I devoured this series in the span of just a few days. Thank you so much NetGalley and Quercus for a digital ARC of book 3.
We got to know Teddy and Ryder in the previous books, but now it's their turn to fall in love. The two of them couldn't be more different, and if they end up near each other, they might end up killing the other. However, when Teddy needs a job and Ryder needs a nanny, it seems the perfect solution for their friends having them work together.
Teddy and Ryder though don't think so. However, the more time they spend together, the more they realise they complement each other's lives and personalities. It doesn't take long for them to fall in love, but now they need to deal with the friends and family who might not be as happy for them.
This book is full of angst, and the verbal war between Teddy and Ryder is hilarious. The book ends on a cliffhanger, so I can't wait to read what will happen in the next book.
I will start by saying I enjoyed this book, I love this series and these characters, and I can't wait for book 4. However, I was maybe a little disappointed, I felt there was something missing, maybe I needed a little more enemies before lovers lol. It could be that I have been anticipating this book so much after reading about Teddy and Gus in the 1st two that maybe I was expecting more tension or angst or something.
Maybe I needed a little more enemies before the lovers. BUT… don't let that deter you. That's just MY feelings on it. It doesn't take away from the story or that I really did enjoy the book.
Teddy and Gus hate each other. The 1st two books of the series were filled with their digs at each other, and it was honestly brilliant. Teddy always had a comment to make, and Gus always had a comeback. So when Gus' workload becomes too much and he has his daughter full time for the summer, his family makes him take some help. That help happens to be Teddy as a part-time babysitter/nanny. Teddy has just lost her job and already feels behind in life compared to other people, so working for Gus is not appealing, but she adores his daughter Riley and figures hanging out with this cute kid can't be bad, even if she has to put up with her grumpy dad.
As Teddy takes care of Riley and spends those more quiet moments at night with Gus, they are finally able to see a different side to each other. A side that they both understand, as Gus has the responsibility of the ranch and his daughter and Teddy cares for her sick dad. Being responsible for so much around them allows them to start to lean on each other.
I love a single dad trope, but one of my biggest hates is that they also usually always have ex-wife or baby mama drama, and I LOVE that we don't get that in this. It's such a relief to read a single dad romance with no ex trying to sabotage the relationship or cause problems. In fact, Rileys mum, Cam, is fully supportive of Teddy and Gus' relationship. Gus and Cam are amazing co-parents who care deeply for each other like family, and they ultimately just want each other to be happy.
Overall, I absolutely recommend this entire series!!
I’ll take a grumpy cowboy any day…
As the saying goes you know, save the horse…😉
I loved being back in the Rebel Blue world! Gus was the grumpy,co-parenting, older sibling trying to hold the whole world on his shoulders. Then in comes absolute powerhouse, hurricane Teddy and just transforms his and little Riley’s life for the best. They both just fit so well together that I wanted more!!
It was hilarious seeing the others react to Gus and Teddy falling in love. Absolutely top notch!
I highly recommend, the book delivered with the romance and whole lot of wholesomeness 🩷
p.s v excited for the next one! Cam and Dusty I’m already in love!
<i> Thank you Netgalley for the eARC!!

Thank you so much for the ARC.
My absolute favourite out of the series, Teddy has been my favourite character since book one and I’m so happy with this, it is done so well🫶🏼
Lost and Lassoed - Lyla Sage
I devoured this book in two sittings, I couldn't get enough of the characters. I felt the head clashing and personality differences worked so perfectly together. Teddy is louder than life and Gus just needed to accept what was right in front of him. Having read one other of the books in this series it was nice to revisit these characters, but it is not necessary to have read the other books to enjoy this one as a stand alone. Thanks so much Netgalley and Quercus Books for this e-arc in return for my honest thoughts and opinions

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC, you knew I’d been waiting for this!
Oh my heart 🥹 This is one of those books that’s so highly anticipated you feel an excited rush of adrenaline before starting, and for me that feeling continued the whole way through! I devoured it 🤭
I knew Teddy & Gus would be my favourite couple from the moment we met them, but this exceeded all my expectations! Lyla’s writing has improved so much, I loved every second! Absolutely the best book of the series & honestly one of my favourite romances of all time ❤️ I can’t recommend it enough, you’re all in for a TREAT 🙌🏼
Lost & Lassoed is out 5th November! Mark your calendars 🗓️
Hi thank you for the chance to read the third book of the series,
I loved the first two books so to get to read this one before it even came out was amazing.
I love the writing style of the author the work she has put in to the two main characters was outstanding she portrayed the fmc brilliantly, she showed how it felt to be left behind by everyone as they moved on to the next stages of there life. The emotions that teddy felt through the first 3/4 of the book really spoke to me as I felt everything she was writing and even shed a tear when she wrote about teddy fearing for her dad that hit me quite hard. The mmc Gus was like grumpy sunshine I loved the banter between him and teddy and reading how there relationship blossomed into something beautiful, through there ups and downs was done so wonderfully good. I couldn't put this book down once I started reading.
My only problem and this is a me thing nothing to do with the author was that the intimate scenes between teddy and Gus were a little cringy at times and the pet name Gus gave teddy was not my cup of tea but again that is a me problem everything else was just amazing loved the book and can't wait to read other books by this author.
Gus is the eldest son of the Ryder family and is expected to take over the Rebel Blue Ranch. He has a wonderful six-year-old daughter, Riley, whom he co-parents with Cam, a woman he had a one-night stand with that resulted in their cherished child. Now, Cam has secured a summer internship at a major law firm in the city, leaving Gus to navigate single fatherhood for the first time. Between managing the ranch, family commitments, and having Riley full-time, he's struggling to keep his head above water.
On the other hand, Teddy has been quietly going through a tough time. The only person she confided in was her best friend, Emmy, who is now preoccupied with her own life, work, and fiancé. Recently fired from a job she thought was perfect, Teddy feels increasingly stuck and left behind, especially when comparing herself to those around her. She's in a mental downward spiral when Emmy ropes her into an unusual arrangement: being Riley's babysitter for the summer to help Gus.
I absolutely fell in love with Gus and Teddy. Their antics and verbal sparring were hilarious, and the tension and banter added to the sweetness of their slow-building relationship. One of my favorite aspects, both in real life and in books, is seeing characters learn, investigate, and change their minds, admitting they were wrong. It requires maturity and understanding, and this book exemplifies that beautifully. Characters who initially believe they have the whole truth realize their perspectives were skewed and negligent.
This book is more than just an enemies-to-lovers story; it delves into heavier topics and contains more angst than previous installments in the series. Teddy's relationship with her father plays a significant role, paralleling Gus's relationship with Riley. The garage scene was particularly moving and felt like a tribute to good fathers. While the romance is central, the book's exploration of Teddy and Gus's struggles with control, friendships, feeling needed, and anxieties about their fathers adds a depth that surpasses the earlier books in the series.
The more I read from this series, the more I crave. I highly recommend this book and eagerly anticipate Cam and Dusty's story.
4.5 stars!
Ever since book one, this has been an anticipated read for me and Lyla did not disappoint at all.
The first two books served as a build up for this one and the bickering was so much fun to read
* enemies to lovers
* small town
* cowboy romance
* close proximity
* best friends brother
The story developed beautifully and it felt natural in the way they got together. The friendship between Teddy and Riley was so cute and the father/daughter relationship between Gus and Riley was adorable.
The ending of the book definitely left me shocked and set it up perfectly for the next book in the series.
Thank you NetGalley and Quercus Books for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is my second favorite from the series so far. Teddy and Gus' story was one of my most anticipated ones.
It's funny how Lyla managed to write these books and I can find aspects of myself and my life in each and everyone one of them. It's like I can connect with each character even from a very small thing.
This story is a enemies to lovers and I absolutely adored it! I think it's my first one about a "single" dad. Actually thought it was not my thing, but it's not bad. It was not the central part of the book, it was more the love a father has for his daughter.
What I like the most about Lyla's books is her descriptions of the land, the ranch, and the feelings the I now have when reading. They make me feel at peace, and that everything will be ok.
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have read this book now, and I can't wait for the next one in the Rebel Blue Ranch.
Thank you NetGalley for this free arc in exchange for an honest review!
This book follows Gus and Teddy. This is a classic enemies to lovers with a touch of single dad. It gives cosy rainy day reading vibes and I’m here for it!
Great book! 5 stars easily. Loved the characters, such a perfect blend of strength and vulnerability. The setting on a ranch was perfect and the extra characters made me want more stories! Now back to the first 2 books in this series :)
Title: Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage
Release Date: November, 5th, 2024
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Stars
In the highly anticipated next instalment of the Rebel Blue Ranch series, "Done and Dusted" and "Swift and Saddled" author, Teddy Andersen and Gus Ryder find themselves in an unexpected predicament. While Teddy thrives in chaos and Gus prefers routine, their only common ground is their mutual disdain for each other.
Teddy, a go-with-the-flow type, suddenly finds herself facing unexpected challenges—a broken sewing machine, a damaged vintage jacket, and the news of her best friend's engagement. Feeling left behind, she questions whether her small-town life is still fulfilling.
Meanwhile, Gus is struggling to manage his family's ranch and care for his spirited six-year-old daughter for the summer. As responsibilities pile up, he realises he needs help, even if it means turning to Teddy, whom he can't stand.
As Teddy seeks clarity about her future and Gus grapples with overwhelming duties, they are thrown into each other's orbit. Despite their initial animosity, sparks fly, and they start to see each other in a new light.
As tensions rise and emotions simmer, they must decide whether to act on their newfound feelings or risk getting burned.
Lyla Sage delivers another captivating cowboy romance that will leave you hooked from start to finish! I do not know what this author puts in her books but oh my word, it is addictive!
What I loved:
* Compelling Characters: Teddy and Gus are brilliantly crafted characters with contrasting personalities that spark tension and chemistry, making their enemies-to-lovers journey irresistible.
* Forced Proximity: The forced proximity trope adds an extra layer of intensity to the romance, creating a perfect setup for heated interactions and unexpected discoveries.
* Addictive Writing: Sage's writing style is addictive, drawing readers into the story and keeping them glued to the pages until the very end.
* Sizzling Chemistry: The chemistry between Teddy and Gus is palpable, with sparks flying off the pages and heating up every scene they share.
* Heartfelt Moments: Amidst the fiery banter and steamy romance, there are also heartfelt moments that tug at your heartstrings, adding depth and emotional resonance to the story.
* Perfect Blend of Spice: The romance is infused with just the right amount of spice, making every encounter between Teddy and Gus electrifying and unforgettable.
If you're a fan of cowboy romances that sizzle with passion and charm, "Lost and Lassoed" is a must-read. Sage delivers a story that will leave you craving more cowboy love stories.

Thank you to The Publisher Quercus Books | Quercus ,The Author Lyla Sage & NetGalley for an advanced reader copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest review.
I had high expectations going into this…….. and it did not disappoint!!! Gus and teddy are my favourite characters in this series.
Thank you for the opportunity to review this book!
I have heard a lot about this series and I do love a good cowboy romance, so was very excited to read the third book in the Rebel Ranch series early. This book follows the story of Teddy, Emmy's bestfriend, and Gus, one of Emmy's brothers. Throughout the first two books in the series, Teddy and Gus are constantly making digs at each other, and seem to hate one another. But who doesn't love a good enemies to lovers trope!
I liked how the relationship between Teddy and Gus developed, but would say that the enemies to lovers happened a little too quickly for my liking and could have potentially been a little longer. Gus also has a daughter, Riley, from a previous one night stand, and I absolutely loved the relationship between Teddy and Riley, and was nice to see Cam, Riley's mum, being supportive of Gus throughout the book.
Overall I really enjoyed reading this book, and can't wait for the next in the series to come out!
★★★★★ (5 stars)
Miss Sage, you have outdone yourself.
Absolute 5 star cowboy deliciousness. I need more - get me a copy of Wild and Wrangled immediately!
Gus and Teddy are the perfect storm. Everything about this book fell into place with such delightful chaos. I fell in love with the way their relationship transformed, but also somewhat stayed the same in the funniest, sexiest way?
I love a tie-in series, so I was naturally over the moon with the appearances of Emmy & Brooks, Ada & Wes, and of course Amos and Hank! Not to mention the cutie that is Riley. I feel like the level of depth and care put into every single character shines through in the whole Rebel Blue Series, but especially within Lost and Lassoed.
The vibes are immaculate. I am packing my bags for Meadowlark as I type.
My heart is full, my cowboy boots are on, somebody please point me in the direction of the nearest bar with a bucking bronco.
(Huge thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book! The above opinions are entirely my own.)
🤠 Lost & Lassoed - Lyla Sage 🤠
I would have done absolutely anything to get my hands on this book and the minute I saw the ARC go live the NetGalley gods provided!
This is the third book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series and by far the best yet (the other two are absolutely amazing so this was a hard feat).
Gus’ story was one I’ve been waiting for with bated breath. He’s a grumpy older cowboy and a single dad who’s falling for his little sister’s best friend and long time nemesis Teddy. The build up for these two has been ongoing since book one so I would seriously recommend starting from there to get the full effect. The couple are amazing, the storyline and tropes are 👌🏼 and the book covers being stunning is a real bonus. As usual I laughed out loud at multiple parts of the story and was nearly crying at others. These cowboy books are something else and if you aren’t part of the hype you need to be 🔥
Thank you so much to @netgalley and @authorlylasage for my advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
Absolutely loved it! My favourite in the series! I can’t wait for the next one, that cliffhanger at the end was cruel but I loved it! 4.5 stars!
KICKING. SCREAMING. MELTING.
The one I have been waiting for since reading Done and Dusted, and it did not disappoint! My absolute favourite of the three, even though the others are really good too.
Teddy and Gus are just polar opposites and their hateful banter made me laugh so many times, but when they start to connect it's obvious how perfect for each other they are. The fact that they bond over loving Riley is the sweetest, as she's the best kid.
One thing Lyla Sage knows how to write well and hit you in the feels with is found family, and I absolutely love all the characters and how they find homes not only within this tiny town but each other.
There's a conversation Teddy has with her best friend Emmy that literally brought tears to my eyes, if that's not a sign of great writing I don't know what is. Honourable mention to the scene where they put the flowers on the curtains!
The Rebel Blue Ranch books are swoony, sweet, spicy and everything i'm looking for when wanting a cowboy romance. But i wouldn't narrow it down to just that - a romance. It's much more. It's full of hope and character development which is brilliant.
I'm really looking forward to Cam and Dusty's story.
I'm a huge fan of the Rebel Blue Ranch series. Books 1 and 2, I absolutely demolished. However book 3, Lost and Lassoed, exceeded all of my expectations and became my favourite of the series. Teddy and Gus are the dreamiest couple, but are also so interesting separately, meaning I wasn't always desperate to get them back together in a scene, as they kept my interest peaked. Sensational pacing and overall one of my favourite reads of the year so far. SO GOOD!
