This was my first time reading something by this author. It's a cute story that blends humor, heart, romance into a charming, feel-good story. Ruby is a determined heroine who isn’t afraid to chase her dreams—even when life doesn't always go as planned. She fulfills her dream of becoming a flight attendant, but her boyfriend doesn't support her and pretty much dismisses her accomplishment. This is where First Officer Milo comes in. Although he has a reputation of being a Ladies man, as Ruby gets to know him more, she learns that is not an entirely accurate description of him. As their connection grows, she sees a more caring and considerate side of him.
Although a lovely romantic comedy, the story is also about finding strength, discovering what truly matters, and embracing love when you least expect it. If you're looking for a heartwarming romance then this is definitely one you will want to pick up.
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.
Easy, fun read. It wasn't too deep which is what I was in the mood to read. I liked the characters. I enjoyed it.
A light, lovely romance! This is a quick read and is fast paced. Would definitely consider reading more from this author!!

This book wasn’t it for me. I love a light, fun romance, but this couldn’t keep my interest. I will keep it in my GoodReads shelf for the future, in hopes i can revisits and maybe it’ll strike a nerve sometime later.
Did I find this book enjoyable? Yes. Did I love it? Ehhh…I liked it.
Ruby has always wanted to work for an airline and she has her dream job and is going through training. Her life has been pretty small and right now it’s becoming much larger with this opportunity. Rubys boyfriend Richie is a right jerk and that’s me putting it nicely. I wanted to shake Ruby. I wanted to scream at her. There are definitely parts that felt like it went on forever.
Thank you #netGalley for the advance copy.
I enjoyed this book however I struggled to connect to the characters. It did have a lovely storyline and it all came together in the end! Will be on the lookout for more stories by this author
Didn’t love this one. Couldn’t relate to the main character. She was too insecure. I found the story line not engaging enough. Wouldn’t recommend this title.
Thank you NetGalley and publish for this ARC!
What a great book!! I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I couldn’t put it down. My first by this author but won’t be my last!!
Love is in the Air is a delightful and lighthearted romance that captures the whimsical charm of falling in love. Jackie Ladbury crafts a quick and sweet story filled with humor and endearing moments. The characters are lovable, and their interactions are filled with witty banter and genuine chemistry. Perfect for a cozy read, this book offers a feel-good escape into a world where love truly is in the air. If you’re looking for a fun and heartwarming read, this one’s for you!
The plot sounds amazing I just don’t think it was executed to its full potential. I found the characters dull, cringy and really unlikeable.
★★
This book is a perfect summer beach read, light and romantic with great characters and a bit of fun.
Poor Ruby, finally gets her dream job, but things start to fall apart, her boyfriend is a complete unsupportive tool and she starts falling for one of the pilots who works for the same airline as her! A great story for sure!!
The premise of this story seemed quite interesting at first glance. But, unfortunately, this story was a DNF for me at ~20%.
The plot in itself was pretty cute, but the characters lacked the depth and warmth that I've come to love, and expect from this genre.
Regardless, I believe that this story just might not be for me.
This was a good romance. I had a hard time getting invested in the characters but I liked the tropes and how everything came together in the end. Worth a read!
This was an ok story I wasn't very intrigued but I felt like I needed to finish it. Thank you for allowing me to read and review this ARC
This book had a cute plot and fun settings, but ultimately the characters weren't strong enough to carry it.
The main character, Ruby, felt underdeveloped and inconsistent. I think it was somewhat intentional on the part of the author, since the character is undergoing turmoil and learning to be decisive and figure out what she wants her life to look like. But at times it made her inner monologue hard to follow, and there were moments where it felt like the author just forgot what we'd already learned about the character (eg. a previously established fear of fire became a fear that...monsters were hiding in the fire?).
There are two main male characters: the boyfriend, Richie, and the love interest, Milo. Richie is so awful that you root for Milo for the sheer fact of not being Richie. Milo is handsome and rich, but it never felt like he and Ruby ever got to really know each other well enough for me to be invested in their HEA.
What a fun spicy love story! So cute!!! I loved the main character and her story. Great read for the summer. It would be a fun book club read.
