**Thank you so much to the publisher and author for giving me an ARC of this book through NetGalley! These thoughts are entirely my own.**

I really enjoyed this book! The writing style at the beginning kind of annoyed me, but it got better as the book went on. The characters were super engaging, and the plot was really well done. It handled some really difficult issues in a tactful way.

I feel like the pacing was weird, though. Some of the chapter breaks felt abrupt, and some scenes felt almost too long and some I wish were longer. Also there was a really odd almost kinda sex scene? I was really weirded out by that, too.

For the most part, though, I really enjoyed the book. The characters were well developed and had awesome banter.

It’s Claire’s senior year. She should be looking forward to college but instead she’s working in a pizza shop to pay the bills her mom can’t. Lisa, who has never paid any attention to Claire, is an alcoholic with severe depression. Claire is also mourning the death of Mimi, her grandmother, who raised her. When Finn, her crush since kindergarten, finally asks her out, it seems the Wheel of Fate has turned in Claire’s favor. Then Finn dies in his sleep, the night after their first magical date, of an unexpected brain bleed. Tyler, the manager of the pizza shop provides a shoulder to cry on and Claire begins to feel a tentative romantic connection to him. Inexplicably, after Finn’s memorial service, she begins to feel and see Finn close to her again.

This fanciful ghost story is built on genuine emotion. The grief over the death of a loved one is intertwined with a universal wish, to have just a few more days with that special person, and how those days would be spent. Finn returns on a mission, and nothing becomes clear until the next to the last chapter. Overall, the writing is more than adequate. Some phrases are nearly poetic, but a few seem forced and awkward. The title becomes neatly connected with the plot. This book will have a strong appeal to YA readers, but better editing could have made it stellar!
I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley, but the opinions are my own.

This book is beautifully written and was an amazing read. The dialog was well written, though a little mature for the characters. However, it did not take away from the story and considering their ages it is easy to see how wrapped up they can be in their own love story. I would highly recommend this book to anyone considering it to read about Claire and Finn.

Somewhere Between Dandelions is full of love, heartache and grief. It shows domino effect of life choices. The story kept me intrigued and continuously reading to find out what would happen.

I love it when a story is written so that you feel the words. There’s loss, love, healing, and so many lessons on how to do all of these. It was heavy for me due to recent losses, but I can take things away from this book that make them lighter. This is beautifully written and I recommend this book highly, to all ages.

Claire Goodnight's longtime crush and new boyfriend Finn dies suddenly in his sleep. Clare is devastated that he's gone, after waiting for him for so long, and her life has already been so difficult. The caring grandmother who raised her has died; she has never known her father; her best friend just moved to Oregon; and if her mother's awake, she's drunk. Then, the guys she's loved since kindergarten, finally got to go out with and share an amazing kiss with, is dead.

The family holds a memorial for him at the school, during which Clare becomes aware of a shadowy figure, that no one else can see. And it comes looking for her. It turns out, Finn has some unfinished business, and needs the help of his new girlfriend to tie up some loose ends.

Meanwhile, Claire is unearthing family secrets that have been hidden from her, her whole life.

It's a beautiful story, with lovely writing. Definitely recommend for the writing, pacing, and heart-felt realness.

I've just finished this book and also a box of tissues! Wow that ending got me!
This book follows Claire, and her journey following the death of the boy she has loved from a far since kindergarten - Finn, as he returns to her, and only her as a ghost.
This was such a lovely story, I laughed and cried (a lot) with this book and I feel it will be a story that will stay with me.
Highly recommend but also recommend tissues to hand!

“I will find you in another life.”

Claire hasn't had the easiest life, she goes home to the "lovely" Lisa, her Grandmother who raised her (Mimi) has passed, Claire misses Mimi and her best friend who moved away, everyday. The only thing unchanged is the crush she has had on the same boy since pre school. Finn.

Walking between the dandelions, Claire makes a wish - Even though she knows they are not real.

The next day Finn walks up to her at school and asks her on a date, Claire is ESTATIC - he picks her up on Saturday and she has the best night EVER, the best first kiss - with the only boy she has ever dreamt of - Until she wakes up Monday morning and she hears the most earth shattering words she has ever heard - Finn is dead.

Claire is broken - Something FINALLY went right, her wish finally came true - only to be ripped away. 2 weeks later the school hosts a memorial in Finn's honor and Claire cannot believe her eyes - Finn is there, she can see him - apparently she is the only one that can see him.

This book was honestly beautiful, is it about grief, YES ALOT actually - but its honestly so moving and the focus is more on the healing throughout the book for everyone. These characters felt so real. This story is about love and loss and friendship and new love and new life, second chances. It was honestly one of those books for me that I just wanted to pick up and read - and when I wasn't reading I was thinking about it.

If you were a fan of 1000 boy kisses, You've reached Sam or If he had been with me - you might enjoy this one. I am not comparing these books, they are NOT the same but they do explore similar topics.

“Wishes don’t come true. Not the ones made on candles pushed into birthday cakes or those whispered in the dark with hands pressed together. Especially not the ones made on dandelions.”

Somewhere Between Dandelions pulled me in from those first three sentences. It is the story of Claire who finds love, looses it, only to have it come back again. And yet, the story is so much more than that. This is a story of deep grief and sadness, hope, finding joy in small places, healing and the sweetness of wishing on dandelions.

Trisha Larson Harmon’s words float off the pages and softly land on your heart.

Thank you to the author, Trisha Larson Harmon and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this arc.

This is such a sweet, heartfelt, and heartbreaking story of young love, death, grieving, and the effects all of those things have on us and those around us. I love how Claire and Finn help each other and each other’s families and how everyone begins their journey toward healing. I highly recommend this book!

This books cover is so gorgeous and says so much. A life cut short, a romance ended before it could truly flourish but with him as ghost maybe they can have closure.
This book for sure gave me a lot of feelings. The sense of loss and grief that follows. Claire for sure was a character that had me feeling her pain and her confusion. She was really well written for her age of group. She was written as a teenager perfectly. I could tell by the way I wanted to smack her on the back of the head for the decisions she was making but I understood why she made them. The conflict of alcoholism with her mom made it all more emotional. It showed how sometimes we hide from the pain of our past to rough alcohol abuse. To see her recover and finally deal with her past was amazing work witness
I could compare this book to, You’ve Reached Sam but I actually liked this book more than that one.
It was more realistic. I related and sympathized more to Claire and Fin.
This book left satisfied after a roller coaster of emotions.
I would for sure recommend this book to anyone looking for a book to make you feel.

Thanks to the amazing folks at Netgally for a copy of this book. My reviews is a honest reflection of my feelings towards this book.

Wow! Just from the description I knew this book was for me.

Young adult, love,loss,A ghost perhaps.

It was so much more than that. Claire is no stranger to loss. Never had a father. Her beloved grandmother passed on. Her mom Lisa spends more time drinking than being a parent.
Claire can't wait to graduate high school and move out. Then Finn, her childhood crush asks her out and they have a great time. She gets to know his family a little.

But then Claire experiences loss once more. Finn dies suddenly. How can she go on without him?

She does. In a You've Reached Sam sort of way, Finn is back with Claire as a ghost.

They navigate grief and loss and get to know each other even more this way.

They help each other because Finns family is grieving deeply and he asks for Claire to help him.

There is so much more to this story.

It is amazing how a book about loss and grief can also be healing and hopeful too.

Tue book is young adult but adults can read it too and learn about grief loss healing and love.

I cried a few times even in unexpected parts of the book.

This is a Must Read!

I outfit down a few times to savor certain parts and stay with the characters just a bit longer, rare for me to do that.

It is a few days after I find wished the book and tonight I am going to reread it.
A very strong debut novel. I will be sure to get her next book if there is one.

Absolutely selling this gem at the store.

My thanks to the author publisher and net galley for the e arc.

A wonderful and sweet read.
If you like a good book that will make you cry then this is definitely it.
But I will say that it also left me feeling full and satisfied.
I loved everything about this book. The author has done a wonderful job with this novel.
I will never think about ghosts in the same way again. Yes, I believe in the supernatural so this was great book and it will make you think as you read it too.
Loss is hard of any kind. I agree with what Claire said about grief and missing ppl.
“Finn, you can’t stop me from hurting. That can’t be your plan for us or the reason you’re still here because that’s just not possible. And listen up— while I’m sure I’ll fall for someone one day, right now you’re the only one I want. "
I think she's saying that eventually she'll move on but that she'll always miss him.
Wow! Grief is a hard thing for sure and certain. Missing someone means that we loved hard and a lot when our loved ones were here.
I still miss my loved ones. I know they're not here but I like to think they are.
Time does have a way of healing and helping us too.
5 stars for a well written story that kept my attention all the way through.
I highly recommend.
My thanks for a copy of this book.
I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Somewhere between dandelions it’s a book that you don’t think you could read but that you end up crying for . A young adult story , definitely initially written for teens but the story it’s so heartbreaking and beautiful that is gonna break your heart and put it together all in once. If a book has the emotional ability to make me cry than it’s a good one .
