I really enjoyed this book overall, I felt a range of emotions when reading which made me empathise more with Margo throughout,

I absolutely loved this book … great writing style that captured me from the start . Margo falls pregnant after an ill fated affair with her college teacher Mark - he urges her to abort the pregnancy but Margo decides to go ahead and brings her son Bisho into the world. Not having thought through the financial side of things she soon finds herself struggling to make her rent and buy the basics ….. randomly her mainly absent father turns up on her doorstep and things take a turn of events. Margo finds herself launching herself into the work of Only Fans where making money comes easy. This book touches on single parent motherhood, Only Fans and relationships in more ways than one I devoured in a day and would recommend highly

I struggled a little to get into this book but after getting past the back story is when I really was interested. I really liked Margo, she was relatable, open about herself and enjoyable to read. She stuck to her guns and rarely let people put her down.
I did struggle a little with the changes from 1st to 3rd person and for me I didn’t really understand the reasoning for it.
I loved Jinx, he wasn’t perfect and had many faults but he was reliable when he needed to be and supported Margo through her venture. I can see this being a truly popular book with many people when it is released.

Margo's got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe features an endearing protagonist who you really root for in finding her way as this novel progresses.

definitely a 4.5 stars here, i think this is pretty incredible there were just a few things that i didn’t really like such as some of the references to social media sites made me cringe a little and made it seem like the author was putting them in for the sake of it.
other than that though, wow is all i can say. i really throughly enjoyed this and have told multiple of my book friends to read this when it is published!
the rollercoaster of emotions i felt throughout this book had me hooked every second.
can’t wait to read more of Rufi Thorpe’s books now!!

This was the wrestling and OnlyFans crossover I didn’t know I needed - with the best description of TikTok I’ve ever read thrown in the mix too! This was my first Rufi Thorpe, and I won’t be stopping here. Margo was so relatable and empathetic, and I learned a lot about the ‘kayfabe’ of wrestling - which was really timely, as I’ve just seen Iron Claw in the cinema, which has gotten me surprisingly interested in this sport-entertainment!
I also loved the idea of the cake with the hidden pump inside…

So excited for this one especially since it is going to be tuned into a series. I love David E Kelley’s work and I think Nicole Kidman will do a great job with this role. I look forward to,sharing my full thoughts an$ review on this one. I have been experiencing some health issues and unfortunately got on bit behind on reviews but I am slowly catching up and so many of us are hurting financially at the moment so I’m sure it will resonate with people.

‘What kind of truth would require this many lies to tell?’
I absolutely tore through this book, I didn’t want to put it down because I felt such a connection to the characters that I wanted to see what would happen next. I especially liked the relationship between Margo and her father. I appreciated the comparison the author drew between pro-wrestling and sex work, examining what it means for a body to be commodified and how society treats those whose bodies are consumed for entertainment.
Overall, I found the story very moving and appreciated some of the more meta bits that looked at writing and storytelling itself. There was some really stunning language and I found myself highlighting lots of passages. The last line in particular blew me away.
