters felt really real, which made the reading experience a rollercoaster of emotions.

im truly excited to continue the series once book two is out.

i hate that I need to wait so long to get the next book but I love everything about this new world and these characters. no one writes found family quite like Krista and Becca Ritchie 🍓❤️
this is an amazing start to what I am sure will be an amazing series, and I feel blessed to say I could read it in advance

2* disappointing

I particularly enjoy a story about the cleverness of con artists, there’s usually a complicated plot involving numerous criminals, the anticipation of reeling in a victim with added tension of split second organisation to cover all eventualities. That's what I hoped for with Dishonestly Yours.

Hailey and Phoebe were supposed to be highly successful scammers, yet their attempt to break loose from controlling parents seemed completely unplanned. In their Great Escape to an honest life they have no money, rent a studio apartment they can’t afford and find low paying employment. Even the chapters about their past scans which were
supposed to be intriguing, ended up unbelievable.

Hailey began as a primary character but she soon merged into the background because most of the book concentrated on Rocky and Phoebe’s, ‘will they or won’t they’ relationship. We're supposed to accept that for years they'd suppressed their feelings for each other after their mothers wanted them to get together, so they perversely refused to do so.

The writing was repetitive and slow, only the final chapter demonstrated how well these two authors can write.

Except. This is the first instalment of a series, the book ended with a whopping great cliffhanger.

Other readers might not object, I think a warning of a cliffhanger should be made absolutely clear in the synopsis.

3.5 stars

This was my first book from Krista and Becca Ritchie and I can totally see why people love their books.
The writing style was good, it was quite funny at times (I laughed out loud at times and was grinning on my plane ride!) and I enjoyed reading it very much.
The plot - this whole con artist family thing - was the best part in my opinion! I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I found it to be very very interesting and liked figuring out how they would pull all of the jobs off. I got a little emotional in the end.
Unfortunately I didn't really feel a connection to the characters and their chemistry, which of course is important for a romance book. Hailey was the most interesting character in my opinion, I kept thinking that I would've liked her POV more. Phoebe felt shallow (and I'm very sorry to say that about a female character with her past and what she went through) and her and Rockys back and forth got in my nerves to the point that I didn't care if they ended up together or not. I felt like we were told that they would be so perfect for each other instead of shown.
Also there couldn't have been an unsexier name than Rocky..

The ending was almost a cliffhanger, which made me want to read the next book and I probably will.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Pan Macmillan for the eARC!
