This book would be great for a beginner learning about crystals. It has a nice layout detailing the information about each crystal and its uses.

The Crystal Companion is a gorgeous reference book for the crystal lover. I also love that Hancock mentions fundamentals such as cleansing and charging. This is a reference that I'll be keeping for a long time.

The art is beautiful. They way the stones are photographed is excellent. The way stones are cleansed was very odd. I don't know how I feel about cleansing stones in fog, storms, or snow. This will damage a lot of stones. Working with crystals is very personal so sometimes things are different in books than what you experience, but there was a lot of that in this book. It felt very repetitive. I wish the stones were alphabetical. I understand they were grouped by color, but it needs a table of contents or something because even within the colors it didn't seem to have an organizational structure. I hate the physical healing bits. I am sorry, but if you have high blood pressure you should see a doctor not a stone. The other information included did not have a lot of detail and didn't seem to connect with what I have read in other books and what I have experienced myself.

Organized by stone, it details each stone's properties and qualities. It also explains each stone's astrological properties and how to treat each stone.

This was very insightful and an easy-to-use guide for understanding crystals. As one who is new to crystals, I found it interesting and enjoyable to learn about the different effects they can have when used. The illustrations make it even easier to find what one might be looking for. A great companion book for anyone wanting to learn more about crystals.

A gorgeous little handbook of crystals.

Shows you the chakras, zodiac signs and elements associated to every crystal, as well as a list of different healing properties. This would be great for anyone getting started in crystal work, as it contains the basics.

I have read so many crystal reference books over the years and lots in the last couple of months as I have taken on a crystal course.
This book is absolutely stunning!! The photography is beautiful - the photographs of lots of crystals in the books opening chapter is amazing. There is also a photo for each crystal in the reference section.
I love how the reference details are broken up into spiritual, physical and emotional healing - this makes the book unique.

I read this author's other book The Ultimate Guide to Crystals: The Beginner's Guide to the Healing Energy of 100 Crystals and Stones (Volume 16) from Netgalley and loved it so much that I ordered myself a copy of it. I still love it so I thought I would request this one.

The hell fire! This book is just a mini version of the first book. That seems kinda cheater cheater to me. Yes, it's a beautiful book but it's just a mini version of the bigger better book.

I think I'm just pissed at the world today.

The Crystal Companion : A Quick-Reference Guide to 75 Healing Stones. This is an excellent guide to a selection of crystals, with a particular focus on the healing aspects.. The photographs are beautiful and help to clearly identify each crystals' features. I liked the bullet point information which was not too much, and there was plenty of extra guidance including for cleaning, clearing, and selecting. The reference lists were quick access and easy to follow. Overall a great crystal book that focussed on healing which was perfect for me.

Beautiful reference book for crystals. Photos are gorgeous. The information for each crystal was just enough. I was hoping for more crystals mentioned and feel this is just scratching the surface.

Informative, simple for beginners and those wanting a refresh about key properties, and filled with photo references - a good book for anyone with an interest in crystals and their associated benefits.

This gives insight about selecting crystals, cleansing and charging your pieces, setting intentions, precautions, and provides a lengthy directory filled with an image and various characteristics of 75 different types or crystals. It gives a handy bullet point list of major spiritual, emotional, and physical benefits which makes this quick and easy to follow.

I did think that the focus was a little too much on the energy healing side of things, and I found myself wanting some more concrete facts. For example, there is nothing about where the crystals are commonly mined or how to spot synthetic/fake versions which is pretty important. It also bothered me that some of the pictures are of the raw specimen and others are tumbled smooth. This can be pretty confusing for those wanting to identify crystals on their own. It would have been nice to have 2-3 reference photos for each crystal, especially for things like fluorite that have multiple colour variations.

Overall this is a good book for beginners who want an organised, simple way to discover the healing properties of popular crystals. The title captures exactly what this is - A Quick-Reference Guide to 75 Healing Stones.

A great little companion guide to some basic (and not so basic) crystals for a multitude of uses. I really enjoyed the breakdown of the different types of uses for crystals for each entry, and the daily affirmation included for each. The addition of the zodiacs each crystal was associated with was also very useful. It did take me a minute to realize that the crystals were organized by color rather than alphabetically, but I thought that was a very unique way to layout the book.

I was impressed right off the bat with the high-quality photos included of each of the crystals. I feel like this title introduce ways to cleanse and charge your crystals better than other titles I’ve read. I also really like how easy to consume each crystal profile was. The pertinent information was broken down into simple terms that anyone could understand. It is always interesting to me to see how Crystal profiles may vary between each guide. I did not find any discrepancies when comparing this title to other crystal guides that I own. A great starting guide!

Very detailed information about what crystals are, how to care for them and the properties 75 individual crystals. A very handy reference guide for beginners and novices who are starting off on their crystal journey or for anyone who easily forgets and needs to look up the information as it's later out very simply.

This is a great guide to crystals. I eapically loved the fact that each stone had its own section with a bright colorful picture. The description was lovely and the uses well researched.

Also the pictures are really pretty. This is a cute companion guide for someone looking to have a guide to crystals.
