This book takes a dark and twisted path. The storyline kept twisting and going in a different direction. It’s uniquely written. It’s told in alternating times Before the hit and run, after the hit and run, and through a tv interview. It really set the book up to keep you guessing. The ending was a big surprise. It’s a splendidly written thriller. With some carryover characters from the author’s prior released book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

🏊‍♂️ BOOK / REVIEW 🏊‍♂️

Did I just get this book from @netgalley yesterday?

Sure did.

Am I already finished?

Absolutely 😏.

I will never sleep on a book by @lorethannewhite, and neither should you. #theswimmer was a delicious #domesticthriller with so many twists. I normally binge read every book by this author because time really does slip away between the pages of her novels. They are always very well researched and expertly plotted. White also knows how to write some pretty intricate characters, and boy, were these 3 MESSED-UP.

I felt some strong sympathy for Chloe - who was awkward and totally misunderstood this entire book. The ending and her back story are actually shocking, and it helped to explain her behavior a lot. Adam was your typical sleazy male and Jemma, the ever jealous wife with a few screws loose.

This was just a fun book to read and a bit different than some of her other recent books.

Definitely give this one a read - thank you, #thomasandmercer, for my #gifted copy - this one publishes September 10th!
