I’ve been considering reading a Marie Lu book for a while and this one did not disappoint. Action, forbidden romance, some delicious twists that one suspects but isn’t sure of.

Cossette Sydney is an American agent working for a specialist group called Panacea who take on very tricky operations. Her mission this time involves working undercover with the music megastar Winter who is not usually a secret agent, but his stardom and tours give the group access to difficult places. Still reeling from her experience with Winter on their first mission together, Sydney finds herself back at his studio recruiting him for a second. There follows an adventure full of danger, emotions in turmoil and of course the actual job – the rescue of one of the Panacea team, who happens to be an ex of Sydney’s!!

Perfect YA escapism.
