This is my second Sarah Ready book, and it won’t be my last. I loved Switched and couldn’t wait to read this. I love the author’s vision for these two; what a ride!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC to review. All opinions are my own.

Ghosted is truly my favorite series Sarah Ready has ever written and each book consistently just keeps on getting better and better. Fated is book three in the Ghosted series and it follows Fiona, Daniel’s sister, and Aaron, a mysterious man she encounters in her dreams. Fiona Abry is the CEO of Abry Watch Company, a family owned Swiss watch company she and Daniel inherited from their late father. Fiona closed herself off from love after being abandoned by people she trusted the most. When Fiona’s mom gives her a family heirloom that has been missing years ago and tells her that not only did she steal the watch but that it can make dreams come true and show what your hearts desire. Skeptical but curious, Fiona decides to use it one night after recounting her family members telling her to find herself and to open herself up to love again. There in her dreams, Fiona comes in contact with a man named Aaron who is apparently her husband and they have two children together. As Fiona grapples between reality and fiction, she has to decide which life she’s willing to choose.

Fated is by far the most tender-hearted in the series. There is so much vulnerability and guilt throughout the book. Fated is story about trust and growth. It’s about the sacrifices of love, rediscovering yourself again and learning how to heal. It’s about accepting the outcome of one’s fate and allowing it to happen in order to overcome future trials and tribulations. But most of all, it’s a story of learning how to be gentle with yourself and learning how to overcome your fears by giving yourself leniency and reprieving your past mistakes.

While I loved Fiona’s resilience and vulnerability, it was Aaron that I fell in love with while reading this book. He is the epitome of a man whose love is steadfast and unwavering. His love for Fiona was devoted and genuine even when he was getting whiplashed from Fiona’s constant switch in behavior and personality. Sarah Ready writes characters that are easy to fall in love with and my heart went straight to Aaron the moment he was introduced in the book. With that being said, I am absolutely ecstatic for the next book in the series because I so desperately wanted a happy ending for Max.

Thank you so much NetGalley for allowing me to read an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

*3.5 stars

I’m a huge fan of this series by Sarah Ready. You couldn’t pry me away from the first two novels. This one however…I had some mixed feelings about it.

I was so conflicted by this one. I don’t want to name any specifics because they are spoilers, but I’ll give it a go. I didn’t like who Fiona became in her dream world. I mean her heart is great but the whole scenario made me upset (and I felt terrible for Aaron) but I eventually figured out what Ready was doing and understood why this was happening.

I disliked how this takes place before the first and second book, so we do briefly see Daniel with other women. I wasn’t a fan of that.

I felt so bad for Max. I love him and my heart broke for him. I’ll leave it at that, but I’m happy the next novel is about him.

I did like all the side characters - Amy was so smart; Sean was just plain old cute; and the towns folk were funny.

I did really enjoy the last 15% of the novel when everything came together. The whole shooter thing is still confusing to me. BUT it was a great ending.

Overall, just an okay novel, but I am still a fan of Ready and will be reading her books in the future.

Fated
Ghosted
Switched

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The third magical rom/com in the series. Fiona is too busy to do anything with her love life. She's given a heirloom that would let her dream her greatest desire. Then she starts spending her nights on a tropical island as a happily married woman with 2 kids. Will the magic last?

It's a stand-alone but I love the mentions of characters in the earlier books. The characters are terrific. They are likable and charming. The plot is magically sweet. Really enjoy the entire series.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Thank you to NetGalley and Swift & Lewis Publishing LLC for providing this book, with my honest review below.

Fated was a great fantasy romance novel, and I loved its characters as well the underlying mystery around whether Fiona’s dreams at night about Aaron, the island, and his kids were just pure fantasy or fact. The tail end of this really made it as it adds some tragedy and adventure to the sweet plot.

Fiona has a charmed life but something is definitely missing for her. When her ancestor's pocket watch is purported to deliver her her greatest desire in her dreams she is shocked to be dreaming she is Becca, a women living on a small island off the coast of Brazil with her husband, Aaron, and her two children. But is Aaron real and is this type of life attainable for Fiona? At first I was a little confused on how this would all come together as a romance, given Fiona is dreaming as Becca. But it does and I loved the wrap up.

It looks like Sarah Ready has other books similar to this in the fantasy romance space and I am eager to check them out as this was sweet and the perfect amount of uniqueness to set it apart.

If you are looking for an escape from the every day, this book might be the read for you. I started this book last night, and have not been able to put it down! I was pulled into a story that immediately transported me away, with magic, love, and so much imagination. After a tragedy, Fiona’s mother pays her a visit and brings with her a storied family heirloom. Fi is transported to a dream world, where she is living a VERY different life than she lives as an executive in the family business. Torn between her dreams and reality, she is trying to find the best life for her and her daughter in the real world.

I can’t say enough about this book - I loved every minute, though I wish we had gotten a little more at the end, before the epilogue. It was so good, and this is a book that now is listed among my favorites.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley; all opinions are my own.

I started this book IMMEDIATELY because I was so excited. The thing I will say is that Sarah Ready’s ideas are next level. She is the QUEEN of good book ideas. Unfortunately though she’s usually a huge hit or a huge miss for me. And I just felt like this one was lacking something. It was a LOT of details. It felt like the story wasn’t flowing. But hey anytime I see a Sarah Ready book I’ll be reading it!
