A multi-generational tale of the Harrison family and those surrounding them. Yes, there are quite a few characters to get to know, but I navigated this quite successfully and soon became immersed in their lives. Each family member has their own story, their own highs and lows, some of which can’t help impacting on the others. Actions have consequences and in some instances not the ones that were anticipated. It’s a great melting pot of emotions which I found myself immersed in, making it difficult to put this book down. There were surprises too, which I didn’t see coming – many twists which took the various stories into directions I had not anticipated. The author creates very real characters, sometimes flawed, but very human. All in all a great read and worthy of every one of the four stars I have given it.

I would like to thank Boldwood, the author and Netgalley for an ARC of The Simple Rules of Love in exchange for an honest review.
