I enjoyed the first part of this book. Once it changed in to the second part and added new characters, it felt like reading a whole new book again. It didn't flow smoothly.

Thank you NetGalley and Joffe Books for the eARC.
The book starts off with a bang, but there were so many different characters in the rest of the book I was getting confused. Besides that I just couldn't get into the story and ended up skipping to the end. Pity, I really liked the author's other books I read.

It took me a while to write this review because I am not sure how I felt about it. The storyline and outcome seemed a bit convoluted. I enjoyed to pace of this book and the premise had potential and all in all was well executed but may have fallen a bit flat towards the end. I felt Ike there was a rush to tie up a few loose ends and it didn’t really work.
I loved the investigation chapters, it felt like I was watching an episode of Law and Order, one of the most well written investigations I’ve read.

A beginning of she said, he said , what was actually going on.
A gripping beginning of intrigue. A good action pack story,
I found this story harder to get into then his other books I have read
Given arc by Net Galley and Joffe for my voluntary review.

Thank you Joffe Books and NetGalley for an early copy of The Perfect Fiancé. This was NOT what I expected at all. The first two chapters were very intense, then I was confused throughout most of the book. Towards the end of the book it all made sense and WOW what a plot but it took too long for me to appreciate the plot. More of a thriller than a psychological but I’m glad I stuck with it.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.

Julie doesn’t have much time to process anything, because two men have broken into her home. Her and her alleged Fiancé are forced into a white van, and driven to a remote cabin. There isn’t any way for her to escape, and Julie isn’t sure she can trust her own memories…
Review:
Brearton has written a page turner for roughly the first 50% of the book. However, at about the 50% mark I wasn’t able to stretch my suspension of disbelief any longer. The writing in the book is very good, in spite of this story not being 100% believable. Though, to the books credit things that seem irrelevant do eventually become relavent.
If I hadn’t received this for review, I probably would have put it down around the 50% mark. While Netgalley doesn’t make it an obligation to finish or leave a review, I wanted to finish it because I felt like that would be fair to the author. As an author myself, I understand that all reviews are critical to a release. I want to reiterate, the book is well written. The protagonist Julie is compelling and I found myself rooting for her the whole way through, even the parts I was bored.
The book is told through multiple POVs, which I’ll admit, is my favorite way to read a thriller. I don’t want to give much away here, but it was nice to get in almost all of the characters heads. I honestly at times did not know who to trust, and that is how I managed to get through it all.

First book I have read from this author and now I can’t wait to read more. This was a fantastic read which had a bit of everything with suspense built from start to finish. I was very interested to know how the story was going to go it was such an original plot which was writing amazingly. I will definitely be looking out for more from this very talented writer. This was an excellent read and I can’t wait to recommend it. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my advanced copy.

Good book!! And from my favorite publisher again!! Joffe books! They put out the best books!! This book had suspense, intrigue, action packed, kidnapping, murder, mystery, a bit of a who done it and some crazy twists and turns! Loved that really crazy twist at the end!! I highly recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and Joffe books for sharing this book with me!
I walk into my bedroom. There’s a woman in my bed. Next to my fiancé. He promises her he has no idea who I am. That he’s never seen me before. He’s calling me a stalker. But before I even know how to respond, someone’s breaking down the front door. Pounding up the stairs. I run, but I can’t hide. Now I’m trapped in a cabin in the middle of nowhere in the midst of a blizzard with a man who swears he doesn’t know me. As though the last five years together never happened He’s lying! And then he looks me right in the eye and whispers so our kidnappers can’t hear him ‘I’m sorry!!"
