While this was a really interesting story and I thought the writing was great, I couldn't get over the feeling that Kel had to be talked into being a third in this couple, and it really bothered me. I can't say that I felt like Kel had a lot of a voice and I definitely do not feel that his Dom had the right level of protection for him.
I tried to read this but I wasn't a huge fan. It didn't grip me quick enough to keep me wanting to finish the book. Maybe I will go back to it another time.
My brain wasn’t 100% engaged when I picked this up so I was unclear who is who, I decided not to reread the blurb for funsies.
Kel - Military veteran was a POW at some point
Tyrone - Dommy “normal” dude
London - Socially confused, with an impulse control disorder
This book felt very slow, reading 30 pages felt like a feat.
Lots of dynamic building among the three MCs and to be perfectly honest, I’ve not been a huge fan. It all seems a little predatory in a very casual way. It felt like Kel was convinced to join the couple and rationalised into it. Like he was convinced by them it was something he wanted to do, all because Ty thought he was hot, while London liked his body and thought he smelled good. The whole dynamic feels a little lop sided, they call him a good sub (in front of people...unnegotiated), but he never really externally or internally identifies that way.
I wasn't a huge fan of the intermingling of POV within the chapters.
Spicy but also has a real story line and hits on a topic that we don’t hear to much of which is Polyamory. You see how hard it can be for some to fully accept who they are and what they want.
A Little Weird is not your typical romance novel, and that's what makes it so refreshing. The dynamic between Kel, London, and Ty is intriguing and keeps you hooked from start to finish. What I enjoyed most about this book was how it explored the complexities of relationships and the unexpected connections that can form between people. It's a story that challenges norms and explores the beauty of embracing the unconventional. As someone who enjoys reading, I found myself completely engrossed in the characters' journey and couldn't put it down.

A Little Weird is the perfect title for this one. It's a great read as an intro to the BDSM world. The relationship between the 3 main characters didn't seem that close to me, it wasn't clear how they knew each other or why London thought to approach Kel with her proposal, what made her feel comfortable to do that? But once their "relationship" between the 3 began it came together.
