I’m not quite sure where to start with this review. This was a gripping and blistering read about the lengths people will go to in order to protect their loved ones. But it was also an incredibly complex and involved plot with so many moving pieces. I had no clue who was responsible until the reveal and did spend a portion of my reading with no clue what was going on. Overall I enjoyed the story and the tension was brilliantly crafted.
I have enjoyed this book, but I have to wonder how anyone could possibly have dreamt up such a convoluted plot is beyond me. It really does take a bit of concentration in order to not lose the plot. However it certainly is a thriller.
OK so this was a really cleverly plotted out story and it's actually genius and just has so many moving pieces that all sync up perfectly.... however..... you do need to not over think it or focus too kuchen on reality for this ine to work. If you're going to get weighed down by the minutiae then it'll just all seem far fetched and illogical. However, if you read it in the spitir intended, it's amazing
Due to health issues cannot write a proper review now even if I enjoyed this book. as it's well plotted, twisty and entertaining. I liked the good storytelling. It's one of those book that makes you happy because you're single

A brilliant fast paced page turner that will keep you hooked from the very first page. Hard to put down once you start!
Nicole's seemingly perfect life—a successful surgeon husband, Mark, two young daughters, and a beautiful home—takes a dark turn when Mark abruptly quits his hospital job. Now distant and secretive, he leaves Nicole struggling financially.
Everything changes when Nicole receives an enigmatic message: a million euros is in her bank account, contingent on driving a car. Desperate to save her family, she contemplates the offer, but questions loom. Who sent the money? What are their true intentions? And why has Mark disappeared?
One Perfect Stranger is a gripping thriller that dives deep into the mystery of Nicole's sudden fortune and her husband's odd behaviour. With suspenseful twists and turns, the novel keeps readers on edge, unravelling a tense and compelling narrative.

So addictive and thrilling from the first page I was gripped. It kept me guessing all the way through. I love books like this one. Exciting and I didn't want it to end. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
The premise of the story is intriguing so I was open to some over the top situations. However when about half way through I started explaining to my husband what the plot was I soon realised how ridiculous it had become.
I’m not saying don’t read it but just don’t have your sensible critical head on if you do.
My conclusion is unfortunately that a plot idea is a lot easier than its delivery.

A good read.
Would you commit a crime to save your family?
Nicole had the perfect life, with her handsome surgeon husband Mark, their two young daughters and a beautiful big house. But everything changed when Mark suddenly left his job at the hospital six months ago. He's distant. Keeping secrets. And they are out of money. Then Nicole gets a strange message: There is a million euros in your bank account. All you need to do is drive a car. Yes, or no? This would be the answer to her prayers. It would save her family. But who sent it? What do they really want from Nicole? And why hasn't Mark come home?
I loved it. The characters are so good. It was a quick read.
Thanks to NetGalley and Hodder Stoughton for giving me an advance copy.
Set in Dublin, Nicole and Mark, a former heart surgeon, live with their 2 young daughters, then six months ago Mark left his job and is now working as a volunteer.
Super start to a really twisty tale as the family finances are tight when Nicole receives a mysterious message offering her a million euros in exchange for just driving a car?
As the story unfolds she finds herself in all sorts of dramas and possibly saving her husband's life.
Really enjoyable and I must read more of this author.
Thanks to Net Galley and Hodder and Stoughton for the chance to read and review.
I really LOVED this THRILLING, intriguing read that kept me glued to my seat! A fast page-turner that didn't take long to read.
Nicole, mother of two girls and married to a doctor, Mark has been super stressed over money lately. After her husband's brother dies, Mark take a sabbatical from his stressful employment and decides to do volunteer work instead. Nicole, having given up her well-loved career after the birth of her girls, has gone back to work, working an unfulfilling job and doing some freelance on the side. Unfortunately, Nicole is not making enough money to sustain them and is under constant strain and suffering from insomnia. One day, a hacker takes control of her laptop, depositing 1 million euros in her bank account asking her if she will drive a car in exchange for the money. Reluctantly, Nicole decides to pay the electric bill to see if it's for real, thereby informally agreeing to the terms of the exchange. And so begins her terrifying journey of criminal acts and devastating consequences. Her husband's been kidnapped and Nicole will do anything to get him back.
My thoughts:

This is one humdinger of a story! Set in Dublin, Nicole and Mark live with their 2 young daughters. However, 6 months ago Mark left his job as a heart surgeon and is now working as a volunteer. This was a really exciting read from start to finish with fast pace, suspense and tension throughout when a online request can turn into such danger.
Nicole's perfect life unravels when her husband Mark becomes distant and their finances plummet, until she receives a mysterious offer of a million euros to drive a car, leading her into a web of secrets and suspense.
One Perfect Stranger is a gripping thriller with an intriguing premise that had me hooked from the get go. The mystery surrounding Nicole's sudden windfall and her husband's strange behaviour sets up a tense and compelling story. The twists and turns kept me guessing, and there were moments of genuine suspense.
I will say some plot developments seemed just a bit far-fetched. If you can get passed that, it's a solid read for thriller fans, especially those who enjoy domestic suspense.
This was gripping from the very start. Full of mystery, kept me turning the pages.
Once I got into it I found it a fast read. A great debut, I can't wait to read more from this author!

Fast paced all action debut thriller by R.B. Egan. Clever twist at the end and interesting plot and as with many current thrillers technology is at the core of the story. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to ARC this book.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
One Perfect Stranger by R.B. Egan is a gripping and heart-pounding action thriller with a jaw-dropping twist!
This thriller will not slowly prepare you for the action, this thriller is like jumping into a moving car and going full speed! Mad!
This thriller is full of mystery, dark secrets, and evil people, and will show you what humans are capable of when left with no options!
It's impossible to guess who was behind everything until the reveal, and then my jaw dropped! Whatever I expected, I didn't expect that! The twist took me totally unprepared!

Nicole and Mark have the perfect life alongside their two daughters but it all changes when they run into financial problems. That is until Nicole gets an anonymous offer of a million euros and all she has to do is drive a car. Will she accept and is it too good to be true?
I was drawn in to the concept of this novel and thought it sounded original and mysterious. There is definitely a lot of mystery involved, with twists and turns dotted through. The book makes you question what you’d do in this situation, creating moral dilemmas you want to discuss. Although the characters were well written I struggled to connect with them and subsequently the overall story. It also took a while for it to get started. However, I’d say overall this is an entertaining, suspenseful thriller. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy in return for an honest review.
