A new series by Devney Perry!!?! Count me in. 😍

It’s not surprising that I loved this because I am a big Devney Perry fan! West and Indya met as children when Indya would visit his family’s Montana resort. This alternated between then and now which I felt was perfect for this story.

Indya and West's story has a lot of heartache and loss. I wanted to give them both hugs while I was reading. West is a swoony MMC and he is going on my list of top book boyfriends!

I love Devney's writing and how she is able to set the scenes. If I could travel to Haven River Ranch I would do it in a heartbeat! I will be patiently (jk who are we kidding) impatiently waiting for the next book in this series!

Read if you love
- second chances

- friends to lovers
- cowboys

This book is narrated by Samantha Brentmoor & Connor Crais. I thought they did a great job at bringing Indya and West to life!

Crossroads is out June 4th! You are going to want to read this one.

Thank you so much to Netgalley, Devney Perry , and Brilliance Audio for the ALC

No one writes small town romance quite like Devney Perry! I really enjoyed the second chance romance between West and Indya...there was tension, a little enemies to lovers when reunite years later, and all the spice. I love that we also have a past and present timeline and POV from both characters. The scenery is so descriptive with the Ranch is Montana being its own character. I long to visit Montana thanks to Devney's writing!

Loved this small town second chance romance! I read this in one day because I couldn’t put it down. This is also an enemies to lovers because our FMC is taking over our mmc’s family ranch which he is not happy about. Devney did an excellent job of building tension between these two and I looked forward to all of the flash back chapters to when they were kids. I’ll definitely read any other books in this series!

I was thrilled to get the new audiobook by Devney Perry and it didn't disappoint. This small town, second chance cowboy romance following West and Indya was so sweet that I couldn't help cheering for our two main characters to hurry up and get back together because the tension between the two was so strong! The audiobook was beautifully done with both narrators doing an excellent job. I am a huge fan of this author and can't wait for the series to continue.

Crossroads by Devney Perry
Narrators: Samantha Brentmoor, Connor Crais
Rating: 4 stars

Crossroads is the first book in Devney Perry's new Haven River Ranch series, and it did not disappoint! This story of love, loss, and second chances was addictive, and I couldn’t stop listening. Thank you so much to Netgalley, Devney Perry, and Brilliance Publishing for my complimentary audiobook.

As a child, Indya traveled to Montana every summer to visit West’s family’s ranch. They quickly formed a friendship that evolved into more over the years, but only when Indya would visit. When she returns this last time, it’s not for a vacation but as the new owner.

The story follows the reunion of these childhood friends turned lovers turned enemies on the picturesque backdrop of a Montana ranch. From the moment they set eyes on each other again, old feelings come rushing back, and the tension crackles between them.

The story is told from both Indya and West’s perspectives, as well as past and present timelines. I love the way Perry did this because it gives readers a chance to unravel the layers of West and Indya's complex history. The suspense and mystery surrounding the ranch add an intriguing element to the story, which kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end.

The vivid descriptions of the Montana ranch and the heartfelt emotions between Indya and West leap off the page, making it impossible not to laugh, cry, and swoon along with them. The “I hate you, but not really” steamy moments were also a highlight of the story for me!

Overall, this friends-to-enemies-to-lovers story was a great start to this new series! It left me captivated and anticipating returning to the Haven River Ranch in the next installment.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Brilliance Publishing for my complimentary audiobook.

Well. That was just lovely. I’m not usually a big fan of dual timelines, but it worked here. Loved hearing the back story of our second chance romance for our couple, and slowly getting more and more information as we go on. The exploration of grief and loss was tragic, and as I’ve lost a parent, it resonated with me. The angst and tension was delicious. The setting of a Montana ranch with mountains was just what I needed.

The narration was lovely. Definitely recommend.

“Get it back!” The voicemail convo that GUTTED ME!

In short, this was my first and def not my last by this author.

Now onto the review….

What a great audiobook. I’ve been hiding from the influx of cowboy novels everywhere because they a̶r̶e̶ n̶o̶t̶ 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 not my thing, at least I didn’t think they were.

West and Indya’s relationship felt so authentic, especially when I think about the flashbacks to their childhood when they first met during her vacation to the ranch in Montana. She had a crush on him from the moment she met him.

Things have changed between them, they aren’t even friends anymore. They are older and sometimes with age….there are more complications….big expensive complications. It gave me #yellowstone vibes with the failing ranch.

The more intimate scenes were 🔥🔥🔥.

I liked how the chapters change between both West and Indya’s POVS.

I loved the #girlboss vibes from Indya.

Then the bombshell around the 65% mark made me sad. Like that betrayal. Ugh I just couldn’t. Despite that there was still a piece of love for a human as just that, despite the circumstance. The breaking of the relationship though, I felt that broken feeling in my soul. Ugh then at 75% I’m like gah!!!

Needless to say I was very invested in this book. I felt like I knew all of the characters. Emotionally drained.

Get you a partner who is there for you through the moments that really matter. ❤️

The dedication they do in the epilogue in the field was so sweet. I just loved it.

Crossroads is the first book in the Haven River Ranch series. It is a second chance, small town, cowboy, childhood best friends to lovers, to enemies to lovers, romance. The dual POV switching from West to Indya and going from past to present gave a great insight into their history.

They were both great characters separately but when they came together the tension, the angst, the unresolved feelings made for such a magnetic relationship. The side characters were also really great.

This book is also deeper than just a romance, some deeper themes are being explored such as loss, grief and tragedy. The setting Devney created for this book was great and i'm excited to continue.

🎧 The narration by Samantha Brentmoor & Connor Crais was really good. They played their characters amazingly. Connor Crais had the perfect rugged cowboy manly voice. He was perfect for it. I think they made for a great listening experience.

✨️ Thank you to @netgalley, Brilliance Publishing & @devneyperry for my gifted ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Devney Perry is the queen of small town romance and this book was so much to listen to. I thought the narrators were great and were engaging with the story flow and really added emotion where needed whether it was tension or humor or romance.

They story was engaging and I really loved it. I really liked that this felt like a Devney Perry story but with a unique storyline. I loved the past lovers, secret romance, small town boy and city girl romance. I really liked how we see the relationship progression from childhood to adults and the moments together from the past and them meeting again in the future. so when she takes over and buys his family ranch and decides to help them turn it over, he's not pleased with his father or her but I liked that being together again reminded them of how good they are together and sadly how much time they missed together and how differently their lives went but they were always meant to be
and they always come back to each other. Now they are both more mature and get that chance to form a life in the place where they fell in love and felt the most happy. I loved the side characters. the longing, the tension, the hurt, the pining. this is truly my favorite book of devney this year and top of hers of all time. I loved their story and how perfectly it ended for them and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. Crossroads is so good and I cannot wait to reread it in paperback on release day. fans of devney will love this book and I cannot recommend it enough!

I really enjoyed this audiobook!

I love how well Devney Perry writes these small town stories. Everyone knows each other, you get wrapped up in the characters and think of them when the story ends too.

I enjoyed the romance between West and Indya and the spice was perfectly done. Their romance and passion was completely believable and I rooted for them the entire time.

This was my first book by Devney Perry and it did not disappoint. This book had me longing for long, quiet days spent outside in nature. The imagery that she used to create the setting of Crossroads is idyllic.

What to expect:
- small town
- second chance
- opposites attract
- cowboy mmc
- workplace

Plot:
Indya and West have known each other since they were kids. She vacationed nearly every year on the ranch that West’s family owned and operated. But something happened and they haven’t seen each other in years when Indya buys his family ranch and resort. She swore she would never go back after what happened but she had to.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story about love, loss, and second chances. If I could take a trip to Haven River Ranch, I would do it tomorrow.

I listened to this on audiobook and have to say that Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais are why I rated this so high. Their voice acting is elite. And there is just something about CC’s voice that is so rugged and masculine which was perfect for this character.

devney perry created a yummy small town romance that was completely bingable. this was a quick, swoony, spicy, and emotional romance that was filled with pinning between two childhood friends turned enemies to lovers. i loved the shared history these two had with one another. the dual timeline was so special and painted a wonderful backstory for this second chance romance. the forced proximity was too good! i did feel that the ending was a little bit rushed and i would have liked a bit more groveling but this was a wonderful read and left a great opening for the next book in the series!!!
i really enjoyed the audiobook! they really brought this book to life!! i would highly recommend!!!

Indya grew up taking family vacations at Haven River Ranch in Montana. This time she is back not as a visitor but as a new owner and she has to face her unwavering feelings for West.

This story was deeply moving and filled with so much angst and tension. I was not expecting so much heartache in a Devney Perry book! Not only do you get Indya and West’s POVs in the present, but there are also chapters set in the past, so you get glimpses of the two growing up together and understand their special connection. I always love a cowboy romance, and I was immediately transported to this ranch and quickly understood why it was so special to Indya. The audiobook, narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais, was perfect!

I really enjoyed this! I picked it up and it immediately sucked me into the story!

There was so much I loved about this book and I’m so excited that it’s the start to a new series! Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais did a fantastic job with the narration.

I really enjoyed how the story was told in their flashbacks as well as in the present. Indy and West met when her family continually vacationed at West’s family’s resort. I loved picturing the resort and Indya’s family’s special relationship with Montana.

Indya and West reunited when he finds out she’s purchased his family’s resort and farm.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ALC. Devney Perry fans will be satisfied with her latest series debut. I'm so excited for the rest.
This series reminded me of a cross of The Edens and the Runaways series. The audio was a knock-out as well, as long as you can ignore Texas native Indy's New York accent 😉
Tropes:

Indya grew up going to a ranch in Montana for vacation with her parents. This time she goes back, but she’s the owner. She has to deal with running into her first love, and deal with why she left Texas. The story is told in alternative timelines; present and a year when she visited the ranch when she was a kid. This book had depth with themes of loss & tragedy, but it also has so much romance and chemistry and tension. I can’t wait to read book 2!
