An interesting tale of two doctors and their brush with stardom when one of their pregnant celebrity clients wants them to provide on hand support at several functions. An easy read
Oh I do love a Mills and Boon and this one lives up to the well deserved hype.
We follow Dr Jared and midwife Sky, as they take on a celebrity client. Jared and Sky have been working together for a few months and Sky has been flirting away with him while Jared has kept a very stiff upper lip. The time spent together brings feelings to the surface for both of them, and the story follows what happens next.
I loved this book, it was a quick read, well written and thought out with enough side plots to keep it interesting along with main headline plot. Will be recommending to anyone who loves a good romance, especially a medical romance. I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy!
This book is book one in the Nashville Midwives series. I throughly enjoyed the slow burn romance that occurred in this book between a midwife (Sky) and a doctor (Jared). There romance was filled with ups and downs but it only added interesting tension and entertainment while reading.
I really loved reading about the main characters while they were at work as this author shows an immaculate level of expertise while the main characters are performing at work.
Sky was always interested in Jared and secretly I think Jared was too but he was scared to see what it could become due to his upbringing. Their romance started as they had been assigned a job together to look after a country star throughout her pregnancy. Them being in this sort of forced proximity heightened the feelings they had or even in Jared’s case revealed them.
I would thoroughly recommend this book and I can’t wait for the next one in the series!
I loved this sweet medical romance and will be looking out for Book 2 of Nashville Midwives.
Thank you to NetGalley and to Mills and Boon for allowing me to read this lovely romance in exchange for an honest review.
An original take. A talented medical duo are thrust in front of the cameras to be the doctor and midwife duo for an expectant couple in a tv show. Alongside this amazing media circus are two people trying to do a good job in a maternity unit. Sky is portrayed as lighthearted and fin, and Jared sees this as flighty and thinks she is a tease. The journey to show her in a tuer light is lovely, and a near death experience always helps focus the mind. The new Jared is a little quick to act lighter but it is nice to see.
A rather twee, sweet romance between a midwife and a doctor and with additional themes of country and western music and reality tv.
I love a mills and boon and this medical really fits the series brief. Strong female and male leads with decent back stories that make them vulnerable but also guarded. I enjoyed the pace of the book and the author really brought to life the worry of the maternity suite. I didn't like the fact that one minute he hated her and then he proposed. I think there could have been a little more build up and maybe a few more steamy sessions before the proposal.
