This might be favourite of the series so far. It was hard to put down. The potential was there for the pair throughout the first two books and then Teddy and Gus just gave me everything I wanted and more.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an arc, in exchange for an honest review.

Lyla Sage has done it again! The highly anticipated third installment of the Rebel Blue Ranch series is FANTASTIC! Gus and Teddy were the perfect enemies to lovers story. They are twin flames and the spicy scenes were ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ. I canโ€™t wait for Cam and Dustyโ€™s book. Thank you Netgalley and Random House for this ARC.

Lost & Lassoed - Lyla Sage
๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

LIKES
โ˜€๏ธ Fantastic tension and banter.
โ˜€๏ธ All the interactions with the Ryder family. I love them so much ๐Ÿ˜ญ
โ˜€๏ธ The ebbs and flows in Teddy and Emmyโ€™s friendship. Teddyโ€™s feelings around how their relationship changes is so real.
โ˜€๏ธ Every appearance of Teddyโ€™s dad. What an absolute angel.
โ˜€๏ธ While Gus is by no means my favourite LI, the way he interacts with his daughter is adorable.

DISLIKES
๐ŸŒ™ The journey from hate to love happened way too quickly. Once they kissed, it progressed like the speed of light. I wasnโ€™t a fan of how Gus called Teddy โ€œbabyโ€ literally non-stop from the moment they started hooking up either.

Done & Dusted 1000% reigns supreme in this series for me, but Iโ€™m super excited for Cam & Dustyโ€™s story next year!

Out of the three books that I read so farโ€ฆ from this other itโ€™s my favourite! Finally we get to resolve the tension between Teddy aka Theodora Anderson and Gus aka August Ryder. Even though they are complete opposite they share one thing. Their lives are a complete mess. Teddy just lost her Job and does not know what to do with her life now and Gus being a single parent of a six year old for the first time and being completely overwhelmed by it. Oh! And I forgot to mention these two canโ€™t stand one another. So of course the only solution isโ€ฆ Teddy becomes the new babysitter for our cutie Riley.
This book was just fun to read! I had a really good time and I was just flying through it! I can only recommend!

August Ryder and Theodora Andersen are enemies, but circumstances require them to coexist one summer at Rebel Blue Ranch. Shall this forced proximity lead to a melting of the misconstrued opinions about each other?

I couldn't put this book down!!! I have never read Lyla Sage or a cowboy romance before, but I have been missing out because this was, seriously, such an excellent book!

I love a good single dad story, and enemies-to-lovers is my top trope, so it is obvious why I loved this book. But it is also how this author is such an amazing writer. She made me fall in love with almost all the characters in this story. Everybody is so nice here, I will cry. Small-town romances have suddenly become a trope I am loving, and Rebel Blue Ranch is going to be one of my top favourite fictional small towns. I loved Gus, Riley, and Teddy so much!! Riley is the cutest soul! I love seeing kids in books.

The sweet and simple moments portrayed in this book won my heart. I loved reading about how the life of a person in a small town goes. The time Teddy spent with Riley, Teddy's dad, Gus, and Emmy made my heart full.

Gus is a big teddy bear, grumpy on the outside but a sweetheart on the inside. Teddy is such an amazing character! She brings so much to this story; she is the highlight, at least for me. I love her personality and humour. I wish I could have a friend like her in reality.

The smutty time was really good. I loved seeing Teddy's confidence and Gus's dominance.

I got tears in my eyes three times while reading this book. To be specific, I got teary-eyed somewhere at 63%, at the acknowledgments, and at the excerpt of Wild and Wrangled. I simply cannot wait for the fourth book, but meanwhile, I must go and read Done and Dusted and Swift and Saddled.ย

A billion thanks to the author and NetGalley for an ARC of this wonderful book!!

"Lost and Lassoed" is an engaging romance novel that perfectly captures the allure of the enemies-to-lovers trope. The story follows Teddy and Gus, who's constant clashes and witty banter set the stage for a dynamic and engaging narrative.

As the plot unfolds, the MCs are forced to work together and rely on each other, revealing hidden depths and vulnerabilities that gradually transform their relationship. The transition from animosity to affection is handled with finesse, making the protagonists' journey towards love both believable and deeply satisfying.

The book excels in character development, with each protagonist evolving in ways that are both realistic and endearing. Their chemistry is undeniable, fuelled by a blend of tension, humour, and heartfelt (and spicy) moments that keep readers hooked from start to finish. What's also refreshing is that the story wasn't only about the MCs but about their loved ones as well as their relationships and feelings.

Overall, "Lost and Lassoed" is a delightful read for anyone who enjoys a good enemies-to-lovers cowboy story.

I was very excited to read Gus and Teddyโ€™s story and Lyla did not disappoint. The small town/country vibes were immaculate and it made me want to lay about in the sunshine, collect wildflowers and ride horses through the mountains.

The sneaky little ways that Teddy and Gus were able to open up and show each other a different side of themselves was so cute. The banter and bickering was great but then being sweet to each other was even better.

I loved that it wasnโ€™t all about the MCs romantic love with each other, it was also about the other loves they have in their lives. Gus and his daughter, Teddy and her BFF Emmy and both of their relationships with their fathers. The little dedication Lyla wrote for her dad at the back of the books definitely had me shedding a few tears ๐Ÿฅฒ

Returning to Rebel Blue Ranch is like wrapping yourself in a warm hug. I was so excited to finally read the story of Teddy and Gus. Sage's best work so far - it was fun, emotional, honest, and sexy.

Where are the enemies-to-lovers and cowboy-romance girlies?! 'Cause this one is definitely for you! ๐Ÿค

Oh, how good it feels to be back at Rebel Blue Ranch ๐Ÿ’•
If you've enjoyed book 1 and 2 as much as me, then you know for sure what I'm talking about.
That feeling Lyla's books gives you is just *chef's kiss*

And if you know, then there's actually nothing I need to do to convince you to read Lost & Lassoed.
Gus and Teddy brings so much: happiness, sadness, love, trust, comfort, and of course: BANTER!
There are some seriously hilarious one-liners that made me laugh so hard ๐Ÿคฃ

I found it so hard to rate this book because I have loved every book in this series so far. I think I might love Wes and Ada just a smidge more though, that's why I settled on 4.5 stars!

Lyla Sage definitely knows how to write a good romance! I love all of the individual character quirks and hobbies and Iโ€™m loving seeing the bigger picture come together. Iโ€™m already excited for the next book!

Well, this book is the best in the series so far, and that's saying something because I loved the first two. Sure, there are a few little things I didn't like. For example, I'm going to purposely forget that Gus had a moustache. But overall, it was fantastic. It has everything I want in a small-town, cowboy romance.

I've been waiting for Teddy and Gusโ€™s story since the series started. They had a special spark that drew me in, and this book did them justice. Teddy is my kind of heroine, creative, outspoken, and tough as nails, but with a softer side she doesnโ€™t show often.

Gus is the grumpy cowboy type who shows love through acts of kindness and service. Heโ€™s sweet and tender when he wants to be, and those forehead kisses were adorable. Plus, heโ€™s got a dirty mouth that adds a perfect touch to his character.

The romance was steamy and even better than the last two books. I loved the addition of toys, it was a nice touch.

One thing that really stood out was the healthy co-parenting relationship between Gus and Cam. Itโ€™s the best Iโ€™ve seen in any book and added a nice element to the story.

The next book in the series is setting up to be a second chance romance between Cam and Dusty, and Iโ€™m all in for that.

In short, if you love small town cowboy romances, this book is a must-read. Great characters, spicy romance, and touching moments make it the best one yet. Canโ€™t wait for whatโ€™s next!

SPOILERS

I've read Sages books before and they are one of my favorite to recommend when people ask for romance. now i was so excited to read about Guss and Teddy's story, and i was HOOKED everything about it was just so amazing, it was so smooth to read every part of it fitted perfectly together.
the individual story lines slowly slotting together at the end was just perfect, personally i did think Teddy and Guss getting serious was quick, we had a couple of flirting scenes and then they where a couple, i thought there could be a couple more scenes but other then that the book was amazing!

Teddy and Gus are absolutely perfect together. Lyla Sage has once again built a wonderful Meadowlark world that fits seamlessly with the spiciness and banter. Sage creates characters that you truly want to get to know. Every book just gets better and better.

Lyla Sage's "Lost and Lassoed" is a tantalizing, fiery addition to the Rebel Blue Ranch series.
Teddy Andersen and Gus Ryder, opposites in every way, are thrust together in a whirlwind of chaos and routine, sparking intense emotions and undeniable chemistry. Their enemies-to-lovers journey is a masterclass in passion, from heated arguments to electric encounters that leave themโ€”and the readerโ€”breathless.
Sage excels in blending humor and tenderness, crafting a story where love blooms against a backdrop of small-town charm. This book is a rollercoaster of desire and heart, making it the most compelling installment yet.

Love, love, love! I absolutely loved the first book and Iโ€™m so glad to see this one is just as good. So fun to see lots of my favourite returning characters.

Before reading my review, know that I have not read any other books in the Rebel Blue Ranch series so I am not comparing this book to the others in the series, I am rating this purely as a standalone.

Unfortunately, as you can see by my rating, this was not the book for me. Even after two chapters I was considering dnfing but I pushed through hoping it would get better.

I did not like Gusโ€™ character in the slightest. In the beginning he had such a temper that it made me want to never pick up the book again, I would have guessed he was a teenager and not in his mid-thirties. The bickering and arguing between Gus and Teddy in the beginning never seemed to have reason, even at the end I wondered why they โ€˜hatedโ€™ each other to start with.

Teddy was definitely a better character but I still didnโ€™t like her. I could not get past the cringey daddy jokes she kept making to Gus, especially when she did it in front of Gusโ€™ child. She flirts with a vet while pursuing Gus, and she had two reasons for this. She wanted the vet to give the horse he was looking at the best care possible (which I didnโ€™t think made much sense) and the other explanation she gave was that she flirts with everyone. Both the daddy jokes and the flirting just put me off her character completely.

The cringe didnโ€™t stop at the daddy jokes, the sex scenes were worse. โ€œSaddle up, babyโ€ and โ€œAre you offering me a mustache ride?โ€ were the worst lines I've ever read in a sex scene.

I felt like their relationship couldโ€™ve progressed slower. One minute they were arguing, the next minute they were in a relationship. There wasnโ€™t really an in between.

There were a few redeeming factors, but not enough I could push the rating to two stars. I really liked the friendship between Gus and Cam (or maybe I just really liked Cam), the way she understood him was beautiful. I also really liked how close Teddy and Riley were, I enjoyed reading about them collecting flowers together throughout the summer.

Thank you Netgalley and Quercus Books for this ARC โ™ก

I loved loved loved this book. Lyla Sage knows how to write a romance book!

Teddy and Gus are the perfect couple, everything about their personalities was perfectly complementary to the otherโ€™s. The chemistry and tension has been building for these two since book one, and this book finally FINALLY delivers. And oh does it deliver! This book was everything I was looking for from these two.
The author has built so well on top of her previous works to keep this as a work that flows so well with the rest of the series!
I cannot wait for the next book in the series and anything else she may write
