I know this book was released a couple of years ago now, but I was given access to it via Netgalley and loved it so much that I still felt I wanted to share.

The characters are SO brilliant. I am immediately drawn to a small town crime novel, and this fulfilled!
Jason and Amita's developing relationship is completely heartwarming and definitely the heart of the narrative to me. Listening to them go from bickering mother and son-in-law, so genuine friends who enjoyed their quest together was really special.
and the dénouement was both unexpected and fulfilling at the same time.

I felt that this book also transcribed so well to audio! The narrator did a fabulous job at voicing Jason and Amita differently without being too over the top or theatrical. It was a joy.
