This book had my holding my breath with each page! This is every mother's nightmare! Imagine waking up not knowing where you are and then you are no longer pregnant and you don't know where your baby is and no one can give you any answers?! The emotions, the betrayal, the twists were so real in this book! One woman's journey to find her daughter where she must forgive herself from her past. This is a must read! I didn't want to put it down!
Fast paced thriller full of twists and turns. Kept me glued to my kindle until 2am. Fantastic
Would definitely recommend.
Flawless!! I'd been in a bit of reading slump so didn't hold put much hope for this book holding my interest any more than half a dozen other have failed to but omg!! I had barely started before I was completely engrossed. The writing just flows so easily, the characters are so well written, the twists are just amazing, the plot is perfectly executed and plotted out. It's a thriller but one at the highest level. I didn't guess who was responsible but I saying that, it also wasn't a pretty little liars situation where the only way to keep the reader in the dark is to just introduce a completely unmentioned character at the very last second and blame them! This was just genuinely amazingly well written with perfect distraction but alas nothing too over the top and trying too hard to make other characters look guilty..... its all just perfect!! I started it a cpl of hrs ago and now hate the fact I have finished already since I know I won't coke across another book this amazing, any time soon
My baby is due in two weeks. Hand on my bump, I swear to my little girl, I won’t be anything like my mother. I’m walking home after the perfect baby shower, enjoying the cool summer evening breeze. I can’t wait to rest my aching feet. I’m almost at my door when the world goes black. I wake with a blinding pain in my head. Beeping of machines in background. I open my eyes to a white room. Panic jolts through me. I reach down to my bump, to where my baby should be. But she’s not there. Then my fingers find a rough line of stitches. Someone has taken my baby. Out of me! Great read!! This book gave me chills!! It had suspense , intrigue, kidnapping, murder, mystery, and some crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my kindle! I definitely recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
"The Night They Stole My Baby" is a book about a woman with a haunted past that catches up with her present. I don't want to give anymore away about the storyline itself but this book was sensational. I devoured it within 3 days as I simply couldn't put it down. It is full of pure raw emotion and twists that kept me holding on. And the ending was phenomenal, it had me sobbing silent tears! I really liked that the chapters alternated between past and present as that always holds me attention and makes me read more!
The unthinkable occurs, Emily’s baby is cut out of her! Emily wakes up at the hospital but without her baby, she’s distraught and her friends are very supportive. The story is told in 2 timelines, the past and present, where secrets are discovered. This is an intense, quick read.
This book is every parent’s nightmare. No mother wants to wake up and find out that the baby she was carrying is gone. Where and how do you even begin your search? Some women really don’t know how strong they really are until it comes to their children. Buckle up for a ride that you won’t forget. Great read!!
An excellent fast paced thriller read which kept me involved in the storyline and with the characters
It was well written and I can thoroughly recommend.
Thanks to NetGalley and Joffe Books for this Advanced Reader’s Copy of The Night They Stole My Baby by Darren O’Sullivan due to be published May 23, 2024.
Emily was leaving her baby shower and headed for home when she was attacked at her door. She wakes up with a huge headache and a sore stomach. Emily feels where her baby should be but is gone. She feels stitches. Someone has stolen her baby!
The Night They Stole My Baby alternates between two time periods – the present time and when Emily was a child living with her mother and her sister. This one kept me guessing – was it Lucas, the baby’s father? Her best friend, Michelle, who wanted a child? Her friends Adam and Jack who wanted a baby of their own? The book builds to a great climax as we find out exactly what happened to baby Freya – named after Emily’s sister.
This is one you will not want to miss from a new-to-me author!
