Gutted that this was only the first four chapters but it has definitely made me look forward to the release of Somewhere Beyond the Sea even more.

I had the pleasure of receiving the first four chapters of this from Pan Macmillan through NetGalley. It was amazing to dive back into the cosy fantasy vibes with the sequel to the house in the cerulean sea and see the children again. I loved the chaotic vibes from Lucy and the wholesomeness of the other children. These first 4 chapters were great and I can’t wait to read the rest of the book when it is released. I’m so excited to learn more about Arthur and his past as well as the future of all magic people.

I didnt realise this was only a sample so that was disappointing. I didnt read this as would prefer to wait for the whole book.

Unable to give much of a review since this was only a short sampler - something that I realized only after I reached the end of a text, which I guess is completely my fault since it does mention in the description that this is a sampler.
Neverthless, whatever I read in that one hour, I really enjoyed and I can't wait for the complete book to be out soon.

such a lovely continuation of the first book, i can't wait for the rest of it! it set up some really good threads like linus and arthur's relationship, the children growing up and learning about the world, and helen and zoe's relationship. also it presented the idea of trauma in a hopeful and accessible way. the release date can't come sooner!!

I was so obsessed with house in the cerulean sea and the sequel is not going to disappoint! It took me a hot minute to figure out what was happening with the time line but once I’d figured it out I loved it! I’m so excited to be back with the gang and I can’t wait for this release! Most adorable duology ever!

Oh goodness how I wish this was a full book. In such a small amount of pages, all the feelings I experienced through Cerulean were evoked.

Dear lord, I LOVE the look of this book. I almost didn’t want to read these chapters because the thought of stopping was just too sad. I slipped straight back into remembering why I loved the first book so much. They’re all there and fab. Can’t wait to read the whole thing in September!

I read TJ Klune's sequel, but at 45% I gave up, there were triggering issues that prevent me from reading any further. Many apologies, especially as I had enjoyed the first book so very much.

I had the incredible opportunity to receive the first four chapters of this book, courtesy of MacMillan, and I'm beyond thrilled to confirm that it is an absolute MASTERPIECE. However, I’m now left hanging until September, and the wait is excruciating! 😭

From just these few chapters, Arthur, Linus, and especially the children have already made me laugh, cry, and fall in love with their captivating stories. The characters are so vividly drawn and emotionally compelling that I’m desperate for more. The wit, charm, and heart in these pages are unmatched. I need more, and I need it now. How am I supposed to cope until the full release?

As it was only an excerpt that I got to read, I can only base my review off a few chapters, but so far so good. I absolutely loved the first book so I’m thrilled to have sneak peek of the next book.
Love the found family concept and the humour in this, the first book had me crying and laughing (both at the same time at points). This feels like an easy read and quite exciting, can’t wait to buy and read this!

This is a solid read by TJ Klune. The writing in this is solid and the characters were well written. I read the book pretty quickly too. Overall, solid.
