I love Sarra Manning’s books, she is an immediate buy and read author for me, and this is one of my favourites. Multiple rereads haven’t dimmed its wit, charm, or delicious sexiness. It takes a little while for the story to get going but for me that just builds anticipation. The forced proximity trope is used well here, and the chemistry between the leads just sizzles. Yes, this isn’t a perfect book and some things don’t age particularly well but for me this story shows an author who will only improve with every book, and that has improved to be true. Very much looking forward to reading ‘The Last Days of Summer' - out in a few weeks time.

I must admit that I found this quite a slow burner to start with, and despite falling love with the book at first sight of the cover, I briefly struggled and considered giving up. I think this was because Sarra Manning spends the first part of the book fully building the character of Ellie, and although it didn't seem particularly overkill with detail, I found myself wanting it to move on.

I am sorry I was unable to read this book within the timescales of it being published, thank you for the opportunity, should I read it in the future I will review it online
