First of all, a huge thank you to netgalley for my ARC copy of this book, Accidentally in love with my best friends brother by Abby Greyson.
This book included some of my favourite tropes, making this an enjoyable read for me. A fun and enjoyable rom com with some heartfelt and super sweet moments. I feel as though this was a decent length YA book that make me feel all the feels.

I was granted this copy from NetGalley and omg am I happy I was allowed to read it. I loved it, I absolutely loved this so much. I had started a different book before this and I ended up putting that book on the back burner to continue “accidentally in love with my best friend’s brother”. With saying that I do think the title is a mouthful and just is way too long. Another con I have with this is we don’t get to go one the journey with Brie. It’s like I love you the end oh sorry they get married and have a family. I truly would have loved a book of their journey planning a wedding and then the journey of bries pregnancy. Other than that the rest was amazing. The banter, the love each other has for one another, the friendship, the loss but gained love. Honestly I couldn’t stop reading I laughed with them and I cried with them. Every time I would pick this up I felt I was Brie myself.

Thanks to @NetGalley for the chance to review Accidentally in Love with my Best Friend's Brother by Abby Greyson. This was a very sweet, kisses-only book.

Josh is a NFL star with a bad boy streak - sign up good girl Brie for a fake relationship! They've known each other since they were near-toddlers and Susie, Josh's sister and Brie's bff, was a perfect sidekick! It was just so cute. I LOVE a fake relationship and this was a fun enemies-to-lovers sports romance.

Such a perfect summer sports romance read. I love the best friends brother trope, the forbidden aspect that it gives, and this did not let the trope down at all. For any fans of sports romance in general, this is a must summer read.

Brie Woodbury has known Josh Owens pretty much her whole life. He used to tease her a lot as children when she moved in next door after her parents died. But he’s her best friend’s brother. And a jock. And Josh. Never gonna happen.

Josh Owens has been teasing Brie Woodbury since she was three-years-old. He thinks she is absolutely adorable going into their teenage years and adulthood. But she’s his sister’s best friend. Although having a girlfriend, even if she believes it to be fake, will be good for his public image so he can get resigned. But will she agree?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

First of alL, Thank You, Netgalley for the ARC granted to me. Sports romance is defintely one of my top 5 favorite tropes, and this story of Josh and Brianne was awesome because it combines that trope with best friends' brother crush and I loved it! Exactly what I like to read after a long and exhaustiing day to get the heart warm.

I really liked the hockey romance i read, so I thought I would try another sport romance!
This was a cute story, but the writing style wasn't really my favorite.
In my opinion, it was written as if the main characters were in high school, as opposed to actual adults.
I felt that there were some descriptions, such as crooked smiles, that were used way too many times.
I also felt like the sports aspect wasn't very prominent. The story focused more on the romance and Brie's past trauma, which wasn't terrible.
I did like the fake dating aspect and the friends to lovers trope.
I liked that Brie had a great support system around her.
Overall, it was a really cute story, and I did enjoy it.

I really enjoyed this book. Josh and Brie have known each other since they were kids and Brie is best friends with Joshs sister. Brie lost her parents when she was younger and moved in with her aunt and uncle and became friends with Josh and his sister. Josh has always looked at brie as another sister and been very protective of her until he realizes he may not have been protective for that reason.

Josh is a professional football player who has gotten himself in some hot water and ending up in the news for not the right reasons. When he heads to his hometown for some time and the hometown gossip magazine sees them together and runs with it. The whole town wants them together and they decide to use it to help josh get back in the good graces with his team so he doesn't get traded. The banter and the tension were top notch! When they realize their feelings are real there is no stopping them from being together. I love the families and how they supported them even when they kept claiming it was all fake.

This was my first read by this author but I will definitely be reading more.
Tropes:
* Frenemies to Lovers
* Best Friend’s Brother
* Fake Dating
* Teacher vs NFL Star
* Small Town
* Fun Banter
* Gossip Girl Vibes
* Sweet Romance

I think fake dating is quickly becoming another favorite trope, right up there with sports romance.

Literally how cute are Josh and Brie?!? I absolutely loved their banter and obvious feelings from the start. 🩷

This book was well written, adorable and so sweet. I loved the aspect of Brie being a teacher and having her students involved at the end and the gossip blog throughout. Such a fun, quick read that I’d recommend to anyone!

Sweet Romance no 🌶️ but still a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bri loses her parents young and is raised by her aunt and uncle in Pleasant Hollow. She has always kept loving others outside her circle at arms length so she could never feel the devastation of losing a loved one again.
Brianne grows up with her best friend Susie and her brother Josh who live next door. Years later Josh plays for the NFL and Bri becomes a teacher and all three of them are still best friends. An anonymous gossip site “Tea Time” coins Josh and Bri - #Briosh & posts an innocent photo and claims the two are kissing -they weren’t - and the entire town is head over heels excited the two are finally together. After they both deny it - Josh’s agent says maybe he should lean into the story because the good girl next door would be good for his bad boy image.
*I mean - who doesn’t love a fake dating scheme ? *
Bri agrees to fake dating but the whole town knows way before they do that they have loved each other since they were kids.
It was sweet to see the two of them realize that their love was always hidden down deep inside their hearts, the banter and picking on each other was just masking it and finally let it bloom into something more.
Every relationship has bumps in the road and being with a famous person with the media always watching is never easy but you have to love a romance story that catches your emotions and lets your root for both characters!
It was a quick read and the story flowed really well - I will definitely be reading her other books soon !!

Josh and Brianne have known each other forever; she's his little sister's best friend and the girl next door. He has always loved teasing and protecting her like a sister, right? Now a major NFL star, Josh has life made. He gets to play for his dream team and still lives in his hometown, but when an injury and his actions on the field make the future look a little rocky, Brianne can sweep in and save the day.
Brianne will never admit that she follows Josh's career as closely as she does and attends every home game with his sister. When a picture of the two surfaces on the internet looking like they are kissing, everything changes. It's suggested the two date to save Josh's image and help him signed with his team again, but is the whole thing fake, or will the two finally admit that they have feelings for each other?

Full of laughter and heart-swooning moments, this clean romance would make any girl weak in the knees. I love a good friend-to-lovers book, and this one did not disappoint. I loved the slow build and realization from each character that maybe, just maybe, there was something a little more going on between them.

Disclaimer: I received a free advanced copy of this novel, but my thoughts are my own.

This was a gorgeous teenage love story which was full of cute characters and a simple love story. No spicy moments but some cute romantic ones. Easy to follow and very predictable. Will be finding more from the author.

We’re introduced To Brie Woodbury & Josh Owens. Josh the top NFL receiver, the bad boy who gets alot of attention especially with his status & Brie an elementary teacher, the good girl & also the best friend of his sister. After a post on ‘Tea time’ assuming Josh & Brie were dating gets alot of exposure, Josh’s agent proposes that they capitalise on it & begin fake dating to help negotiate Josh securing a new contract. The chemistry everyone else sees they begin to see themselves & what a beautiful story it becomes.

I hands down loved this book. Team #Briosh how can you not adore both MC’s, especially as they no longer have to hide how they’ve felt about each other since they were younger. I enjoyed reading about how supportive Bries best friend & their families were. It’s definitely a book that made me feel all the warm fuzzys. The more closed book romances I’m reading they really are becoming one of my favourite to read. I look forward to reading more books by Abby Greyson.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review

Overall the story is cute small town, friends to lover, sport romance. The relationship between Brie and Josh is cute from childhood friends to grown up. Josh will always find a way to annoyed Brie just to make him happy and her rile up about it. Then when the small town gossip column catch them exchange what look like a kiss then it turn things around for the both of them. Its a feel good love story that will make your heart tug a bit of what they went through.

***NetGalley sent me this ARC electronically in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.***

This was a super cute short story! I love friends to lovers, especially when it’s the brother’s best friend! I do feel like there was this idea that they were always at each other’s throat but that wasn’t ever obvious. There weren’t scenes where they were at each other’s throats…. Maybe banter or teasing but nothing of that extreme. I also wish we would’ve gotten more of Brie’s struggle with grief and loss because that was her reasoning for not being sure about Josh but we got none of those struggles in the book? Because of that it feels like the watered down version of the whole story and I would’ve loved some more background stuff but overall I loved it!!!

This is a stand alone romance, kissing only. Tropes are: best friends brother/sisters best friend, friends to lovers, fake dating and is a sports romance (football).

This was a sweet romance that I would recommend to those who need a break from the steam or don't enjoy an open door read. There is a ton of chemistry between the two and it was cute how their families were rooting for them as well.

Cozy small town sports romance, fake dating and friends to lovers.

I loved reading this, I found myself smiling the entire time I was reading. An absolute delight to read!

Overall rating 5⭐️
Spice 1🌶
Emotional engagement 5👍🏼

In chapter 5 where he explain how and why he is protective of Brie and and how he and Susie made a pact to always protect Brie should be explained in the first few chapters.
Chapter 9 has the same conversation from a different perspective. I don’t like having to read the same thing twice, however that does not detract from the fact that this is a total GEM of a book, absolutely fabulous!

Where to begin with this one? Overall it was a quick and easy read that I’d have LOVED when I was 14. It’s sports based, fake dating and brother’s best friend. Literally a winning combo.

Brianne is a school teacher who has been in love with her best friend’s brother pretty much her whole life. Josh is an NHL player who just so happens to be in love with his younger sister’s best friend his whole life. After the local gossip blog posts a picture of the two seemingly kissing Josh’s agent suggests the pair fake date to help get rid of Josh’s bad boy image. What could go wrong?

This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I have to say I don’t think their writing style is for me. It’s very simple (not necessarily a bad thing because it makes it an easy read), there’s a few grammatical errors and typos and in general it felt a bit rushed. Having said that we get a few glimpses of a more mature writing style later in the book and I really liked that.

It’s written with two POV’s, Brie’s and Josh’s and whilst we get to explore Brie as a character, her fears, likes, dislikes, I felt like Josh’s POV’s were lacking in that. It’s made very clear that he’s in love with Brie but we don’t really get to know him as a character. There’s brief mention of his fears about potentially not having his contract renewed but I wish it had gone into more depth.

One thing I absolutely loved was the Tea Time chapters. An anonymous gossip blog about people in their town, it’s giving Gossip Girl, it’s giving Bridgerton. I love it. We never get to find out who Chamie, the blog author is, which makes me think this will be a series of books.

I know this book has some really good reviews which further solidifies that this book is just not for me and that’s okay. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy it, I did, it just felt like something was missing for me.

This book was a combination of my favourite trope: fake dating, best friend’s brother, dual POV and sports romance.
Highly recommend this book, it was a lovely lighthearted read. Would also love a book about Susie and Adam.
This book follows Brie, the town ‘good girl’, and her best friend’s brother, football star Josh, who has a reputation of being a player. When Josh receives an injury during a game and the future of his football career at the Maverick is left unclear, his manager suggests fake dating his sister’s best friend is the perfect way to get some good press and secure his spot of the team. Despite there always being underlying feelings between Josh and Brie, nothing can go wrong with a little fake dating, right?
