This book was a beautifully written young adult novella. I enjoyed every moment in the FMC’s mind. Michelle is a strong character who always tries to do what’s right. She didn’t want to get involved with a boy because of the distractions it can cause for her education and grades, but she couldn’t help to fall for Nicolas. It’s a sweet love story and I look forward to the next book.

3.5 * I was luckily provided with the ARC version from Victory Editing and as I struggle after having a baby to get back into reading, short stories have helped a lot! This was a cute little feel good read and I would definitely read more by this author in the future. Thanks again Victory Editing for the chance to read!

I want to thank Netgalley for an advanced ARC of this short story
This was a story about coming of age and it was an OK read but I feel I need to read the rest if there are any to get thw full story

I loved this relatable and fun look on being a teen music loving girl. I could see someone like Olivia Rodrigo taking on a role like this.

This short story is about a girl who has only ever gone to all girl schools then sees a boy ONE TIME and can’t stop thinking about him. I found the writing to be repetitive and boring and it just seemed like a stream of consciousness. I also thought that the diary aspect of this story was really pointless and was only there to fill space since it’s written in the same perspective the story is already written and and describes the same events that just happened.
It was also very insta-lovey which I guess has to be the case since it’s only about 30 pages long but it’s so weird for Michelle to be day dreaming about what this boy tastes like after seeing him once. The characters didn’t behave like real people and it was just so weird to me personally. This book could also do with an editor and if it has one already maybe get a new one because there wasn’t only small grammar mistakes but some of it just didn’t make any sense.
Thank you NetGalley for the arc

I found this very cute and comforting. It truly portrays the bittersweet aspects of being a teenager in a realistic way.
Michelle seems like a smart, chill person and I like that, because I'm so used to teenagers being seen as impulsive and reckless, which isn't always the truth since they are, after all, people, and people are complex.
It does feel a little too exaggerated at times, some might even say insta lovey, but I understand that her lack of experience interacting with boys may lead to that intensity when she finally does.
There were a couple common mistakes: big paragraphs with a couple of sentences that could be separated, random switches between past and present tense... I guess it can be due to the character's age, but…
I do wonder, is the cover made by AI? If that's the case, I think it's a shame, because supporting artists is just as important as supporting writers.
A final note: it was nice to see a nod to Spain.
