I’m a fan of Laura Marshall’s books, always inventive and distinctive, they deserve more attention.
A Good Place To Hide A Body sees fifty-something Penny roped in to help her elderly parents dispose of a body. A ‘will they get away with it?’ thriller and a wonderful quintessentially English sense of humour and the feel of a classic British sitcom.
The audiobook performance by Karina Fernandez is superb across a wide range of characters. Karina Fernandez can vividly paint a character through their voice with just a few utterances.
It went on just a little bit bit long for me, after a great potential resolution point, but this was a hugely entertaining audiobook to listen to. It’s rare for humour in thrillers to work so well and so consistently.
Highly recommended.
